4 Strawberry Kush F5's - How Red Can We Get 'Em?

It cost some growth to process extra nutes, Scrog is working in the sweet spot for his plants I feel.

Thats my belief too JM, although I couldn't prove it to you. They just seem to do best with that amount.

We are right SD. If a person could go down till they are hungry then just move up a little I think they will have more and better growth then going to burn and backing off.

And that's exactly why I bought GH nutes today. I'm going to ride your coattails to success, SD!

I'm not sure of most peoples methods of feeding but heres how I do it. I find through some trial and error and some experience the point at which the plants are eating and drinking at the same rate. In the case of this grow that happens to be 1.5 gallons a day at 1280µS. I then mix 5 or 10 gallons of replacement water to 1280µS as well and top up each day with that nutrient water. I can go weeks like this and the EC never changes if I get it right

Now, some will argue that I have no way of knowing which nutrients are being used up and which are loading up in solution and not being used causing an imbalance despite a constant reading of 1280µS. My reasoning here, is simply that I have never seen a deficiency symptom or burn of any kind that would lead me to believe that my nutrients aren't being consumed consistently as I imagine.

Like you mentioned JM, I start light and increase nutrients until I find that happy place.

Here ya go bud. Just prorate the nutrients to your water volume and it should get you close. This is what I used for the Thai plant.

Awesome stuff Sd. Although I don’t use the exact same nutes, I pretty much follow the same way of thinking on feeding. I don’t know the science like you do though. Is there going to be a quiz later? Cause I’m terrible at that. :Namaste:

Seriously, you can tell you know what you’re doing just by the pictures. I love it!

Ive seen Kool bloom at the hydro shop on town but I was/am scared of overdoing anything beyond the GH trioi'm using. Can you shed a little light on it SD and do you find it imperative during flower?

Sorry for butting I'm here. But from my experience with liquid kool bloom was awesome saw more development from buds themselves. Just cut it by half strength. And you will be fine.

In flower I add 2.0 ml/gal of liquid KoolBloom to the brew and then I change to granular KoolBloom for the last 2 weeks before flushing.

I was looking at KoolBloom products online last night. I kinda chafes me that they don't show what's in it or offer any scientific evidence as to its mode of action or if it's even tailored to cannabis. Empirical evidence may show that it works, but I wanna know WHY.

edit: And which "flower" are they referring to? Their new test tent is full of daffodils or some shit. LOL

I used it on the clones of my first grow. Can't really compare it yet, only in veg on the 3rd grow and the 1st grow was all about keeping em alive.

Fucking nice canopy ya got SD and very healthy looking. Should be a great haul.

Things are chuggin along in the tent. Day 16 of flower. 24 days since flip.
