Hi Miwa,
WOW!!! Thats something different! I havent seen clones/plants kept in water or such before??
They dont look like they could live!! Looks like a pile of good ol' Spinach ( Guggedy gug ) Pop-eye:) Pardon my ignorance on this method, but i wouldnt have thought its possible to grow a plant thats created/started like this?? Whats this method called mate?? Honestly its the first time ive seen this.. I hope they grow for you buddy, and thats a bit unlucky with your male/female ratio.. I do not know as ive said if the sex is pre-determined or caused by certain circumstances? I feel the latter to be the main cause of a male or female plant.. As ive only ever had 1 male sprout out of every plant seed ive planted. Most of these being also bagseed, so it leans me toward thinking more about how theyre being grown, ie; what the soil is made up of, nutrients or some other things maybe heat/moisture or quality of the seeds being grown. As ive read something saying like - a hermi plant may produce more male seeds than female, or a male plant maybe? Cant remember exactly, So this maybe where the problem is, as possibly the seeds you gathered were from one of these male/female plants that has predominately male seed.. IF SOMEONE KNOWS WHAT IM REFERENCING - PLZ CORRECT ME!!
But yeah, you need chicks not dicks!! Lol.. So MAY GANJA GODS GRANT YOU FEMALE PLANTS FROM HERE ON IN AND MAY THEY PRODUCE YOU MANY A MASSIVE NUG!! Have a good one, and goodluck bro! Smokem..

Hey Miwa thought i would stop by. Are those little white spots all over the fans normal on the jock horrer? I have a couple of fans on mine with similar spots.

If theyre not from mits or any pests, you may just have same prob as me.. maybe lighting or slight N deficiency..But plants should still be ok!

you might also try plastic cling wrap. If you cut a strip and wrap, it sticks to itself and you can tighten to taste (greenhouse if you are reading I think that first clip was to tight)

i sprayed leaves and didn't rinse..no problems...that pile of spinach got crispy and perished..just an experiment using bagseed...i don't know why i have a bad female/male ratio...i've always had that with bagseed...my son is just the opposite ..he gets more females with bagseed...its all good...i can do experiments with males..but not in the garden...its bout time for an update...got a lot of pics...

Hmmm.. Looks like Pop-eye missed out on a feed! Lol.. Sorry they didnt survive. But what is that method called, and have you seen any results from this style of growing- do you know if they CAN SURVIVE THAT??
Its new to me, was that called ' Aquaponics '?? I see how a seed can germinate in water, but a plant that needs oxygen and light to survive, i dont think could be kept in such a way.. Id like to see any results from this as it would be pretty amazing to see this occur IMO:):)
Anyways buddy, hope all goes well for ya.. If ya get a chance, maybe buy some good organic soil, like my Humus and mix it with what you like, i prefer natural stuff among my soil - chuck a seed in it, water and put a Cfl or 2 above it.. See if you sprout a seedling and hopefully that will be a girl.. Ya may as well, as if you got a few males, maybe this will sprout ya a Girl!! Just dont fill soil with Perlite,D.E or Vermiculite.. Try an organic soil grow, Cant hurt to try it, i want you to have some chicks bro!!! A man needs his girls:):)
Godspeed young son, and yo' bitches! Smokem..

Smokem.

Aquaponics is using an eco system to feed the plants as opposed to what most of us do, which is give them fertilizers.

Basically you have fish pooping in the water, the water flows through the plants roots and the poop feeds them, then the fish eat parts of the plant and it starts all over again. Circle of life :).

I really dig aquaponics for things like veggies. It is very promising and sustainable. However for weed, i am not too sure it can work very well. Unless you use two types of fish and have a veg and flower area. I am sure you could make decent smoke in a aquaponics using just one pond. But I have yet to see someone make killer chronic with auqaponics. TBH I dont think I have actually seen anyone even use aquaponics for weed yet lol.

ok .. Well there you go! Learn sumthin new everyday:) Fish poop ay??? Hmmm - could be onto a winner with that! Or not..

Might use fish water to water plants with...but don't think i want to grow in it..ph up and down got acid in it ...i don't think fish like the taste of acid...i dug up a plant out of the garden..washed the roots off and started a DWC...

with the fish tank water its all about the nitrates and nitrites, the fish produce this in the waste they produce, plus all the food you feed the fish and is not eaten gets broken down in the water, most top fertilisers are made from nitrates so fish water makes sense considering it contains everything the plant needs, i dont think you could grow in a fish tank but you could start clones in their, plus the fish tank water works wonders on these plants, i have been feeding one of my clones with just water from the fish tank, and the difference is huge, i got 2 clones growing in soil that was the same size when planted, i fed the one water and bpn and the other fish tank water and bpn, the fish tank fed clone is more than twice the size of the clone watered with regular tap water, so clearly their is something in the water that the plants like, i watered both plants with the same amount of water and nutes so it was as fair as it could be, and clearly the fish tank watered clone is doing a lot better than the regular water clone.

nice update miwa, well done mate everything looks good, my ph of my fish tank water is around 6.8 to 6.9 so the ph is about the same as tap water, my tap water is 7.0 every time i check, plus i dont use any water safe in the tank, this is used to remove chlorine when you do a water change in the tank, but i dont use this as i always let me water stand for at least 24 hours before doing a water change, so i add no chemicals at all, if my fish are ill or got white spot then i add chemicals but i have not had any problems in years with ill fish, so my water is just water, plus its heated as i have tropical fish, i also got many different fish in their so the water is full of crap from these fish, and my plants seem to be liking it.

i spoke to corey about it at bpn as i was unsure of feeding full strength bpn with the tank water, he told me their would be no problems so i used it and my plants showed no problems, just grew a lot quicker than the plants that had not had any fish tank water, even the male plant i give the water to grew like crazy, it was smaller than the female of the same strain but as soon as it had fish tank water it grew like crazy and not its about 4 inches bigger than the fem of the same age

My dad had tons of koi ponds at his house. He had one of those gardens that people see and think they just stepped into a better homes and gardens magazine spread.

Every time hed water hed take a scoop of MG and then fill up his watering can with water from the pond. That was it and every plant there was bbasically perfect.
