Ace Panama, Groot, In High Brix

I keep all of my panels as high as I can get them. I have plants that are from 3 feet away to within 6 inches of the light. I will say that they dislike being iwthin 6 inches. i would try and make sure you are about a foot away or more from the panels or you may see some light/heat stress. I get fairly solid buds on most of my plants all the way to the bottoms. I have a 7 foot tall tent with pots that are probably 12-14 inches tall.

Awesome, well maybe that’s part of the reason Groot burned so bad. My last tent was so short the light was only around 8-10” away from the top of the plant, if that. Really looking forward to the Destroyer and the DDA, I think with the taller, better quality tent, I may just get some nice plants consistently.

Was thinking I could just put a bit of soil on top, a little every few days so I don,t smother her... untill only a couple inches of stem are up... thats my plan anyway!!

Hmmm... day 9 since flip for Destroyer and still not one single pistil... and she's already 30" tall.
I never topped her, she self topped so I let her be... now i'm hoping that wasn't a mistake, dont want her too tall.
Any ideas or suggestions gang? anyone else think she should be throwing pistils by now?

DDA is looking good, the extra soil helped so now she doesnt look so tall and lanky.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well today! I guess I will be off work again today due to weather!
 
My Destroyer was a compact hybrid shape - no trouble with stretch at all. In my garden strains usually show pistils by the 10th day. I hope you don't have a Thai leaner. :confused:

Uh oh... that would mean a very very long flower wouldn’t it? How long do thai leaning phenos flower?

Guess I’ll hope the DDA doesn’t take too long...

Some Thais never stop blooming. :rolleyes: The Meao isn't one of those though.

Leaf shape will tell you a lot. If they're not the long skinny fluffy leaves, you should be ok. I just mention it because I sometimes forget that there can be other phenos than the one I grew. DrGrinspoon was the same way for me - I got an easy hybrid pheno, and others got a fluffy long one.

Don' let me scare you. I guess I'm more curious than anything at this point. I dropped a Destroyer of my own yesterday, expecting what I had 5 years ago, so I'll be watching yours to see how it varies. After 5 years I suppose they must be a different batch.

Ah ok, gotcha... idk I don’t think it’s got that thin of leaves.... so maybe I’m safe. Would like her to finish around 10-12 weeks, but I don’t have that much control over that. Here’s some pics... she still had some weird leaf issues which she’s had her whole life. Still a pretty lady!

IKR KB, that will be crazy! But I won’t complain! Was going to Cob the whole DDA, but I’d like to smoke some straight flower too... so maybe half and half. I will be Cobing that whole Panama clone, though due to its leaf issues the buds are mostly fluff. I’ll be lucky to get 3-4 Oz. Probably closer to 2-2.5.

How much have they grown in that 9 days? It looks like almost a double, but from where ... :hmmmm: Is it closing in on 30 inches?

I'm thinking another double from here ... :bongrip:

She’s grown about 13 inches in the last 9 days... she’s at 30” now... so you’re thinking it could be Thai leaning?
Oh man... if she gets that tall I’ll need to set the DDA up on a stool, cause naturally I’ll need to raise the lights.
Would topping now be a big no no?
Or would I be better off letting her go as is? I figured she wouldn’t get so tall since she self topped, lesson learned!!
 
Lets see what happens in the next week or so. You might want to get Duggan in here - he's doing a great job on his stretchers. But no reason to do anything today - just be looking ahead. If it doesn't start filling out by the weekend, you may want to make future plans. With the alternating nodes, I'm not sure it would help much to top right now, but you could think about supercropping the tops if she don' slow down.
