ACE Killer A5 Haze

Thank you friends. She’s slow going for sure, Saturday will be 7 weeks and she’s just starting to look like she’s going to start stacking.

This is a new setup for me, the 2x2 and the light. I have my doubts that this SF1000 at only 100 watts will be enough but the ppfd chart they put out recently in a 2x2 tent appears sufficient. The main tips are within 9-12” from the light so according to the chart they should be getting sufficient light, further down the plant probably not so much. Still it will be interesting to see how it turns out. I’ve considered adding some side lighting or even throwing another SF1000 in there lol

I think some side lighting in there would really help below even some T5's on two sides below, it would add a little more heat though.

Day 60

I agree, shortly after my last update I disassembled a solsheet I had lying around and fastened the 3500k solstrip X2s to the sides of the support beams in my tent. I bought a wattage meter and adjusted the 120w driver down to 50 watts, also I adjusted the SF1000 up just a hair to 110 watts For a total of 160w now, or 40w/sqft.

About a week ago I gave her a small top dressing of a 2-4-6 granular and started hitting her hard with fish/seaweed as she immediately started eating up her lower leaves as soon as o added the extra lighting, signaling she needed more feed. She’s reported to be a heavy eater.

I’m now seeing a touch of burn so I’m going to back off a bit. Next watering will be straight RO. After that I’m going to switch to bio bizz Bloom at a lighter 2ml/L. She responded well to the extra light and extra feed and has started bulking up accordingly.

Also I should update, her scent has picked up a little and changed as well. Previously she was not throwing out much scent at all but stem rubs where giving off a lemony soda pop effervescence type smell. That has changed to a very distinct pure pine smell... with maybe a hint of eucalyptus. Only on the stem rub though or brushing your hands in direct contact with the flowers. I was assuming the low scent has to be coming from the NL genealogy and now with the profile changing to predominantly pine that supports that opinion, she seems like a very A5 leaning phenotype more so than malawi.:rollit::yummy:

Hi Ozz, no grow journal, old school and me and the computer don't get along together but i do keep a log book of my gtows just to fall back on, just finished a Old Dirty Biker by Karma, and a silver haze by unknown. I grow in two 3x3 tents DWC with one plant in each tent under HLG 550 R specs which really kill it. Also made some RSO last night from the trim which didn't turn out to bad, also have two Peyote Gorillas germinating at the moment for the next round, so that what i've been up to in the growing department. Today i'm going to jump on the bike cruise down the highway to a little crazy cowboy town out west called Sundre to check the conditions on the creeks and rivers for fishing in the future days to come, we have had alot of rain here lately so hoping there starting to clear up, should be a great day. Thanks, have a great day and i will be looking for your next update. :peace:

Awesome, cheers buddy! Here’s to hoping you find those good fishing conditions.

Im stuck at work as always but such is life, about one more year of chaos and hopefully I can then set a slower pace for myself.

As for the 3x3s, I like that idea quite a bit. I have the 550 eco model. New in the box waiting to go into a 3x3, it’s not the Rspec but still should be plenty sufficient for a 3x3 I would think. Do you run them full power or dimmed down? What’s your target distance from light to canopy ??

Yes the 550 eco model is lots in a 3x3, i use the dimmer when there small and up it as they get bigger to full power, distance i really never measure i just go by watching the plant, i would say though around 20" somewhere in there. Well don't work to hard it is Friday, have a good one.

70 days.... 10 weeks on the dot. Been hitting her with light feeds of biobizz at 2ml/liter and she responded almost immediately by fattening up her buds and pushing new white pistils in a light reflowering.

I had to stake her up as I came home the other day and found her laying up against the side of the tent, toppled over from the weight of her own buds :)

WOW, looking good OZZ, they are really starting to put the weight on and still pushing out white pistols. Looks like its going to be a monster, keep up the great work can't wait to see the end product. Take care.

Thanks as always my friend, hope things are well with you also! Yes she’s turning out quite nice, if she follows in some of her sisters footsteps I’ve seen grown elsewhere she should continue to pack it on for the next week or two, then I’ll fade her to finish around week 14/15 :passitleft:

I topped her at the fourth node, and as she grew I spread her out horizontally as much as possible. Then I flipped her to flowering and tied her down as needed. I had to stake her up a few weeks ago as she was tipping over from the weight of the buds :)

Here’s a pic of her when I was training her wide - still in veg

Then a few weeks after flipping her to 12/12

And from there as she stretched taller I just kept tying her down and pinching the main leads
