Re: 420 Consumer Reports - Seed Madness Medical Grow by The Butcher

update coming later today I finally got my camera back :yahoo:

the two girls have completely set into flowering, and the sprouts have well...sprouted some nice fan leafs. I will be updating a few this update, next one will contain the others. I figure its best to do it that way. With time inbetween each update, we all can see the difference, rather then see small amounts of growth. Thats the thing about Vegging and updating, it goes sooo S L O W. But I do figure this is the best way to keep their growth entertaining. :hmmmm:

Re: 420 Consumer Reports - Seed Madness Medical Grow by The Butcher

Thanks OMM, hopefully everything goes through this Nov. for us here in California. If we can push prop 19 through and end Prohibition here in California, without any doubt others will fallow suite. :yahoo: The islands along with other pro-Cannabis states will fallow if California does it legalize Cannabis. Our economy as a whole will benefit and great companies like Seed Madness can truly help better our state and country. The deficit will end and we as a country will benefit immensely. Then finally we can truly see the benefits of Cannabis. :yahoo:

Oh and :sorry: for not posting the picts yesterday, for some reason I had issues loading the site. An update WILL be posted today. Its kinda good to be honest, because it will give me a chance to take better photos'. I just wasn't happy with the ones I took.

Re: 420 Consumer Reports - Seed Madness Medical Grow by The Butcher

Update:
All of the plants have been transfered into net pots full of hydroton, then placed into a DWC system for what I like to call "Root Therapy". Since there is a decent amount of babies going, I've been pulling out all the weak ones that have not shown signs of strong genetics. As for the ones that have shown vigor, I have them kept in a separate container till they get ready to transplant into their final home. I will be showing what is kept rather then what is not. Heres the start:

Nutrients are all at minimum, this is done to keep the plants focused on root growth. Always remember: If you don't have it down below, your DEFINITELY not going to have it up top.

NUTRIENTS
Per Gallon - Nutrient
.5 tsp - Gen. Hydro Flora Micro
.5 tsp - Gen. Hydro Flora Gro
.5 tsp - Gen. Hydro Flora Bloom
1 tsp - Hygrozyme
PH - 5.68
PPM - 350
Temperature - 76*
RH - 45%

I'm reposting this due to it being the last post on the previous page. I was hoping it would start a new one.Nothing worse then having to jump back to the previous page just to see what the hell everyone is talking about.

Mmmmick: :thankyou: & I must say it's a hard job killing off so many lil' ones just to pick one for the grow. But at the end it will be well worth it.

The funny thing is that I'm ending up with soooo many Indica dominant phenos here. Seriously, I'd have to say that about 7 out of 10 beans of each strain are Indica dominant, honestly I've never see this before. Don't get me wrong, I love the issue, it will truly allow me to play with the plants that much more. Wish me luck :ganjamon:

Re: 420 Consumer Reports - Seed Madness Medical Grow by The Butcher

I'd have bumped it if I knew I was starting a page.:tokin:

Havin' too many is a good problem to have. I know what you mean, though. Thats why I've got 2 Mangos sitting off in a corner by themselves.:thumb:

My theory re the indica doms being more prevalent is all the baby boomer stoners need the meds now. In years past it was more for their head.

Nothin' but positive vibes heading your way Butch.

Re: 420 Cannasumer Reports - Seed Madness Medical Grow by The Butcher

They look exceptionally healthy Butcher.

I normally wouldn't go off and ask a question not related to the journal, but you seemed like the best to ask.

What could be the cause of leaves clawing down when you have narrowed out everything else that you can. Unless I read something wrong before I maintain my ph going in around 6.4-6.5 and out is always 6.3-6.4. This would be for soil and it seems to get worse in flower and as the time progress's.

It doesn't appear to affect the growth, but I'm new and using CFL's so I don't know how they would generally grow under optimum conditions. If you need any further info I'd be happy to try and give you what ya need.

Sorry if I intruded, but maybe I'm just missing something. ;)

Fist off its never an intrusion to ask a question, my thread is all your thread. Please ask :)

As for your issue: flush and run straight water till the new growth straightens out. The older leafs have been effected and may or may not stay that way. The flush will help to rid your soil of the salts that have built up. Be sure to flush throughout your grows, especially in soil. Many growers tend to try and get away with not flushing. For some reason if you don't flush, then feed straight R/O water if you can. But in all honesty, you NEED to flush, then feed plain water. This will help to fix your issue. Its a toxicity build up in your soil.

Flush with 3x's the amount of soil in your container. And give it time, its not an immediate fix, thats the downside of soil not a quick fix but its controllable. Do the above and you should be all good.

Oh and once you start to feed the plant nutrients once again, start off 1/4 strength then build your way back up. To much to fast will shock your plant and may bring the clawing back on. Let me know if I didn't cover anything and I will be sure to get you an answer. :goodluck:

That's why I figured I would come your way...:)

I have yet to flush during actual growth only at the end stages. That will surely be added to my schedule. What gets me is this is happening to my Indica dominant strain. I just recently jumped her nutes up to a tsp because of deficiency signs, quite apparent at that. Otherwise I have started over awhile back with 1/4 strength and thought I followed the book anyway.

The curling seems to come on with anything I treat her with and again it curls much worse when in flower. So far the only thing I haven't done is that periodic flush.

So my only thoughts could be getting the flushing timed out, perhaps the change of light spectrum or my tap water. It probably don't mean anything now a days but I let the water sit out for awhile before using and I also place it in the room overnight so that it stays consistent with temp as well.

Of course I suppose this could be a picky plant as well. Like I said it doesn't seem to affect the bud production but at the same time, how will I know if I don't fix it. She needs to look perdy....:)

Re: 420 Cannasumer Reports - Seed Madness Medical Grow by The Butcher

Is the curling happening on a blueberry, or a strain that is crossed with blueberry?

My blueberries curled like that, and i never did straighten them out, didn't appear to hurt the plant or production :) was really good smoke.

Grew with flood/drain, and used both GH 3 part series, and also with GH Flora Nova...same result..damn curling leaves kept me up at night thinking something was wrong :)

Northern Lights plants had no issues.

Thats the thing about toxicity build ups, they can and will lock out vital nutrients. The lock out visually appears to be a deficiency despite not actually being one. The end result is the grower tries to resolve the problem by adding more nutrients. It happen to us all, it just part of the learning process. The flush will help fix that issue. Then just add flushing into your feeding schedule from here on out. If and when you do add flushing into the mix, it will help to prevent further problems from occurring. Another way of preventing further issues is to add straight water into your feeding mix, maybe every other or every 3rd feeding. This way you force the plants to use readily available nutrients without having to add more in. :)

Re: 420 Consumer Reports - Seed Madness Medical Grow by The Butcher

Yeah just about all haze strains do, that and Thai as well. But in all honesty I've realized that with long flowering times comes short veg. So in my honest opinion, it evens out.

Think about it; say you have a haze plant that flowers 12 weeks, but grows very tall. Your naturally going to cut the veg period by if anything half your normal veg time. Say that would be 4 weeks so now your down to a 2 week veg; due to a big stretch from the haze genetics. So now technically your down to a 10 week flowering plant with nice sized colas, and a smell to match. So its not that bad, do you remember my mother Rainbow Kush going 16 weeks, now that was crazy. So if I can deal with a plant flowering 16 weeks you'll be all good. You have mad skills and unbelievable knowledge and experience with LED's :adore:, I truly feel no matter what strain you grab you'll make it work. :ganjamon:

Just Found this Thread my seedlings are about 10 days younger then yours I would say from the date your first pics were shot so definetly gonna sit in on this grow.
BTW Have you ever Grown out GHS Super Silver Haze? If so about how much veg time would you give it if you were going to move it into a room that would allow for them to be no larger then 4' tall?
