Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

Its funny I've been growing for years and never thought of using a syringe, but as of this moment I will be. I am litterly going to my hydro storte right now to go get that and a few other things. + rep

I should say that for precision with the smaller doses (5ml or less) I use a regular 3ml medical syringe, with the tip of the needle cut off for safety. (Obviously I have a small reservoir...)

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

I use one of these 60ml syringes from my hydro store, with a piece of left over PVC hose from my airstone install:

Just cut the hose long enough to reach the bottom of your nute bottles.

Funny how stoners think alike! I just picked up two of the 20cc/ml syriges and a couple feet of 1/4" tubing to reach the bottom of the bottles.
Mess free, no waste, and accurate measuring! Simple yet effective!

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

I picked up four syringes a few weeks ago because I am always loosing stuff. Honestly right now I can only find one. And I only use them in three areas. I bought one for each area and a back up one. Never thought to add a piece of tubing. If it didn't fit in the jug I just used one of the measuring cups they always give you at the hydro store. And yes I am down to one of those too, even though I always get a new one when I buy nutrients.

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

Yeah trust me there was alot I missed. I wasnt to sure how this poll owuld go. The results have been way beyond my expectations. But thank god for the misc. Section. I've thought about going through the whole journal and taking note of what everyone has put down and maybe seeing if After I gat the result, I can add some to the poll. With the results of what has been posted, but still leaving the poll open for future voters. Sound to complicted or naw?

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

I mix Jamacian Bat Guano1-10-.02 into my soil when the clones go to 1 gallon containers and then when they go to their final containers.

I use:

Vegging:

Fox Farm Big bloom 1/2 strength every watering-worm castings, kelp etc.

Alaska Fish fert 6-1-1 for veg.

Flowering:

Continue the Fox Farm Big bloom with a little steeped bat guano.

I use FF Tiger Bloom 2-8-4-half strength.

It's pretty much all organic. The Tiger bloom is fortified a bit but it doesn't seem to bother the smoke any.....it burns to white ash. I love it.

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

greetings:rollit:

I was stuck on eco to 15 years, tried gh and loved the auto ph thing ! and then:

then talked to a few breeders and got the skinny.

I use Advanced Nutrients Dutch Master Gold Series, with zone, silica, add,.

It is phenomenal, as stated. use a meter, but ph is spot on, always. nothing else added, ever. Really worth every penny, in my opinion.

check it out..

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

A good flush is a must, no matter what nutes one might use. Most people get antsy and harvest before the plants are fully flushed. Proper flushing will make for a clean taste and a clean burn with little ash...

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

A great transition is underway in my garden. I've moved from the basic Fox Farm trio w/ humic and molasses to the new General Organics nutrient line.

So far I've only begun too feed it to my Mother plant and she has responed positvely.
The mixing formula is one of the easiest.
For grow it's 10ml of BioThrive Grow and 2.5 ml of BioWeed per gallon.
For bloom it's 10ml of BioThrive Bloom and 2.5 ml of Bio Bud

I plan to use the supplement Bio Marine in between feedings along with the additions of Medina's Horticulture Molasses and Earth Juice Humic Acid.

No PH adjustment is needed with any of these nutes. It is also recommended to use what I mix right away rather than making a batch of fertilzer and let it sit around and become toxic.

Working with this line is interesting. They are not the sludge type of organics but they are thick and can stain. The bottle makes it somewhat difficult to pour out in a clean manner so today I'm heading to my supply house for some large syringes to draw the nutes from the bottle rather than pour them.

They each have a nice earthy smell. The Bio Thrive Grow actually smells like worsteshire sauce.

I must say that I'm very excited for this transition. I've always enjoyed organic gardening but the stinky sludges have kept me away until now. I doubt I can officialy consider my garden organic because of my aeroponic cloning technique but it's a step in a more eco friendly direction for me and my plants.

Retail pricing for this line is $16 per bottle except for the Bio Bud which is $37 per bottle. Using only 10ml and 2.5 ml mixtures should make these bottles go a long way.

1 week and two feedings of the GO line to my Mother I'm starting to feel like this was one of the best decisions I've made for my garden. My test plant is growing with more vigor and is putting on 2 inches of growth in all directions every other day.

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

Anyone with any questions about AN products or selecting the right AN products for your type of grow feel free to hit me up. I am a lil new to this forum but have years of exp with AN and love the products. Also just call AN tech support if you have questions or concerns ask for Terri for product questions and ask for Roy for plant questions and concerns the guy loves his job and will do anything to help you figure out whats going on in your garden. I will be keeping up with this forum since I seem to like the people on it and so feel free to shoot me any questions about AN. This thread seemed like a good place to offer my exp. thanks :rollit:

WtF?!? I guess my browser's go a Trojan in it. I was sitting here trying to decide if this thread has enough posts (it's at seven pages (275 posts) now) for me to go back and reread the entire thing to figure out some future nutrient options when <POOF!> the page changed to Thrifty Car Rental.

Time to scrub, wipe, and reinstall.

Re: A poll to see what kind of nutes are prefered.

Tortured - I had the exact same thing happen a few weeks ago and couldn't find anything with virus or adware scanners... Had me stumped for a few days, but turned out to be some app that got installed with something else I was actually installing... Turned out to be a program called "Loud Mo Contextual Ad Assistant". I simply uninstalled it from the control panel and voila! Mysterious redirects stopped instantly!

First off Welcome to the fams. I'm glad you made the choice to come here. A.N has gottin a bad wrap for its customer service latelt, for this reason I'm am extra happy that you said what you said. From a person who has done customer service for years, I hate seeing companies get bad service reviews. I'm sure you'll get plenty of messages about using A.N. So once again I say Welcome and thank you for posting! :ganjamon:

It's really my fault. I ordinarily use linux and stay the <BLEEP> out of MS Windows like everyone with a pulse should, but the GF was here playing and when I went to surf it was already sitting in the desktop (doing nothing... but with high levels of disk activity and elevated CPU temps as per Windows norm. Fook You, Bad Billy Gates) so I just used that OS. That'll teach me.

Uh, my apologies The Butcher, for interrupting a fine thread. It has been an interesting read for me.
