Ace Panama, Groot, In High Brix

Hello, I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
Wanted to update on all the ladies today...

First up is Destroyer, she is apparently very thirst these days. She is around 42" tall now and still growing about an inch a day. Bud sites are coming in nicely, and so far I haven't burned any leaves!!

Today I pruned her up 3 nodes, she looks much better now! I also top dressed her with recharge, scratched that in, topped with a cup of EWC, scratched that in, then topped that with a few handfuls of fresh HB soil and watered that in with Transplant Drench (15ml + Tea 1.5ml) in 1.5gal water... shell be praying tomorrow!

Before Clean-up
After Clean-up

Next we have the CD-1... she was having some issues with rusty spots and such. I think I will try and transplant her next weekend. I am using 6ml drench in 1 qt water plus tea just to keep her healthy... not sure why she is so damn hungry!!

Anyway, today I pruned her up a bit... maybe a bit too much but shell be ok.

And last but not least is the DDA, she looks pretty good but could be better. I think when I sprayed brix the other day a bit might have drifted onto her, not much damage just a couple spots on the leaves. I will admit, it has been hard not watering it. I did as usual and gave a bit of water in a 3"-4" circle around the stem... when it felt really dry up top. I would stick my index finger all the way down and if it was really dry, time for a bit of water.. 1/4 cup or so.

Well I guess that's it for now, hope you all enjoy the pics... hopefully they look ok once up on a bigger screen. Have a great day!

How do you know the Destroyer is dry? By weight? Posture? I've had issues with dry pockets in large pots. Sometimes the rootball doesn't get a good soak.

Otherwise, she's beautiful! I'd expect maybe another 6-8 inches maximum. It reminds me a lot of the last Carn1 I ran - it should fatten up that framework nicely. :slide:

Hey Daj! They're all looking great! :high-five:

:passitleft:
Hey thanks Ween! Doing my best to keep em healthy! :passitleft:
All looking really nice :high-five:

Yup the hardest part in Veg is waiting out the WATERING / DRY Cycle;)
That it is Gazoo, I think I just let them get a bit too dry and that’s why they get these issues. Ima try watering when they are just a tad heavier for a bit and see how they react. Thanks for the kind words!

Hey Gray, well the only way I check in flower for how dry they are is pick em up... like in veg. She was pretty dang light this morning, I was really surprised... made me think maybe I watered her and forgot to put it in my notes till a day or two later... don’t think I did but just blows my mind she drank so fast. We shall see, if she needs it again on Tuesday... no mistake, if it’s longer then I messed up. Idk about the dry pocket, I mean I pour in the whole 1.5 gals and there is nothing left. I don’t like to totally saturate, like where there’s a bit left in the tray, if I do that they don’t seem as happy. Now this lot is actually 11.85 gallons but I call it 12, so I should probably use a bit more water but am very happy with her looks so far. Nice, I can handle another 6-8” no prob!!
Thanks Gray!!

If it soaks it up, it soaked it up! :)

It'd probably love a shot of Brix about now, with all that metabolizing going on. Maybe add some Growth to the next watering.

Looks very promising.

Yes sir, she’s due Brix tomorrow! I’ll hit her with it about an hour after lights on.
You think full Drench? Or just like a 1/4-1/2 strength since she just got the TP? I’d like to get a full Growth then one more TP before cats but that may not happen.
Thanks Gray, I have a good feeling about her.

Oh and yes... actually think maybe a bit more water. Poured the whole 1.5 down the top to water in the recharge and such... nothing came out the bottom.

Looking good, if it gets much taller you will need a new ruler
Hey there KB! Yes sir, I actually got a fabric tape measure from the wife, was going to tape it up on the back wall but decided to just measure here and there instead.
The Destroyer and the CD-1 both had some Brix this morning. That Destroyer was praying and looking very happy this morning. Noticed a couple of burned leaves wat down low, but pretty sure it’s damage from a fan I’m using that is a bit too powerful even on low!

Hope you have a great day KB!

I wouldn't worry too much about her wanting water after 2 days. I have a Zamaldelica x Ethiopian that is a fast drinker too. I did the same thing, I watered it and 2 days later it was almost too dry. She needs water every 3 days now and that's pushing it as far as I can, if I let her go 6 more hours she'd probably start to wilt.
Good to know Neiko, thank you! I was wondering if I made a mistake, she should need more today if she's going to continue that pace.

Morning Bump, @Graytail I might need to give water/drench today... Whatcha think on this?

Dunno, it just seems like it's on a roll, so why not feed it? If it were mine, I'd feed 1ml/soil gallon of Growth - see how she takes it. :slide:

That's not on the schedule though. :)

I agree, I know it’s not on the schedule but was thinking since she’s so tall it would be nice to try and thicken up those stems a bit more. I think doing it on the low side will do her good. Then I may have time for a water with a bit of tea and then another TP jist before the cats!
Thanks Gray! I appreciate your input.

Looking great here Dajerm!

The Schrom I have in a 7 gal pot, needs watering every 1-2 days. I’m shocked when I give her a full gal of drench, and then the next day she feels light. If I go 2 full days, she is usually wilted, which is not good when in bloom. Very vigorous plant.

Hey gang, decision time...
I’m not sure what’s up with the DDA, it was so slow from the start and is still crazy slow. Here she is in a 10gal pot:

Already flowering and she’s not even branching. Color is bad and of course since the pot takes forever to dry she just looks terrible. Idk what to do but pull her... I was curious if I could pull that out and Transplant the CD-1 in the same pot with the same soil...
any suggestions welcome! Thanks everyone!

Edit: Dang... sorry about those bad pics. Something is strange about this plant... I don't think I have one in focus shot of it...

Hey Daj! Sure you could transplant into the same pot but the dda didn't look to bad, I don't see why you don't give her a shot, maybe you'll be surprised.

:passitleft:
Very true Ween... I’m just getting a bit impatient with her. She’s just not performing well. I’m thinking if I had put her in a 5 or 7 gallon pot it would dry faster and I could give more feedings/ it would have better roots too. I’ll think on it... thanks Ween!
i have never run autos but I suspect they would act like that ?
Hey there Gazoo! Well I’ve grown a few autos in the past and they usually branch out and have a nice shape and great color. My this time in their grow they were much fuller and didn’t start to bloom until they had bushed out pretty well. I am also going off what Amy and.... hmmm... another member... can’t remember who... both have said theirs are about the same and both are also a bit frustrated. Maybe when Amy comes back online she can tell us if hers is doing better. Thanks Gazoo!

Have a great day guys!

I grew a few Dark Devils out 4 years ago or so and most of them were on the smaller low yielding side of things. I had one that produced not even a half ounce. Looked quite a bit like yours honestly. I think it is just the nature of the strain. Finding great ones is hit or miss. Most of them got colorful, some more than others. Everyone that tried it though loved the high.
