re: GLH 600W LED Grow

I agree with irish. When I set up my grow room with the LEDs I installed a 6" ~500CFM fan to bring fresh air into the space. Now that I am cutting over to the HID bulb I will add another fan and ducting just for the light. I still want to cycle fresh air into the room with a old fan and ducting that was there for the LED grow.

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

if anyone worried about vent fan noise, their are quite vent fans out their. Get a S&P vent fan, i love mine it is so quite and uses next to no power compared to my old vent fan. bad ass fans.

I was wondering how that S&P fan worked out for you.

Glad you love it as much as I love mine!

I was worried that hooking them up to carbon filters would slow them down too much, but it didn't slow them down much at all.

Soler & Palau FTW!

its funny how something so simple as a little LST can give you so many nice tops. you can get great results by just bending the main steam just one time. this is how me and my friends do it and always get great results. seems the XJ-13 love the LST more then the HS. you should see some out door plants done this way.lol.

i love it bro. thats all i am buying now on. about to order me the 6" one in a few days. the prices are more then fair on them, plus the use the lease power out of all the other fans.

Hey Irish what type of S&P fan do you have? They have bathroom exhaust fans, range hood exhaust fans, and dryer booster fans?

I really need to upgrade my intake fan but need something real real silent and super efficient.

i use the TD-100x for my intake air. its like 135CFM and uses 30 watts or so. i think the best one is the TD-125. but it uses a 5" vent hose.

re: GLH 600W LED Grow

Ok, I tried to to think up other ways to exchange the air at least 3 times per minute without an inline fan, and most of them involve keeping the door open all the time, which generally isn't an option due to light schedule issues.

I might be missing something though.

That air exchange needs to be 24/24 in order for plants to really thrive.

so does that mean I should be leaving my exhaust on 24 hrs a day...... woops lol I only use it for lights on

Slimm,
How do you control the smell if you use a seperate fan and duct for the light. I would think that air needs filtering also. How could i rig that ?? Thanks !!:bong:

he has one fan brining in fresh air from out side like me and another fan hooked up to his light exhausting it out, i would think? both fans brobley arnt hooked to his light only 1 the exhaust fan

Right, I have a separate line coming in and out for the light so most of its heat goes straight out of the room. The air that runs through the light never mixes with the air in the room so there is nothing to filter there. The filter sits on the line that is exhausting grow room air.
