I know I've been failing at photos lately. I need to get on it. Tonight, all I have is this:

Roots on the clones! On the left back there is a G13xGodBud root, two rows to the right in center is a tiny Purple Sage root, and the next row to the right has two obviously rooted Lavenders. All 18 were in by 17 days ago. My cloning isn't fast, but it's easy. They all still look healthy. I'll get to them soon.

Lastly, I have been reminded lately of seeds, and I might have the money to buy some. I was thinking I might include one of the indica mixes from Green House on Attitude. Does anybody want to make a recommendation? Feel free. Most of them look fine to me. I'm also leaning toward Jack Herer, Super Lemon Haze, and NL#5. Eventually I'll be sampling sativas too. I'm not afraid to let one go 14 weeks if needed.

It all depends on the money situation. I don't sell, but my wife and I have decent jobs - so we're not too poor. We should know soon if we can do it in the near future. My fingers have started crossing in my sleep. ;)

I also need to come up with a safe delivery location for seeds. Not my house. I'm going to ask my friend what he uses. What do y'all do?

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I have mentioned previously that I was expecting to be dropping the Matanuskan T. when I reduce the number of strains I'm maintaining.

Thing is, I keep forgetting how potent it is. I was just sitting here smoking a doobie of it. I always forget how devastating the stone is and how quickly it happens. Less than a half joint.

It tends to get over-dry so easily. And even if you get it right it dries in a sealed mason jar all too quickly. Quicker than all the other strains I have stored. It's a pain to trim. It's not particularly tasty or even much to look at. It's a messy-looking plant.

But it gets me so high.

I'm going to tackle the other half while I feed the plants. Wish me luck...

That's a last meal for both CryLo.1A and G13xGB.1DD. The G13 is right on track, if a bit bud-light. She'll do I think, but she needed to be bigger. That will be handled this next time. CryLo is at 67 days already. She's milky but not very amber. I think she'll be fine in ten days. They can both come out together I think.

The Lavs are rocketing along as they do, buds forming up all over. Can you believe I'll be cutting them down before the end of the month? If I wait too long the high will be too 'sleepy'.

Even the BDs are doing well. In the 10 days they have been in bloom, BD.2A has gone from 23" to 33" and BD.2B has grown from 27" to 39", yet they both have pretty good (read 'short') internodal length.

I am so super busy right now, and I do apologize to everyone for being so terse and textual. I have a huge amount of free time on Monday. I will get pics posted.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

Yeah we all get busy Aberration so we totally understand. You put a lot into your journal and it is appreciated.

I wish I could make a recommendation on a strain but I haven't grown those yet. I would personally go for the Super Lemon Haze; I tend to like Sativas. Whatevey you select, you will do well with your high level of observational skills.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

I gave away a bunch of small veg:

PS.2B, PS.2C
G13xGB.2B, G13xGB.2C
BD.2B, BD.2C
L3.1B, L3.1C
CryLo.2A
KK2.2A, KK2.2B
MT3.1A

That leaves 8 in small veg and 3 in large veg.

I'm hoping that I can get the remaining Matanuskan T. small veg plants grown large enough to go into bloom in the next three weeks, but I doubt it's going to happen that fast. I have arranged to get 2 larger MTs from a friend, as a backup... that I will likely use.

It looks like CryLo.1A will indeed be ready when G13xGB.1DD is, so they will get plucked together as planned.

L2 looks great. L3 is still very yellowed out. So L2 has had her last food and will start flush in two days. L3 will get at least another week of food before flush I think. She should do well on the recipe she is on. She was quite set back by the yellowing and I think at least one week extra is needed.

The BDs are great. You should see them.

Which brings up another point. My next realistic opportunity to take and post pics is tomorrow evening, so I will try hard to get that job done for y'all. I see from the counter that lots of people read my journal even if few post, so I do feel some obligation to make it worth everyone's while. I feel bad for not posting pics in so long.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

By the way, does anyone have experience with thinning the larger older fan leaves on a plant that likes to shade itself out? I have tried tucking them, but the girls keep popping them loose right away. I have to re-do it all every time I come out here. I'm looking for experiences with actually removing the older leaves just enough to get better light in there. L2 is freaking full of shaded bud.

I need to transplant tomorrow, badly. Everything in VEG needs it ASAP, including the clones, which are rooted.

There was something else, but I'm loaded and I have poor memory at the best of times. 🤷

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

It is 2 teaspoons of the Organic Supplement from Harvest Moon Organics. I know you are local, so get it at Constant Gardener - it's probably the only place you can buy it. It has kelp extract organic acids, worm castings, complex carbs, steamed bone meal, soybean meal, feather meal, yeast and yucca extract as well as NPK at 1-5-1 and vitamin B1.

Pictures!!!

Here is veg before the recent transplants:

Here is my "high-tech" scheduling system:

Here is CryLo.1A. She looks dead, but it's because she's yellow and purple. 🤷 Her trichs are good and cloudy but not amber much. She has to come out pronto anyways:

I spent $12 on some cheap diopter 'filters' for my camera. I use the 10 to get some of these pictures. I did them all freehand (no tripod) so they are a bit off. Also, diopter lenses only let you focus from a closer distance. They don't really magnify - they just give the illusion. And they have a super thin depth of field, as you can see. I'm still figuring out what to do with them:

Here is L2. She is great. She should come out in a week or so.

This is supposed to let you see how she is filled out despite having 'parisol syndrome' where she shades herself out mercilessly:

More diopter shots:

L3 is recovering. She looks greener overall and I think is just set back a week or two:

Here is BD.1B. Both the Blue Dreams are looking great for being 18/70 days:

Here is G13xGB.1DD. She's ready to come out as soon as I can manage as well. This plant is so easy to grow and produces a nice heavy stone. I like it:

G13xGB.1DD and CryLo.1A will have to wait at least until tomorrow. The trimmers aren't ready tonight and they can go another day.

L3 is still greening. She used to have very yellow large leaves, but a lot of them now have green veins and a speckling and bunching of green in between. Mobility rules.

L2 is flushing of course.

BD.2A & BD.2B are sizing up nicely. 2B is about 45" tall already (by yardstick and finger). 2A is right behind her.

Veg has changed shape. KK may kill herself off by not rooting. I have a huge G13xGB in here and it's water-crazy in a 10 gallon pot already.

Re: Aberration Goes ker Bloom! - 2009

G13xGB.1DD and CryLo.1A went to the trimmers last night. We should know whether the CryLo is worth keeping soon. I intend to test it freshly dried and then cured for a month. I want to give it a fair shake.

Hopefully I will have time to put the replacements in tonight. I have the two G13xGBs, but the big one will need to be staked and tied immediately, and I don't know if I'll find time to do that tonight. I have a full feed to do and that usually takes about 2 hours, so time will be short.

It's also cloning time. I wish I could retire my day job and do this full time.
