Ace Panama, Groot, In High Brix

Morning gang, quick update and a few pics.
Groot received Brix foliar (4ml+Water 5oz)
I also trimmed her up pretty good, I hope I didn’t go overboard. Here ya go, lemme know what ya think gang!

Before the trim, this pic is from the other day:

After the trim... this morning.

She looks great to me. If you can look down from the top and see soil then you are getting good light penetration. That plant is going to be stacked with beautiful Panama bud. You'll be hooked on sativas after you finish that one I'm sure.
:welldone:

Thanks neikodog! I noticed after I do my last trim, they always wind up crowded several weeks later... so I took it a bit further this time, I think it looks thin now, but will fill out fast. I’m excited to see what I get off this one, and I bet I’ll love the sativas too!

Looking awesome Daj! :high-five:

Thanks Ween shes coming along pretty good!

Ok, so I never told you guys what I got off of Noel... from the harvest. 3.6 Oz... not bad for a newb... and the nugs are crazy dense... kinda more dense than I like, but I’m not gonna complain about that. Not a bad haul, pretty sure that’s my best from one plant... that diy led I’m using is pretty awesome too. Even the super tiny, very bottom buds that are usually just fluff... came out very hard and dense. Very cool!! No fluffy buds at all, anywhere in that plant.

I just did a quick check to make sure I didn't miss it, but fill me in on this DIY LED please. I ask because I just built an array that is untested, but I am otherwise quite proud of. A few finishing touches and once my current finishing plants are down, I hope to put this 360w array in place of 400w of blurple I've used to great benefit over the last several years. If the results meet my expectations, I'll build another one and cover this 4x4 tray corner to corner.

He posted it in Doc's thread at some point. It looks similar to mine but he did a nicer job with his.

They are diode boards run off of a meanwell HLG-240-2100B driver. I have 4 sitting in my tent pulling about 1040 watts and I am getting way better results than I did from 1200 of HPS.

Thanks for helping out Yeti! I was pretty busy last night... didn’t have time to reply.
Yup Yeti helped me out a ton as well as Graytail! If I missed someone I’m really sorry..
the 3 boards together on my led panel pull about 250 Watts... plenty of penetration as well. No fluffy buds at all on my last grow (first full grow with these new lights.)
Here’s a few pics of mine, idk about doing a better job than Yeti... his look damn good! I would love it if you dropped off some of your project... I bet it’s pretty damn sweet!
Flower light:

Veg light:

Kinda forgot about spectrum... the flower light is 5k and the veg is 4K... seems to work great!

I have been thinking about making another 4 panels. i have two veg areas and another small flower tent. I have been meaning to swap out my 600 HPS for a 315 CMH in the mean time and just have not gotten to it. 2 panels will out perform either one though. Its just a matter of another $600 or so to build the panels lol.
Nice Yeti, sounds like some more fun coming your way. I had a lot of fun building mine, I have always loved making things. Funny how 600 seems like a lot of money for light parts... to build them. But really, these are impressive and worth more then what we are paying to build them. I am very happy you sent me that info, instead of me buying ready made and being disappointed.:passitleft:

Yeah to get comparable lights that were already made would have cost quite a bit more. $600 is enough for me to cover the last 3 areas I would need with quality lights! I am glad you are liking them. I enjoy building things once in a while though I am typically not that great at it. I have been able to make a few projects work out. It is funny I have built more things for growing than for anything else lol. Between a cloner, a scrog set up, a tent and lights, growing has allowed me to build things I can actually put to use.

That’s awesome, I’ve built a lot of different things in my time, from lots and lots of different types of speaker boxes, to tables... desks, etc... but I had a lot of fun building the lights. I love building things that are useful... as a kid I thought one day I would be an inventor... that didn’t happen but I can still be creative. I’m excited for you, getting quality, efficient lighting is always awesome! But I can see how getting that kinda cash together can be difficult.

Yeah I have a lot going on in the next few months so I do not see it happening anytime soon. I think the 315 cmh will get used for a bit before I get to it. I have enough lights hanging around right now that i could really get a couple more small spaces going if I could. I may find someone local to gift my lights to so i can get them up and running. Maybe then have them pheno hunt for me so I can work my way through my seeds

I like how you think, employment with incentives lol.

There ya go, delegate that work so you have more time to pop those seeds!
My Clones are taking forever to get roots, and the ones that do have roots look like hell. I’m really thinking of culling them and popping a seed instead.... they are clones of this Panama and I took the clones about 3 weeks ago. Last time I took clones it was only about a week before most had roots.
There is one where the bottom of the cutting is trying to push out roots. The base keeps swelling, lots of white spots where the roots are trying to devolop. I wonder if I could just go ahead and stick them in some soil? Maybe I’ll just put them all in soil and see if any survive. They are taking so long in my makeshift closer.
Any thoughts?

Ok, so here’s Groot today. She’s still stretching pretty good. I sure don’t like when those low bud sites stretch way up like a few have here. But no biggie, still lots up top, and if she keeps stretching... those lower ones will come off anyway. Here she is, let’s hear whatcha think so far. Getting close to Cat time!

Also, is it weird that some of the branches have alternating nodes and others don’t? It’s the main branches that were spread out the most that have the alternating and all the shoots that came up during trading have the more even ones...

Have you changed out the water at all while the cuts have been in the cloner? Do you know what the water temp is? If the temp gets too hot or too cold the cuts will have a hard time making roots. Anything with roots I would put in soil. Even the ones with white bumps may do better in soil. Also do you have anything in the cloner water to stop anything from growing?
