AK1 Grows Indicas with JD Lightings

i doubt it needs to be, we dont have to do it their way, we have typical stoner 'outside the box' thinking. whatever the exact temprature of our exhaust air, there is energy to be had and more than one way to harvest it. the spirit of the device is here the best tech to use in our enviroment is probably already possible, its just needs a eureka moment to appear...i say there will be something feasible to us by 2015.

That is not a typo :)
I'll headon over later tonight, i'm helping a newbie with something at the moment.

Holly shit Bat Man .

your going to need one if these if you loose power this winter. My figures it would pay for it's self 3 times over not to loose a crop during a power out this winter.
Briggs & Stratton 45000 Watt Liquid Cooled Natural Gas (NG) or Liquid Propane (LP) Standby Generator #76031

That seems like an ideal security measure to have but I am sure the initial investment would break the Bank :thedoubletake: ha ha

:peace:

really you think it would break the bank. Maybe it's a little over kill. But when you are talking 12 flowing lights and more. 3000$$-4,000 a hood it really only takes 1 time to recoup the costs or be at a total loose and find some way to pay the bills cause you lost a crop.

it's a piece of equipment that is on my list.

I will be buying one of the 20,000 brigs and strats myself. 4,000.00

if you start thinking the total amps your house will pull it's going to take a big generator. Remember it's not the wat's it's the total amps is important.

Hey just for shitz and giggles ask Pops how big a generator it would take to keep your house running in a power outage.

i can figure it out, just don't feel like doing the math at the moment. I am a honda generator tech amoung other things and hold a top 100 tech awards from honda

well when you do figure yours out will ya do mine?

6x1000 say 30 amps 220v
2x 600 say 10 amps 220v
house A/c and mini split on 220v
stove 220v
Room a/c 110v
450wt5's 110v
fridge 110v
oh its adding up fast.

Well I'm running on a 100amp breaker now, need to upgrade to 150amp before summer and mini split a/c. so I guess I would need a Generator that could be close to 150amps or at least min 100amp gen.

So it looks like minimum for me might be a 15,000w and a 20,000w would give a little room. Maybe not it seems I need close to 100amps in 220 voltage. thats 2x30amp a/c's and 30amps in lights (only one room runs at a time) that makes it look like only the 30,000w gen may suffice.

I don't know if if you thought this far ahead but I did as a total crop loss could cost me aprox 20g's.

Did ya see for the description of that Generator, it was a 5.0 v8 GM powered monster, just like your grow is going to be.

Your going to need probates just like subcool420.

In order to figure out what generator you need first you'll have to know 2 things. Watt surge and steady watt usage. Watt surge is what anything uses when it first fires up. Steady watts of course is the watts used while the machine is running steadily.
Example. When you first turn on a 100 watt light bulb the average electrical surge is 150 watts.

I'll give you some information I was given by honda

Also remember that there are two type of power. Normal Ac?DC power and inverted power. Inverted power is much cleaner power due to the hertz it produces. You want to run any new TV's monitors and computer systems with inverted power or if the generator had a surge it could blow any of those things up. With inverted clean power you'd have no such issue.

Ok, some quick updates....... Been cleaning out in the garage again tonight. Started moving things up to the attic all by myself. Of course it's no fun at all. Worked upstairs today a bit and cleaned out the upstairs hall closet. It now has room for all my tools I use, some nutes and it is now also my curing area for my bud (that took up two shelves)

On another note......I have found out the 20 amp breaker I have for my new 240 volt box will not work. I keep tripping it. Soooooo. gonna go get me some 10/2 240 wiring tomorrow and a 30 amp breaker. ugh more money out i can't afford. With no A/C in the room and only the one vent the room with all lights going runs at about 81 degrees. Lil more hot then I want it. May be able to open the attic crawlway up to let more cool air in. May just put another vent in. I have that 6 incher just sitting around.

To end on a positive note....I found my wallet that has been missing for 3 days. Of course. It was all my wifes fault. I like doing my own laundry. Don't touch my clothes I'll handle it.......she touched my clothes with the wallet inside the pants. MY pants were in HER dirty clothes hampner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear you found your wallet......lmao
side note on my grow. it's cool here in MI 60's not the 49's of the last couple nights and my whole house is warm, all windows open, room is running 85 I have a/c set for 83 to try to keep it from cycling to much.

Hey my friend don't forget what ever a/c you put in there is going to need a 20amp 110 breaker by itself. Can I make a suggestion, fuk it it's me, of course I will. the yellow line running your lights now. you said you had 2, switch them back to 110 and use 1 for the a/c unit. the other for any 110 shit at your board. since you going to run the 10/3 for the 220v.

Hey and if you have to return the sentential controller just let me know (wink) maybe when you pick yours up see if the have a better standing with sentential than my hydro store and see how long for them to get another 1 in.

Man that's the second time she has put something where it shouldn't be!!! Like I said before..that would drive me crazy. :smokin::smokin:

On another subject...I get up and Jo tells me she cleaned out all the bushes on the side of the house! That was my friggin camouflage! :yikes::yikes:

im glad to know im not the only one thats not cool with someone else doing my laundry yeah! im not a weirdo!!

Doode, before I was married and living with my wife i never lost clothes at ALL. moved in with the wife to be and I lost sock after sock. Due to my diabetes I wear the spendy nike socks. Helps my feet. Jesus I has so many mismatched socks you couldn't believe it. I'd have to ransack all the laundry baskets and go looking for them so I told her not to touch my clothes and I'd handle all my own laundry.
