3rd Grow - Time For The Light Show

Hey there Kriaze,
Looks like there's been some Kriaze blood mixed in with the start of your 1st batch compost since my last visit.
Sorry to read about your little mishap but your first batch of composted soil should grow some really Kriaze plants bro! Blood, sweat, and tears.... LOL!!

FYI - Don't be freaking out so much about your LSD girl. My LSD girl was also a slow starter and didn't look so healthy when she was a young seedling. That all changed about a month in and she's now passing up all of the others. Be patient with her and she'll be just fine.

Hey Mr Am4zin thanks :thumb:

Hey UncleCannabis I've given the compost my blood and sweat, but I'm not admitting to any tears lol. The LSD doesn't seem to be dying as of yet and her newer growth looks healthier than the older leaves. I was expecting the plants to be showing a touch of nuts burn at least today but so far so good, I'm keeping everything crossed here.

Still not much sign of movement with the seeds yet but I think they'll be showing and ready for planting before my day is over (my days tend to last until around 4/5am here). Everything is ready :) All the best.

Now that you've gotten the sweat and blood all taken care of the tears will come in time.
Patience my friend, patience..... LOL!

Don't you bloody jinx me with those tears UncleCannabis! Don't forget you are the lightning rod for my misfortune lol. All the best :)

Gotta' remember to pick up some lightning rods soon.

I'm all caught up! That was a beautiful nug on the first pages. Hope it smoked as nice as it looked! I just started my first grow with an auto. Trying to get a quick grow under my belt before I switch over to trainwreck or cookie kush. Good Luck!

Hey Going Down thanks for dropping in. The nug did indeed smoke beautifully and so do all of her sisters :)

Good luck with your grow and if you decide to make a journal (I highly recommend it even if it's just for timekeeping and having something to check data against) please feel free to post the link and I'll gladly come and give you some moral support. Sending some good karma your way :thumb:

Yesterday I planted the four seeds that I germinated. All except one had tiny taproots emerging but the White Widow had just about cracked open for a taproot but it was miniscule, still it was potted along with the rest and they are now in the dark in my second tent. No signs of sprouting when I checked today, it's in the hands of Mother Nature now, I'm sure they'll pull through.

After an interesting read over on TheCelt's thread regarding Daitomaceous Earth being an excellent form of Silica I decided I'd throw a kilo or so into the composting bin along with a small bale of straw and some teabags, I threw in a couple of pints of water too (not too sure if water should be added but I can't see it doing any harm). That bin is almost full now, I'm thinking of purchasing a second one so that I can keep two batches of soil on the go at all times. Maybe even make one that is more preferable for seeds, seedlings and clones once I gain some more knowledge on the Soil Food Web (reading a lot about it).

The girls in the main tent were also given some Diatomaceous Earth but no watering as of yet. I'll be watering later with a touch of CalMag as the girls seem to be showing signs of a slight deficiency. I don't want to use too much CalMag if possible as the Dolomite Lime that was added a few days back should hopefully start to release some of it's calium into the soil soon enough.

I also decided today that I would top all four plants. I paused before doing this to the LSD as that plant seems to be suffering still, but in the end I decided that if she was going to make it to harvest she'll have to toughen up and learn to survive my gardening ways ;)

Here is the LSD topped:

That's about it for now. I'm hoping the seedlings will show through over the next 24-48 hours, if not then I'll need to look at where I went wrong. I'd be very surprised if all four seeds didn't sprout, I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I hope you are all having a great weekend, all the best :thumb:

Just a quick update. I've poked my head into the second tent and both the Big Freeze and Amnesia VIP have sprouted :) There's signs of soil movement on the Blueberry XL so I expect that to be up tomorrow. No sign yet of the White Widow, we'll just have to see on that one. All the best everyone :thumb:

Hey Spitz thanks for dropping in and for the compliment.

As I thought the Amnesia VIP had showed her head today and no White Widow as of yet. Maybe a flash of light will help it along so will upload pics of the new girls later :thumb:

I love the sight of seeds sprouting. It always brings on a huge smile no matter what kind of mood that I may be in.
:love::circle-of-love::love:

The first bunch of seeds that popped (IB,BF,BG XL) will veg in the LED tent until ready for flowering then Incredible Bulk 1 will be moved back into the CFL/HPS tent and the three remaining girls will be flowered using the Mars II 1600 plus the two 96x3 Reflectors as side lighting.

The four (or maybe three depending on whether the White Widow will show, I haven't had time to check today but I think she will show herself soon if not already) in this tent will be vegged under the 300w CFL until the other three are finished flowering at which point I will make the decision as to whether I think Incredible Bulk 1 has grown enough for a solo show in the LED tent. If so then she will be moved into the LED tent for my one big bush grow and the other plants will be flowered under the HPS.

The above is my preferred route to take with this grow and has been my plan so far but if the IB 1 isn't big enough for my liking then she will remain in the CFL/HPS tent in veg while the newer three or four plants are flowered under the LED. I will at this point plant more seeds for the CFL/HPS tent.

Those are my plans so far but we all know what happens to the best laid plans sometimes :)

I hope you are well db003 and that this explains my plans well enough for you (I'm using a phone so auto replace and fat fingers will hopefully be in harmony here) and I'm happy you asked as up until this moment I hadn't really thought up a solid plan of action. It sounds like a good enough plan now I'm writing it, I'll have to see how it reads once it's posted lol. Thanks for the push on my brain db003, have a great day :thumb:

Morning Kraize

I just put up an article on Soil Science containing my research into organics. Give you a place to reference as needed and contains more than we discussed on my thread. Check it out when you have a chance and see what you think. And always ask questions mate, if I don't know or can't find the answer, I'll do my best to point you to someone who does :) Article is linked in my sig.

TheCelt you are a true gent mate, I'll head on over and have a read up :thumb: Talking of which I'm just about to add the remains of last nights supper (mussels in Schezuan sauce) to my composting bin today, just the shells which I will crush first and add along with my veg peelings from yesterday and the eggshells I'll have left over from dinner. I love this feeding back to the Earth what we have used idea :)

On another note I had a quick look in the tents and the White Widow has indeed popped her head through so we have all four little ladies alive in the CFL/HPS tent. The other three plants have shown a fair amount of stretch though so I've moved the light closer and that should help sort that out. I reckon I'll give UncleCannabis, and anyone else that likes seedlings a smile today and upload a picture of them all later.

Have a great day and thanks again, you go above and beyond in the sharing of your acquired knowledge :thumb:
