3 months veg time on a hempy, id say thats way to long, the hempies i do are 2ltr and are done in 8 weeks from start to finish or if i give them 7 days veg then it takes 9 weeks, but your using bigger pots so some veg time would be best, the plants i do in 5gallon pots only get around 4 to 6 weeks of veg before flipping to flower, but i dont get huge yields, so a longer veg would give bigger yields, i couldnt veg the 2ltr hempies any longer as the roots fill the res even when i use a full 2ltr bottle as the res, but bigger pots will mean more root space so you can give them more veg time, ill be following along to see how it goes.
i just bought a pack of permanent markers for labeling, it gets hard to remember them all when you get a lot of plants, so i use a permanent marker and write on the pots, and i write on the jars i cure the buds in, the marker will wipe off with warm soapy water and a rough sponge, plus using markers is so much easier than cutting bits of paper to stick on the pots or even using pot markers and sticking them in the soil, it only takes a few minute to mix the markers up and before you know it you dont know which plant is which, i have got 2 plants that are now in flower that im not sure what they are, their either special kush or nl x bb, but ill only know when it is well into flower what it is as them strains flowered totally different so ill tell when their later in flower,
but i found the permanent markes is the easiest and quickest option, i even write the dates on the pots now of when they started veg or when they started flower etc, and when the pots are finished and have no plants in then i just give them a scrub in warm soapy water and it takes all the marker off and i can start again, its saves sticking labels on the side of pots, i just write it on instead.
sounds like you got your winter garden well on the way then mate, you know the auto that did not germ, have you still got it or thrown it out, if you still got it rub some sand paper over the sead and run it around the edges of the seed, give it a good rub to scuff it up and this will make it grow, sometimes the seed skin is to thick and moisture dont get in, this happened 2 or 3 times to me but i used sand paper or glass paper and gave the seeds a godo scuffing and it solved the problem, i even ran a sharp knife around the edge of the seed where it normally opens as it would not sprout, then within 24 hours it had popped out the seed and was growing so i left it and it grew ok,
i have found the bigger seeds tend to have more problems, so i give each seed now a good scuffing and they seem to germ a whole lot quicker than they did before
