One cubic foot of croutons will fill two five gallon nursery pots.....super expensive! I have a test unit running, 5 gallon pot. It's slowly getting it's bearings in the new medium. I can see that once it takes hold it's going to do quite well. I'm running this test, and if the numbers come out equitable then I'm setting a unit up that's around 1000 sq. ft. and I'll run it. If I have to veg longer than 6 weeks I'll probably drop the method. I can run soil in a six week veg and pull an lb. per 600 watts. At close to half the price....maybe less.
Well, it's not really expensive if they can be recycled and the cost of water & nutes comes into play I'd imagine also as I doubt you're pumping that soil run off back around through that soil. How much do you spend per 5 gallon pot on your soil mix btw? Must be nice having a third of a football field for a grow room, sweet.

I tell ya if it wasn't for sharing the knowledge with growers who will get something out of it I wouldn't spend the time AG, your one of my favorite members here. Finally a 'peek' into the veg room! It is really amazing how you have your whole perpetual system running like clockwork, and you don't have to even fully explain it for one to fully understand your 'plug 'n play' system. I'm really digging it bro.
I'll be expecting to learn soe tricks with that outdoor journal of yours too.
So back to what this journals all about.
Super high returns for a fraction the cost or labor of soil. I'll put up any plant any amount of veg time watt for watt with any super dooper soil.
Enough said if its gotta be soil take it somewhere else.
Im really wanting to share some love so how about a sneek peek in s1's veg room, soon to be no more room...

I really would not be where I am right now if it was for anything less than those four.

Thanks again
Basically, I'm much like the couple with the military dad, and little girl in the Dr Sanjay Gupta CNN special. Something imho everyone should see at least once. Anyone who says their eyes don't tear up just a little with joy is lying.

Here's what I call my "Noah's Ark in 14 days" they were freshly rooted cuts 14 days ago. They are all my "keeper pheno's"
Take notes, people! Clones with this much veg growth and only cut 14 days ago? Most of us (after 14 days) only have a nice rooted clone and just starting new growth.
Amazing, S1ing. One challenge that we all face (including me) is getting our clones into a rapid growth stage after rooting. I think I speak for everyone here when I ask... please post a blog entry and tell us HOW you get these babies to take off so soon after rooting?
