Awesome!! Mine are just weee ones:) This gives me inspiration!! Oh and welcome! Sorry I’m so late, I was away for Canada day weekend, camping! I will have to get some recipes from you:)

I just did a fair bit of gardening the last couple of days. I did some of my final transplants for my peppers and tomatoes, flowers and pumpkins. I put up more twine for my out of control peas and added a few more trellis’ for my zucchini, cucumbers and cucumelons. I took a few pics of how things are coming along! It’s a busy back yard oasis:)

Not chiles, but I just harvested these bulbs this week & they go with chiles as well as coffee goes with weed.

I'm pretty happy with these, some are almost fist sized!

Peppers are fruiting profusely, but I’m leaving ‘em for now, hoping that the extra time will give ‘em some more kick.

Grow on!

Wow nice garlic. What's the grow time on those?
Thanks!

In by Sept-Oct, usually ready for harvest July-ish, depending on the usual gardening variables.

Here is my jungle lol

I planted a bunch of garlic in the fall and only one came up. I pulled it too soon:/

Next year I’ll wait to pull it, I’ve heard it flowers then it’s ready, is that true?
Sometimes they flower, sometimes not (when they do, though, the spear buds are excellent eating & fetch a premium at farmer's markets here).

I've found the most reliable indicator of garlic harvest timing is when the lower 4-5 leaves shrivel & the stalk begins to lean over. But you also don't want to leave them in too long...they start to reveg.

Lotsa info on the web on garlic growing & as with weed, some of it is correct & helpful. Easy plant to grow.

It's got one thing in common w/ weed: for the best results, it should be dried & cured (about 2 weeks) before being consumed.

Helluva garden @scrogster More like a farm! Fantastic work!

Nothing wrong with old garlic as seed, per se. But for the best results, choose carefully: pick the largest cloves from garlic that you really like for seed. The plant's essentially a clone, so other factors remaining equal, seed stock cloves make a big difference.

I'm so happy with these that once they're cured, I'm going to pick out some cloves to plant this fall.
