Alafornia's 1st Time Multistrain Medical Grow

It's happening: 20 ml coconut oil with 2.5 grams of OG Kush CBD in the Instant Pot set to 15 PSI at 246 F (learning how to do this and didn't slow down to read the book) for 1 hour 50 minutes to make 9.7 mg/capsule. Today is just a verification of concept so not too worried about being slightly off.

Feels strange without Alabama in the playoff. Hopefully they can beat the Wolverines in a few days.

Nice work Al.
Applying pressure through the infusion must help with increased concentrations.
I’m frustrated at the limitations of the passive method (jar in oven) for extraction.
I plan to get a rosin press and use the rosin for capsules. See how that goes.
I really like the capsules I’ve been making. They are very effective for pain relief. On a mini-quest to make them stronger.
Enjoy the football.

Thanks, Double D. I'm excited to see how well they work. Can't wait to see your WW.

I need to learn how to use resin for capsules but first I need a press, More shizit to buy. then get a nice Dab rig. I been wondering how to make caps stronger too I have tried several things, Taking it in and out of the fridge recooking it with more weed added Hell I used 3 ounces in two cups of oil in the MBM2. I may add another ounce and see what that does. Good luck and if you figure anything out let me know Donkey

This is where I’m heading with the capsules.
Local dealer sadist wants $900/20ml bottle of CBD oil. First time I’ve slept in 6 mths!
In about 3 months I’ll have some ripe CBD flowers of my own.

First time making oil for capsule from the home stash.

I'll go ahead and get the mistakes out of the way:

I forgot to put lecithin in the batch after straining.

While straining I lost some trying to use a fork and spoon to squeeze a little extra out - nearly lost the whole damn thing. :D As it is I wound up with 12 capsules instead of closer to 22 like I anticipated.

I didn't take the time to read the book on how to use the machine so just used the canning setting which is a few degrees higher than 230F/110C. I think it was 246F.

Coffee filters are OK but I think I'll order some cheesecloth since I couldn't find any locally.

@Tangled is going to try it out tonight and give her take.

Next time I'll be a little more patient and try to get everything closer to perfect.

The capsule machine really shaves some time off the process and it's less than $30.

Basically, I used 20 ml of coconut oil and 2.5 grams of OG Kush CBD ground flower. I put that together into a pint mason jar. I filled the inner pot up to the level of the oil in the jar with the jar sitting up on the included "stand" to keep it away from the bottom (which gets hotter than the water does). I just placed the lid on loosely where it could vent but was unlikely to let water in (none got in).

After the Instant Pot was done and cooled I drained the still warm oil into the filter to strain. I used a 10 ml syringe to pull up the oil and push it into the capsules. I had some butterfly tubing attached. It seems the small caliber made moving the oil difficult so I may try something different next time unless I used olive oil, which should be a little easier to work with. Maybe.

Wow. LSU is just whipping the Sooners.

Well done, Al.
I hope it does what @Tangled needs.
I’ve been cutting up an old silk shirt for my filters. This means I can bunch it up, wring it out, then squeeze in a g clamp between some small pieces of metal. Gets me more of a return.
:yummy: Cheers bro.

I saw where Sweet Sue uses silk, too. May get that instead since I don't have a single silk shirt.

Any time anyone wants to talk college football this is a good place. Doesn't matter the team, though I am partial.

LSU looks unbeatable. The winner of the next game will have something to say about that, though.

Is there anything better than watching college football that doesn't involve eating or coitus or both? Combine them all together and I dare you to find something better. :D

The Buckeyes have completely lost the mo. Stupid mistakes are hurting them.

Holding my breath here.... Kind of a Clemson fan... just don't wanna see any of the kids get hurt.

Never want to see anyone get hurt. Clemson is tough. If OSU wants to win this is a critical possession.

This is the first time I've watched OSU, they are impressive for sure.

High risk/high reward play call there.

I've kept up with them through the season. I always try to watch the good teams when I can. I enjoy the hell out of it and want to see the teams Alabama is likely to eventually play. This year it's Michigan. In one sense it's nice watching the playoff without the pressure of winning.

This game is so much better than the earlier one, I knew LSU would win, but I didn't really see that spanking coming. I'm in OK, but have never been an OU fan. Oklahoma is constantly rated higher than what they actually are, but that is my opinion.

Your opinion is valid 90% of the time or more.

I thought the Sooners would keep it a game for 2 or 3 quarters before LSU pulled away. I didn't expect the total beat down. LSU is going to be tough for either of these teams to beat. They have defense, running, passing, power, finesse - just a tough team.

Check the flag here but that's a big INT by Clemson.
