600W LED Grow

he irish looks good so far
do you see a difference with the 600 compared to the 126 and the 180 yet?
also about the s&p fans when you say they are quiet what would you compare the noise to? cuz i need to find quiet like intake and exhaust fans for my set up.

its really hard to compare them to my old ones because these ones are all LSTed and are growing very different.

the S&P fans are the most quite vent fans i have heard. sure allot quieter then my old one. i just bought another one today. got a bigger six inch one. going to hook it up as a big exhaust fan to filter the air in the room real quick. its going to be sweet with my intake brining in fresh air from outside, ten suck it all out, should be a nice draft.

Thanks for the mention of the S&P fans, much cheaper than the units my hydro shop carries. And they are available locally.

Most hydro shops have a fit if you mention any fans other than Ruck or RVK! However, I too have found the S&P units to be quieter and shift more air than either of those 2 brands. I will only buy S&P from now on.

They also have a smaller form factor, which is a nice plus if you are growing in a tent. Gotta love those Germans and their lust for quality!

My friend bought this gel at the hydro strore, it works great! Open the lid and leave the bottle in the room.

His exhaust fan cycles off and on about 50/50% of the time, it pulles in cold filter night air then shuts off if his ladies get too cold. Of course he has a fan over his plants too.

You going to leave them in that 2x2 positioning Irish, or are you going to spread them out accordingly as they grow? I would think a lineal format would work best since that light is long and narrow?

The growth looks excellent eh? For only two weeks so far...I think that's kickin' ass!

i leave them in 2 rows like they are right now, just spread them out as they grow. the light is 26" or so above the top of the plants. if i didnt LST them they would be pretty tall right now.

Not to mention half the cost.

150 Canadian taxes in, with a freebie speed control thrown in for the DT100x.

sorry i cant, i never ran a 600w hps in this same room. before all my room were much larger and it made it easier to deal with the heat.

I think what it all boils down to so far... Is theres a Place for these LED units and there still a place for the HID`s always will be I wd. think...

Each to their Own ( many Factors to consider when growing either way , Quality, Amounts , Heat, Venting, Oh My list goes on and on and on and on...)

But if its just the Comparison to Hids one sure will be better than the other, BUT not with all the factors taken into consideration one to the other, Hard to explain all together really, as I say each to their own reason to use one over the other.. LoL
