A great transition is underway in my garden. I've moved from the basic Fox Farm trio w/ humic and molasses to the new General Organics nutrient line.
So far I've only begun too feed it to my Mother plant and she has responed positvely.
The mixing formula is one of the easiest.
For grow it's 10ml of BioThrive Grow and 2.5 ml of BioWeed per gallon.
For bloom it's 10ml of BioThrive Bloom and 2.5 ml of Bio Bud
I plan to use the supplement Bio Marine in between feedings along with the additions of Medina's Horticulture Molasses and Earth Juice Humic Acid.
No PH adjustment is needed with any of these nutes. It is also recommended to use what I mix right away rather than making a batch of fertilzer and let it sit around and become toxic.
Working with this line is interesting. They are not the sludge type of organics but they are thick and can stain. The bottle makes it somewhat difficult to pour out in a clean manner so today I'm heading to my supply house for some large syringes to draw the nutes from the bottle rather than pour them.
They each have a nice earthy smell. The Bio Thrive Grow actually smells like worsteshire sauce.
I must say that I'm very excited for this transition. I've always enjoyed organic gardening but the stinky sludges have kept me away until now. I doubt I can officialy consider my garden organic because of my aeroponic cloning technique but it's a step in a more eco friendly direction for me and my plants.
Retail pricing for this line is $16 per bottle except for the Bio Bud which is $37 per bottle. Using only 10ml and 2.5 ml mixtures should make these bottles go a long way.
