600 Watt HPS - Easy Happy Soil Grow - Easy Does It Cloning & Veg

Maine passed rec laws. A step in the right direction.?

For guys like me I think this is good. When all the pot shops start selling thirty a gram. I will still be here with all the people that were here, while the dispensaries have been getting twenty five an eighth, they still pay thirty. Happily.
Better weed still, even though I have been indoors since June.

Things have definitely changed for the better.

Anyone know what this looks like. Auto Destroyer Day 55 or 6. Botttom fan leaves. Upper leaves are paling but not to an alarming degree.

To me it just looks like she has used up all of the nitrogen and the leaves are starting to die off. Have you slowed down the nitrogen intake? On our autos we stop the "veg nutes" about halfway through bloom and get the leaf fade with about 2 weeks left. It's nothing to be alarmed about.

Okay. Yeah I thought this could be the case. I am not used to the rapid changing that autos go through. I am two weeks out on a timely harvest according to description given. I fell like it's closer to three or maybe even a little longer. I am hoping to go three or more. I pollinated again a week ago. I did not pollinate top cola and next two down.
I will stop veg nutes all together after next feeding. Maybe. She is making seeds and I dont care about the smoke I think. She is a voracious feeder. I water her almost everyday.

Cool thanks Nismo. I appreciate the experience and input bro.

Chocolate Chip Pounders:

I recently made a batch of butter from a pound of trim and leaves and a pound of butter. Overkill I know but I recommend doing something like this if you wanna have some fun.
Butter was placed in a crock pot with an elbow of dried trim and leaves with 2 cups of water for 9 hours set on low. After straining and cooling to separate water I made a half peanut butter sandy and w/a tbsp of butter and two hours later I was feeling the pound come on hard.

Cookies are as follows

Ingredients

3/4 cup Canna Butter

3/4
Cup sugar

3/4
Cup Brown sugar

1
tbs vanilla

2
eggs

2
cups Flour

1
tsp baking soda

1
teaspoon salt

2
cups chocolate or caramel or peanut butter chips

1
cup raisans

1
cup walnuts

You can use any nut you want but I notice that walnuts mellow out the veggy canna flavor and makes it a lot tastier
Obviously raisans and chips are optional
But i like my cookies to taste good so I use chocolate or caramel.

Directions

1 Heat oven to 350ºF. Mix butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs in large bowl using spoon.
Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.

2 I make 16 huge cookies outta this

3 Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack; cool.

To say they are strong is a serious understatement. Cosmic pounders I shoulda called these babies. Have a great day y'all. i have photos to upload but wanted to say high and share a recipe, from my family to yours.

Enjoy

Ps I did put another half lb of butter in with the veg material I already cooked and simmered it for another six hours. I have been doing this with anything more than eight zips. I get two butters because I think the butter doesn't hve the fat content to absorb all the THC. This is the most I have cooked at once and I imagine I maybe coulda gotten anothe 1/4 lb or so butter but, alas I ran out.

Hi Jacobsenji,

I tried to pm you but can't yet (need 50 posts). I live in the Rockland area. I haven't been to Moosehead since I was a kid. Beautiful and BIG up there!!

Glad the rec law passed ( still doing a recount). I do wonder how they'll interpret laws for rec use. Will be interesting.

You seem pretty busy with growing and cooking. I like your energy level! Happy Growing!

"How To Reverse Sex Using Silver Thiosulfate Solution
The following is a safe, inexpensive, and successful method for reversing the sex of female cannabis plants. Individual plant responses may vary based upon strain, but I can verify that this process is fully effective in stimulating profuse staminate flower production..."

Interesting reading. The use of chemical processes to alter the sex of plants is a very fascinating discipline...I remember using a solution of Colchicine to treat some seeds and some rooting clones, back in the day. It's rather dangerous stuff, it produced a couple plants that were freaks, much bigger and definitely more potent than the rest, but mostly it killed everything, including, somehow, the cat. :-(

I have never tried Colloidal silver to change the sex of a plant, however, if you want to produce some feminized seeds there's a much easier way.

I have done this twice and it worked great both times. About 2 weeks after the flip to 12/12, when floral clusters are just beginning to appear everywhere, take a small black plastic bag (COMPLETELY opaque...I always doubled it to make absolutely sure) and put it over about a foot of the end of one nice healthy branch. I put a small electric light in there, taped to the inside of the bag, the kind you put in a pumpkin instead of a candle. These lights have a little switch you can feel and operate easily through the plastic bag, to turn it on and off without having to open the bag. Then tape the bag around the stem carefully so no light can escape. For the next 10 days you just randomly enter the grow room during the dark period and switch on the little light inside the bag, for about 30 minutes, I do it every other night. This works just the same as a growroom light leak and results in a few male flowers appearing on that branch. Obviously it's tricky to go in your grow room during the dark period without screwing up the entire grow, you have to prepare things so that is possible. I use a low-power green light bulb to give me just enough light to see my way in the grow room without triggering a hormonal change in the sensitive plants.

What helps is you can monitor the development of the induced "male" flowers pretty easily because there's only one specific branch where they are growing, and both times I was able to collect them all right before they popped so there was no general release of pollen in the room, rather, I was then able to bag a couple other branches the same way, and throw in some of the ripe male flowers before sealing. Just occasional shaking of the bagged branch was sufficient to pollinate plenty of buds and a nice crop of feminized seeds eventually resulted.

The best thing about this method is you can selectively create boutique seeds in decent quantity, while still allowing 95% of you grow to develop seed-free. It was several decades ago I last did this but I recall selling a vial of those seeds for a HELL of a lot more than the buds! Even then, people appreciated the wonder of knowing all your little seedlings will be girls. I frankly don't know how anyone can grow plants to maturity then have to kill half of them ever again now that there are so many feminized seeds out there. Anyway, that's how we made a bunch of our own without taking the chemical route.

Your plants look good so far. Keep it up!

Peace, Hyena

Heya Mainiac,
i have a pdf of the actual initiative if you want it. Yeah I am busy with alla that and more. I have been taking it easy here lately. I expect to pick up again shortly when I have the DDD auto grow next month.

Thanks for stopping in and hit me up later.

Heya Hyena Merica,

I will have to get back to you on this. i have no reason to doubt what you have stated and plan to research this a little further, or if I know me, I will research it by just diving in head first and jis doing it like you did. I may have questions at a later time but rest assured that this little gem has it's place here in this garden at least once. I don't know how you found me here but I am grateful you did and stop by again sometime. Things will be a little diff next month and I hope to keep a better type of journal then as well.

Al I know is it worked fine both times I did it. I have been told by one guy he did it the same way but it didn't work. I think when you initiate it is a key factor. He did it too late to pollinate and grow fully mature seeds once the male flowers formed so I think apply the technique no later than 2-3 weeks into flowering at the latest.

The original person who told me about this method said he had just one flower pop inside the bag and simply squeezing the bag a little while pulling it off apparently flooded the grow room with pollen. He even thoroughly cleaned the room before the next grow and months later his next girls got knocked up too. I guess pollen is tricky shit with a lot of consequences depending on your goals. Be careful if you try it, you could easily blow the grow. I was very careful to identify and pick the male flowers, and transfer them into a sealed vial before they burst and that saved me from the same fate.

I sometimes refer to my techniques as Hillbilly High-gronomy. It's a hybrid: Real Science x Being Stoned. :)

Peace, Hyena

Hyena,
That's some interesting reading & I'm 9 days into 12/12 and want to try it . Would a paper bag work, like the size for bottle of booze ? And do I have to open the bag & inspect, during the 10 days ? or just wait 10 days & then cut the branch off ? If I have to open that bag, then I'd be afraid of pollinating whole crop ? I'm thinking just take the branch by gently cutting it off and wait for next crop to pollinate ?? My mind is already looking for a light proof bag .
If indeed this works, I for one will be forever grateful to you !! This could be sticky status !!

I am not sure that a paper bag would get the same results. Ambient light. Maybe ?

Today after five we should have a determination on a recount here in Maine about rec legalization. I have mixed emotions about this. I don't want any tax or levy on it. But in order to legalize we have to. I want it to be legal. I won't have to hide anymore. Not that I want to broadcast to the hilltops about me growing. This is no way to keep living either. In and out of a secret room all the time. Smells, waste, people inadvertently finding out and telling someone who cares enough to interrupt our lives, ect.......

I also have to think about my income. Disability and never paying into the system hinder me gainfully and legally. Having a record twenty years old doesn't help either. I ain't complaining I am just venting my frustrations. My life as it is right this moment is great and I expect things to be much better as time moves on with me in it's currents and eddies.

Good day to all
