Aberration Goes Ker Bloom! - Perpetual

So the Grape Kool-Aid (GKA) is being trimmed up now. I took some pictures.

First, a few pre-trim shots of the plant:

I would have liked to let her go longer, but I doubt she was doing much at this point. Dang pH.

Here are the pre-harvest pics of BBX.3F (BigBud x BlueMagoo). She was pretty ravaged too, but the buds look as big as ever and they look better than I have ever seen. It smells like blueberries just sitting in there by itself:

Very, VERY purple indeed!! Love the contrast between the green and purple in those hanging colas!! Beautiful my friend, job well done!!:welldone: +REP

Thanks, and it's nice to see you.

Yeah, three of this set turned very purple this time. And some of the bud looks fantastic. Check the pics below! :D

Sick ass plants man, great job! Where did you order these strains from or are they local?

Hey teSmp! Welcome! Thanks for dropping in and feel free to ask or suggest anytime. Every question is welcome and I don't know everything.

You did kind of drop in at just the right time. ;) Glad you like the results. I really purpled them up this time. At least, on part of the local clone lines.

Grape Kool-Aid, BigBud x BlueMagoo, 'lavender' indica, and the Matanuskan are local clones. So is the Blue Dream. I have good reason to believe that the Matanuskan and the Blue Dream are authentic. Not that I give a whit one way or the other considering what I get from those two plants.

The Cheese, Tangerine Dream, Super Lemon Haze, Arjan's Haze #1, Qleaner and White Widow are all from seed. Mostly Green House. The Qleaner is a Subcool cross and is the only one of these that is not feminized (or in the case of the clones, simply female). In fact I have 2 Qleaner plants and I have not sexed them yet. I've never done that before - I'm waiting for the existing clones to root and in they go. Tangerine Dream should be going back in within the week. Stick around.

And since I'm on a roll, here's the pre-harvest shots of the Cheese. She didn't purple up like the other three. She lost some leaves, but not much, and she was a vivid vibrant green right up to flush really. No complaints at all. There are a lot of good sized nugs and they are hard as rock. If it holds any volume it'll be quite good in that department. It's really starting to smell up the trim area.

Enough with the jabber. On to the pics:

Oops! I forgot these pictures!

These first two are trimmed Cheese:

This is a view of the four plant harvest. Blue hangers for Grape Kool-Aid. Black hangers for BigBud x Blue Magoo. Orange hangers for the 'labender' indica. The Cheese is going on the white hangers, but it's only about 40% done in this pic. I took the shot right over the trimmer's head. The light goes out and the room is nearly dark when the trimming is not being done:

Where can I find Grape kool-aid? WOW! I want to just stare at those buds all day! GREAT JOB!:bravo::peace:

Unfortunately, I have no idea. It's just a clone I got. I can't find any info on it, and I'm convinced it's just some random strain renamed.

Welcome to my journal. Feel free to ask questions or set me straight. I'm pretty relaxed. Very few people speak up. :)

:peace:

delicious harvest man you got a nice haul on that.. Can't wait for the final numbers, the yield looks huge!

Holy crap Abe! Just looks so nice! :thumb:
I wished when I opeded my closet that it looked like yours :)

Very Nice Haul

:peace:

Beautiful harvest, those colors are unlike any i've seen. :bravo:

teSmp I feel you on the paranoia. Sometimes heavy indicas make me feel paranoid even when I try to fight it. I think smoking a Sativa or Sativa Dom. during the day and an indica at night is the way to go! The Sativa keeps me alert while opening my creative side, while the indicas put me down for the count. Some indicas are just too strong for me during the day because they leave me feeling tired and groggy.

Fuck man I want some purp that looks like that! I dont even smoke I just love growing and I'm helping out my mom. For some reason I always get paranoid and thats really unlike me it's the only thing that does it to me. I was hoping it would taper off and I would enjoy it but nope :/

That usually fades with time and tolerance, but if you rarely get high you may not get past it. Not that I necessarily are advising you to even smoke pot, let alone a lot. If you don't want to that's perfectly fine in my view. My wife doesn't because she gets vertigo bad. Not only do I endorse living life out loud, I also think you should sing your own song. :Namaste:

It is bigger than I thought it was going to be, that's for sure. I can't wait to taste the GKA and CH. :lot-o-toke:

Hehe. That's actually a bar hung in the old bloom room by 2 of the chains that used to hold up lights. A larger room is actually more controllable IMO. Drying in there is a breeze. I just leave the lights off and let the dehumidifier maintain 60-65% rh.

Thanks. It looks good lined up on the bar like that. :D

Beautiful harvest, those colors are unlike any i've seen. :bravo:

The color surprised me too. I know that purple coloration rarely indicates anything but stress, but it sure makes the bud appealing, doesn't it? Nice to see you again. :thanks:

I gave away CH.1C last night.

I haven't put any plants in bloom to replace what I just harvested. I need to get on it. I'm not on a timetable really, so it's OK if I don't get around to it until this weekend, but I'd rather get it done sooner. They need to be selected, transplanted and treated for bugs, just in case. But tonight I was lucky to get through the feed. My aches are upon me and I need to medicate and feel fine again now.

:tokin:

I'll be good in a minute.

Hey there Abe everything is looking good as usual :thumb:

I have a questions for you. I have asked in my journal, but no responses yet, so....
I thought I would ask you.
Have you ever transplanted any of your flowering plants 4 to 5 weeks into flower cycle? if so how did it go and why did you do it?
I am asking becasue I have had to start watering and feeding a couple of my flowering girls like every other day or 3 at the most. I think they are rootbound, but I don't want to harm them if transplanting will cause anything negative.

Thanks in advance and :peace:

I have never transplanted after I started bloom. I'm used to mine needing to be fed every other day, so that sounds normal to me. 🤷 I would expect it would delay them a week at best.

About half of the Grape Kool-Aid was dry enough to come off the stems. It looks like I might get about 8 oz out of her, but half of that is fluffy. I definitely need less of a bush this next time. I'll tell you what she tastes like in a day or so.

Edit: I forgot. The smell. When you get a strain named Grape Kool-Aid you automatically assume it'll maybe be purple and that's where the name came from. In this case, it came out purple all right. But every once in a while I get a sharp sugary grape Kool-Aid powder smell. It's pretty obvious why 'they' named it that now. It's insane.

:thanks: for the reply. I don't think I am going to trans them. I will just continue to feed and water them as needed. I will remember this for next time though and put them in my 8gal containers instead of the 4gal they are in now.

That is a nice weight for a first time strain! :thumb: I sure hope it meets your expectations. I love that smell!

Have a great weekend and :peace:
