Alafornia's 1st Time Multistrain Medical Grow

Thanks Bls. I guess the reason I was wandering was..... sadly I got sucked into using Oasis cubes a couple months back, and they required a 5.5 pH supposedly. I followed their directions with their cubes and only got one out of five to take, whereas, went back to using soil, (Happy frog, cause it's cheap here right now) and have had great success. But, half the time I forget to adjust the pH of the water, but I am at close to 75% on my clones. I do see some dark specks on some of the lower growth after about 14 days. And I don't know if this is pH fluctuation or some other nutrient issue. Thanks again.
I would say roll with the punches. If everything seems to be running like clock work without PH’ing your water, then you can’t fix what’s not broken!

Again, I wouldn’t give that advice to most people, but if it’s working, it’s working! (Shrugs it off):ganjamon:

Generally speaking, in a good soil you need not worry about pH too much.
Thanks Ala . Probably right. If I tweak things too much, it only causes damage. Dealing with a strain called "Cherry Pie" and she is so finicky, any adjustments in nutrients and she responds instantly.... or within hours.

Oh heck yeah!!! Thanks BLS... I'm learning I'm learning.... slowly it seems... but I am learning. Thank you.

Hey fornia! Not sure if you've read this one, but SS put a thread together for instant pot infusions:

No need to read the manual :).

Don't fix what ain't broken. I can't disagree with that as a philosophy.

Haven't grown cherry pie, but wedding cake is CP's love child with girl scout cookies and I am growing wedding cake. I don't play with nutes much being in a super soil. Pretty steady here. I agree with BLS: do what's working.

We are ALL learning, some of us just started that journey earlier.

I just finished cloning 18 of 3 Mothers using that exact method with 2 lots bottles as a dome and it works a treat, just take the lid off to burp them every now and then
Do you like this method bro

I'm liking my method overall. With this particular method my success rate is somewhere around 2/3 or 3/4 - I'd have to do more thinking than I'm capable of now to get a more precise number.

Thanks, Shed. I did read through that one. I have to figure out the temp thing but not a big deal for now. The oil I made turned out pretty good. The older son and the wife thought it did well. There was NO odor while "cooking" and barely an odor when I opened the jar. Tangled says the other capsules had an odor and a taste while this had neither. The effects were similar to her while my older son reported the home made batch seemed to help a little more. They each took two 10mg/10mg capsules. He does this once a week and she is somewhat tolerant.

Had a few in the tent that needed watering tonight.

Here’s the veg tent from a couple of angles:

Depending on where you are this may be my last post of 2019 (like it is here) or my first post of 2020.

Either way, I hope each and every one of you have a Happy New Year.

I also want to thank everyone for helping me have a successful start of this journey, including a great first grow and harvest. Your support, both in grow support and in mental/emotional support, has been overwhelmingly helpful. I would begin naming names but would inevitably leave someone out. You know who you are (if you are reading this it is very likely you) and I want you to know you are appreciated more than you know and more than I’ve ever been able to express. Thank you!

This has been a hell of a year with ups and downs. I am doing my best to take a positive attitude into 2020 and hope that the things that need to get better so get better. While we’ve struggled aplenty, we’ve also had our faith restored. I have found some of the Earth’s most beautiful and precious gems here and elsewhere. I have continued to place distance between myself and toxic people. My family has reached the highest highs ( no pun intended, but yeah) and some very low lows. This journal won the last GJOTM of 2019 and I thank everyone again for your contributions. A year ago growing was just beginning to be an idea in this crazy head of mine. I never expected to meet great people like you. Thank you, again!

May we all find peace, love, happiness, security, stability, and whatever else our minds and bodies need and desire. May we find that strain or strains that provide relief of pain, anxiety, PTSD, autism symptoms, and whatever else ails us. May our plants be green and strong and produce beautiful and bountiful harvests. May our highs be higher and our lows be higher, too. May we all grow without too much hardship and may our fruit be a bounty of good will towards others

Happy New Year!

Happy new year Al! That was a great post! Thank you for being you! I’m upset this morning and has been a great way to start 2020, it is just a glimpse of what this year is going to be for me. :(
I want to thank you for being you and teaching me what you’ve taught me.:Namaste:

Thank you for being you, BLS. Your support and encouragement through the hard times these past months have been invaluable. I hope that the new year surprises you with the enormity of good things to happen.

Roll Tide! Already up 7-0 on Michigan.

Alabama is lucky to not be down by seven. Need a score.

Thanks Al! Means a lot! :circle-of-love:

I hope so too! (Fingers crossed). I get the best gift of all, come May. The gift of a beautiful child! Fingers crossed, are not necessary!

I hope your team does well today!

Breathing room...

Whew! Nice win against the Wolverines.

Quick congrats on Bama's win and again to wish yourself, Tangled and all a Blessed and Happy New Year!

Thanks, oops. Happy New Year to you and yours!

Tough first half but the halftime adjustments were golden.

And Auburn lost. Good way to start the year! :D

I up potted the clones to seven gallon fabric pots and moved them to the flower tent to finish vegging there.

One thing I’ve noticed is that my first “one gal” pots were less than and the “five gal” were roughly the same as my present three gallon pots. My seven gal fabric pots aren’t much bigger than the three gal pots. Now I’m wondering if the previous grow had four plants in three gal pots. It seems that some are calling these something they aren’t in the worst case scenario. Has anyone else encountered similar issues?

Anyway, now the plants all have room to spread out. I’ll have to put the “seedlings” in bigger pots soon.

Hope everyone had a great day and your new year is filled with goodness.

Yeah, I agree @Alafornia . Sometimes at the hydro store they carry different brands, some being taller and others shorter but wider. Sometimes when you order them online, never know whatcha going to get.
The short wide ones are my favorite

I like the new short/wide ones I got recently as well.

Did a little research after getting home and found that it really is the wild west. There is little in the way of standards, so my confusion is not an anomaly. I feel better that I'm no more crazy today than last week but worse that plant pot sizes are like a box of chocolates - you never know what your gonna get.
