420 Magazine's Official Girl Scout Cookies Comparative Grow By BooWho2

Awesome recovery on those two older ones. Wow! I drowned one of mine recently. Not a good feeling. I wasn't sure what to do or what was wrong. Had I known, I should have done what you did and put it into a fresh cup with new soil. Live and learn.

Thanks Baked ARea. I figured what the hell and it worked out. I‘m glad I trusted my instincts….need to do that more often! And now I have FOUR more plants! oof!

Hi all! :ciao: Welcome to the weekend! :yahoo:.
My little Girl Scout Cookie survivors (#1 & #2) got new pots today. I had prepped a 1 gallon pot for each of them but when I went to transplant the pots looked so small....so I put them in 2 gallon pots.:cheesygrinsmiley:. Their roots were crazy long and I had a little trouble getting them out of the solo cups, but they did okay. I hadn't numbered them at this point so I'm not sure which of these pics is #1 or #2 so just use your imagination. :laughtwo:

I went ahead and fed them 2g /gal MC along with 3 g/gal silica since that newish growth is a little lighter green than I’d like. Here's a family shot with all 4.

Hope everyone has a nice Friday and an even nicer weekend! :peace:

Happy Friday all! :ciao:. Things are moving along with the GSC girls.
These first two are 35 days old and doing well. They finally drained their 2 gal pots and will be getting fed with their first dose of SNS 209 that @Sierra Natural Science graciously provided to us for this grow. Spring has burst upon us here and there are bugs everywhere.... I'm really hoping that being proactive using this product will help to protect the plants inside and outside throughout the summer. Here are some pics:

GSC #3 - 14 days old. She is filling the cup with roots and will be transplanted hopefully this weekend.

GSC #4 - 12 days old.

All four are sitting under the beautiful Mars Hydro SP 3000 that @Mars Hydro was generous enough to provide me for a sponsored journal. It’s a very sleek and good looking light, it’s quiet, and so far there have been no issues with temperature. :thumb:

That's all for now. Have a nice day. :peace:

Looking healthy! I’ve been using the SNS-209 every watering - doesn’t seem to have any effect the young plants.

Thanks for the welcome :ciao:

I was watching a YouTube channel where a grower/hydroponic shop owner said he loves SNS-209. That it makes the plant/roots less palatable to the bad bugs. I see some gnats in my open indoor grow areas. So am using it proactively :yummy:

:ciao: Hi all. Quick Monday update on the GSCs. Just gonna show #s 1-3 since #4 is small still. All of them are in 2 gal pots now. They are starting to hit their stride now.

GSC #1 - 38 days old, almost 9 inches tall. She's got great color now and her upper fans are the size of my hand!

GSC #2 - 38 days old and about 6.5 inches tall. Her node spacing is a little tighter than GSC #1, but her fans are as big! I think I need to top these girls soon and am open to suggestions. I've seen some people take off the first node and I think I'll try that since I've noticed in my auto grows that the second node seems to reach higher and produce more. Maybe I'm just imbibing too much? :cheesygrinsmiley:

GSC #3 - 17 days old. About 5.5 inches tall. She's catching up with #2 in height and looks like she'll have the node spacing like #1. I bumped the Mars Hydro SP3000 up to 75% so they are sitting between 30 and 35k lux. Thanks for looking and please offer suggestions in topping! My plan is to grow ONE of these plants in my 2x4 tent and move the other 3 outside. :peace:

Thanks Shed! Good info to know about topping inside/outside plants. What approximately would you guess the stretch in flower for a fem photo would be? Roger on the rectangle shape, that’s my plan but I’m still trying to figure that out. Top and train, top and supercrop, don’t top and supercrop, etc. I’m also deliberating on which one to choose. I’m kinda in love with #2 - she’s a little squat and her nodes are tighter than the other three. But I’m not really sure which one I should choose based on their differences. :hmmmm:

This will give you space in the middle of the front and back to supercrop into when those start to outgrow the more-spread
 that was exactly the "aha" moment I needed! :thanks: So, having figured that out, it seems to me that #2 is demonstrating a wide stature and so I'm inclined to pick her for the tent...but I'm not experienced enough to know whether I should go with a taller or a stouter one! :cheesygrinsmiley:. But I do feel like I need to start topping and training.
