3rd Grow: NYC Diesel & LA Confidential, Using Geoflora Nutrients

Gotcha. Well you obviously learned a lot. In my experience the light and proper placement, as well as proper intensity, has a ton to do with trichome production. Good stuff man. Now you gotta figure out how to use it at 100% from start to finish. Lol. I have never used a dimmer, all my lights have them. Lmao.
I think starting with autos made me paranoid. The photos are really helping me loosen up and enjoy the grow and not get all picky expecting perfect leaves with no spots or anything. On the last one I got OCD and started picking off any ugly leaves and those ugly leaves were providing energy to my buds. Such a learning process and I'm sure I'm still doing a bunch of things wrong

I just finished two plants with great results. For both plants I continued to prune for several weeks after flip to stop small new shoots from developing. I try for 8-10 colas.

Excellent thank you for this info. 8-10 is exactly what I am going for also and so far 3 of the 4 are looking perfect.

Bit of a trim is always good, I remove most the bottom section of my plants helps to develop the top of the canopy, no point growing buds were they is insufficient light penetration.

Remove a few leaves nothing to crazy on top a little defoliation is good to keep air moving through the plants.

ok that's exactly how I did mine, so this makes me feel better. Took a little more off on the one then I wanted but it was the youngest in the tent and only flipped because none of my friends wanted it and I didn't want to kill it so I just let it go.

Getting some nice flowers on these plants, and wondering if the advanced nutrients bud ignitor has anything to do with it. Started seeing pistols within 5 days of light change on these. Noticing some really nice frost on these pretty early on and I'm really excited to see how this turns out.

I agree with thehiker. I shoot for 8 to 10 as well, I'm finding that's one potential sweet spot. All the autos you see in my grow, the monsters, were topped above the fourth node as soon as the fifth was out enough to cut it off, and the branches were pulled to the sides as close to a clock face as I could get them. Then I let them go. They get big, bud laden branches this way, and the 8-10 colas can all be excellent yielding branches. Also, if you do it with that goal in mind you'll find that your smaller buds down low in the middle, which there are a bunch of, will get access to much more light, cuz you won't have them covered up with a trillion bud sites that will all be just the tops at the end of the day. There are other sweet spots, but that's the one I'm on currently.

Happy New Year. Plants entering 3rd week of flower. The smallest diesel went from smelling very faint to stinking up the tent. Starting to notice the different bud structures of each strain. Here are a few pics. Both diesels are on the right LA is in the back left and Maui is in the front left.

Gorgeous, Costanza. Look at that lift! Exactly how I like them. The buds look great! Frost train rolling in too. You're rocking and rolling man, nice work. Happy NY too!

In less than a week the smell in the tent has really gotten quite pungent. They all have their own unique smell, the LA smells the sweetest, and and the 2 diesels have a funky cat piss scent to them. The youngest diesel was the last to develop flowers but the flowers are somehow more developed now than the other 3 which is really mind boggling. Here is a pic of them all and each one close up.

Nice stacking! And damn, a couple of them are quite frosty for this point in flower. Super sweet work.

Good morning @Costanza hope you are well my friend.
Garden is frosting up nicely. :thumb:
Everything looks great except the color is slightly off.
Is that because of the lighting?
Or are they slightly hungry? :Namaste:
Nice work so far Amigo

Stay safe

The leaf color on the 3 that were started organically never darkened and stayed light green even after giving more nitrogen and getting burnt tips. The one in the top left was started with bottled nutes and the leaves stayed greener and had zero issues. Defintely using these same AN nutrients from the beginning on the next grow. No bad things to say about the geoflora, it was user error on my part but I learned a lot about my growing style and preference on this grow and maybe sometime down the road I will try to grow organically but for now I'm gonna stick to the bottles

Yep I'm I've been up to full strength for 3 weeks now and even went a little over and got some tip burn but the leaves never darkened.

What's your ph?
I apologize I can't remember what's in your pots?
Do you put calmag into your water first?

Got a limey one myself. She’s been that way since day one. She gets the same feed as the others. But she’s still light in color. I can say that she is the tallest at 64”. She flowered first. She’s covered in frost and full of bud sites. She is a real beauty. Guess it’s simple genetics. Here’s a few pics. Beautiful plants by the way. Congrats

Using tap water left out for a few days. Added a little calmag last feeding. Growing in promix and the ph has been sitting at 5.8 for the past month.

Ok so this makes me feel so much better. It was driving me crazy because the nutrien strength was correct and I couldn't find any issues that could cause it.

I’ve read users of promix alternative water between feeding.
I think if you flushed that pot and alternated between water and feed she will green up and explode.
Btw 5.8 is perfect.
