420 Magazine Sponsored Grow Extravaganza Featuring NextLight Mega, GeoFlora Nutes & More!

QUICK UPDATE

Sorry I'm overdue for an update. :sorry:

Things are a little crazy with work and my fridge just died so I've been slammed dealing with it all but will have some pics up in the next 48 hours.

All the girls are doing good though the Dark Ghost Train is now looking like she needs some Magnesium, so I've been treating her for that.

I'm going to try to up-pot them to their final homes this weekend.

Happy Harvests!

Magnesium should be easy to treat, looking forward to some pics.
Yeah, it should be. I had given her a couple of light epsom foliars but they didn't seem to help so just gave her a little Cal-Mag added to her water, yesterday. She's still got a lot of veg time to go, so I'm sure we can get it worked out. :dude-knocking:

Hmmmmm... Looking at GeoFlora as a possible organic replacement for my chemical fertilizer I find it a little concerning that you are needing to add supplements to treat a magnesium deficiency. Whenever I have a deficiency with my chemical fertilizer because it apparently has everything the plant needs usually the advice is to increase the dosage so I am wondering why you are adding calmag instead of increasing the dosage of GeoFlora because doesn't it contain everything the plant needs supposedly?

The plants just got their first dose of GeoFlora last week and it does have Magnesium but it also takes some time for the GeoFlora nutes to break down and I wanted to give them some Mag in a form that was immediately available. All the plants are also still in 6" containers and getting quite rootbound so they've likely exhausted most of the original nutes in the soil for those small containers. Finally, if I only want to increase Magnesium, why risk burning the plants with an overdose of N-P-K?

That makes perfect sense to me Mr. Krip. Does that mean once the GeoFlora has time to break down and do its thing you will just be using the GeoFlora without additives?

Most likely, once they get to their final containers, they'll be fine and nothing else will be needed, but you never know when you're gonna get a "finicky" plant and it's good to have some epsoms and/or Cal-Mag on hand when it happens. I've had the same quart bottle of Cal-Mag for 8+ years. It rarely gets used, but when I need it, I'm glad I have it.

Looking forward to the results Mr. Krip. Should be interesting.

SORRY FOR THE DELAY!

I really apologize for the delays in getting an update posted while I've been dealing with some unexpected "fires", not the least of which is my Mom's health. She's been experiencing some severe vertigo and, since she's the primary caregiver for my Dad, who's basically disabled due to Parkinson's disease, when she's down, she can't help him. On top of everything else, she told me she woke up today not feeling well and thinking she's coming down with a case of "Bronchitis" that I'm praying isn't COVID, especially since my Dad's immune system is highly compromised (he's on immuno suppressants from a liver transplant) and if he gets it, his chances of survival would be pretty low. :(

That being said, I did get the girls up-potted into the #10 GeoPots this weekend and I just went to get some pics for an update; and, as my luck would have it, the camera battery was completely dead and it wouldn't even turn on.

So, I've got the battery charging now and will get that update in ASAP.

Happy Harvests!

Mr Krip. No Rush, but can you remove the Ecoworks EC from the fridge? I't well chilled by now!
Ummmm....you may want to remind me again in another 10 days, or so. Among the other stuff I've been dealing with, my fridge died a couple of weeks ago. After being quoted $887 on the repair, I ended up getting a new one that was just installed last Saturday. I do have the Ecoworks in there, but, for about ten days, prior to last Saturday, the (old) fridge was at 60* F. :sorry:

we can wait.

i know what it is like to care for aging parents. my mother is a brittle diabetic, and has made it long past the best before. it can be a challenge.

ugh. frickin life. just got a $700 alternator put in the car i did not ask for.

coulda done it myself for under $100. my dad swapped cars and thought he was doing me a favour putting it in the shop. they took one look at him and decided he was a walking wallet. they panicked when i come to pick it up.

thing is it needs a rack, which was where i needed to spend the money. they wouldn't give me a quote for the rack and won't return my calls.

Two of the hardest thing in life to find are a good accountant and a good mechanic. All I ever hope for when getting vehicles worked on is getting what I paid for but it's hard to find.

A lot of businesses seem to forget that today social media can be the best or worst advertising they have.

So sorry, Mr. Krip. I can't imagine dealing with all the new responsibility, aging ailing parents (as we all are), and your own life being shoved together. My mom is gone, so I've been down that path. So, yeah, don't wory about your journal, if that's the way it goes. Happy Smokin'
