just so you are aware running a mars rig full on will really shorten it's lifespan.

mars is known for short lives already. they are cheap to get in to but don't last.. they will do best in the first three years. after that the efficiency and quality drops pretty dramatically. more so than most rigs out there.

edit : if you can, run the mars rigs at no more than 75 - 90%. backing off that 10 - 25% will help those rigs run longer, more efficient, and you'll gain a lot more usable lifespan.

A lot of us do it sometimes called lolypoping. Everything that is not getting direct light on top gets removed. To do it is usually improves larger main colas and reduces trimming work on larfy buds. All depends on what you want from her if you want some smaller buds for butter or whatever keep em. Most plants if it isn’t getting lots of light I remove it.

Yea I’m not planning on making butter with this grow this was more of a learning experience and now I have more knowledge and can see where I can do better next grow around. I think I’m going to trim off the real tiny buds that haven’t really increased in size. Is it ok to do it all at once or should I do it over a few days? Thanks for the Info

As Bill said the lollipop and the kushman are 2 I’ve used with great success. All the energy of the developed root ball is used to grow the new bud at the top of the stalk nearest the light when the plant is flipped to flower. The stretch is where the buds grow big. Good Luck

can't remember if you're running photo or auto.

if auto just leave well enough alone. if photo you can do a trim / clean up / lollipop up to 2 wks in to flowering. you look to be close or past. anything past that 2 wk window is gonna cost you somewhere, usually in production.


edit: the real work for creating the best production / colas all happens in veg.

I’m running photos northern lights in week 4 of flower for the most part all the pistils are still white and covered with trichomes

My lady is looking good nice and perky tomorrow she will most likely get a feeding I was able to snap some pictures through the loupe today

Not to much to update tonight. She still isn’t dried out enough from the sledgehammer flush so I’m holding off on feeding hopefully tomorrow she will be ready. Otherwise she looks healthy and buds are starting to swell up some more

No smell unless I start moving her around or shake her otherwise I can’t smell them outside the tent but I am running a filter set up/ but boy does she smell good when I move her.

I’m starting to think about drying and curing so I am ready when the time comes. I’m going to use the tent I’m growing in which has the ac infinity fan that I can control fan speed and I also have a regular fan in there that I am going to run on a slow speed underneath but it won’t directly be blowing on to the buds. My question is with lights off I usually have a humidity between 40-50 is it ok to run my mini humidifier in the tent if my rh falls lower or should I run it on the outside by the intake the temp usually stays around 62-64 with lights out.

Its a lot easier to control the environment in your room or basement say than inside a tent believe it or not. Cool dark environment with (minimal ) air flow is what your aiming for. Remember slower is always better.
