2nd Grow: Golden Tiger Solo Plant

And the 2nd to last round of harvest done...at my lunch hour...only big fatty main cola left.

From the left: 32g, 22g, 20g, 18g

20200609_124221.jpg
20200608_202543.jpg
So the 22g branch above plus the 15g and 20g from before were trimmed of 4g of stems and put into low and slow @46g total meaning they had only lost 11g of moisture+stem so far=~20%. Hopefully these will dry down to a tasty 1/2 ounce in finale.

The other 3 remaining @ 32, 20, and 18g will be packaged for the fridge in a few hours. Most likely will be down 5-6 g with stems and all.

And DDA is hanging up. I left a few bottom buds just in case I decide to re_veg if it's possible.

Maybe I can get some love for bud of the month? 115g wet trimmed.

20200609_132112.jpg
So I took the 3 remaining individual branches and 3 bottom buds off the above cola and removed 3.6g of stem and made 2 packages of 29g and 30g to put into crisper for low and slow drying. The main cola still remains in one piece without the 3 lower buds. Minus 3.5g of stem if still weighs in at a solid 52g!

And I'm just making things more complicated now (so I don't get bored I guess?) by throwing in a pair of African Buzz regular seeds in the hopes of making some babies. I'm hoping I can get a male and a female out of this couple and be able to fertilize the Honey Peach CBD (and the other two THC girls, GT and Gelato if they are still making flowers when/if the male is ready). They've popped roots the day after being in paper towel after an overnight soak and are now above ground ready to meet the world:

Stupid cat pulled up one of the babies but I hope I was able to get her reseated in her pot in time. She's not flopped over and I gave her a few ml of water so I'm encouraged. Maybe this will be the trigger to be a male.

Here's the collection from yesterday

I took this lovely bud and stuck it in a jar. she was 37g at jarring and will cure in the fridge for some time.

Here's some pictures for updates... looks like Honey Peach CBD Auto is ready to start blooming! Seem a little early though? Only 3 weeks above soil...need at least 2 more nodes I think...she's only at 11 inches and 6 nodes

AB2 starting to get leaves finally. This one might look a little funny!

So I figured if I'm gonna go for making seeds, I'll use the other batch of regular seeds I bought, CBD Caramel from Barney's.

From Herbie's website:
CBD Caramel is a regular, photoperiod cannabis strain brought to you by Barney’s Farm. A high-CBD strain known for her excellent yields and high cannabinoid content, CBD Caramel has a remarkable Brazilian x Himalayan x Afghani X Ruderalis genetic lineage which not only allows her to deliver up to 350 g/m2 but she also does this in under 9 weeks of flower!

...also shows 18% of BOTH THC and CBD! I just had to see what this was all about!! I'm thinking this crossed with African Buzz will make quite a wonderful treat!

African Buzz brings pure African sativa genetics within reach of growers worldwide. With an exotically tropical taste and superior sativa effect it continues to be extremely popular with customers. African Buzz has been selectively bred from the old Seedsman strain Malawi Gold, it being back-crossed with a particularly fast-growing male phenotype which reduced the flowering time to a more realistic 11 weeks.
Being a pure sativa strain African Buzz has the potential to grow into a very large plant with budding sites stretching along its tentacle-like branches. Its African heritage makes this an indoor or green house plant unless grown in a very warm climate where there is no danger of frost into December such as is found around the Mediterranean. Its exceptional, cerebral effect is one to cherish for sativa connoisseurs.

Two CBDCR seeds put into tap water...sunk by next morning...now in paper towel.

And, since the African Buzz has been started just about 10 days ago, the timing couldn't be much better for these two to ripen concurrently for me to cross breed. GT and Gelato might be too far gone to ripen seeds before any pollen shows up.

I have been interested in GT and Malawi from ACE seeds for a while now but have one more bag of seeds to go. So its about a year away. Nice grow and great buds....

Honey Peach CBD Auto STREEEEETCCHHHING out now. More than an inch per day so following the trend from DDA I hope (I wouldn't mind that result here as well!)

17+" tall now

African Buzz twins need to get more outdoor light as they've been in 12/12 for 2 nights now and need to grow up more!
20200622_151103.jpg

Auto Gelato now at 84 days. Trichs are all still clear. Seems like my plants like to grow longer than the documentation says they should be ready...(65-70 days from germ?)
20200622_151124.jpg

Golden tiger having a different light raction this time than her clone...some of the fan leaves are almost turning white on the edges and progressing inward to the veins. Very odd...

Things are happening faaaassst in Schnookie's garden!

Auto Gelato got a little trimming today with a few branches. Looks like almost all trichs are cloudy now and barely any amber so I think now might be prime peak of strength based on that. Odd thing, however, is the abundance of white hairs still present and new ones growing also.

20200624_162923.jpg

AG cuttings @86 or 87 days from seed, depending on time of day. 17g, 15g, 10g, 6g
20200624_160959.jpg

The first twins, AfricanBuzz (AB) are starting to pick up speed although I'm sure they would be happier with longer day of light. With the tent at 12/12 I put them outside at dark and they get sunrise for an extra 3 hours of daylight for ~15 total.
20200624_125904.jpg

And their hopefully soul mates, Caramel CBD regulars, are finally out of their casings and stretching to the light. The first that came out of soil had to be "helped" out of it's helmet with tweezers then the little casing taken off a few hours later since the leaves were not pushing hard enough.
20200624_125856.jpg

OH, and HoneyPeachCBD or HP for short now is now over 20"(!!) for a new rate of 3 inches in 2 days! Yikes!

Took the low and slow DDA from 6/8 originally 30g in paper, now 19g without (6g paper). Dried almost to 79%. Put into 106.5 degrees f for 21.75 hours.

Also put 30g of GT from 6/3 @58g into cob for 22.5 hours@106.5F and kept 12g in jar to be burped.

Got myself a nice rose gold Pax3 to taste my bud better and tried the bubbler in between and it was just nasty. The best thing about the vape too is I can tell that the weed is ready or not after cure. It's really obvious this is a young fresh bud that's only a few weeks from cutting vs buds that I've harvested 5 months ago.. I think the future is vaporizer for sure and I'm gonna start making oils for capsules and gummies too.

IMG_20200621_225902_01.jpg

Bought myself a bunch of cones though too, to store longer term or just to pull out when I'm somewhere is legal or secluded. Need to grind up some bud and fill those cones.

20200626_225035.jpg

And also bought what I thought would be a cheap ($60) vaporizer on Amazon works smashingly! And it's really cool looking. OLED screen is OK, photo screwed up.

20200626_225209.jpg

New cuttings from Gelato today. All cloudy trichombs and no amber basically. All pushing out a few white pistils all over but I think she's peaking. 11, 12, 15, and 29g... total 67g trimmed.

20200628_120235.jpg
20200628_114654.jpg

And went back and got this 13g branch too so the total is an even 80g.

And these girls now are at 19g minus 3g of stems and were put into the crisper with the remaining paper-folded treasures. Will get a photo eventually. I think there are 8 or 9 packages I made full on buds now in the fridge drawer. The lot of them might be ready to go into jars to burp in fact.

Took the two cobs, GT and DDA from a week ago and after drying some (30>27g GT, 19>12g DDA) and resealed for long term curing.

I am considering taken the rest of Gelato down this holiday weekend, but I can't really tell if there had been any change. let's compare:

That looks like a pax2 not a pax3. I have the same one in silver.
What's the difference between the pax2 and pax3?

Edit just looked. I have the 3. It's got Bluetooth to connect app which can set the temperature and mode.

Well Gelato got lopped yesterday and I put the cuttings into the low and slow in the crisper in the fridge. I checked the humidity and temp and it was over 60% and 43 degrees so this might be just perfect for long dying.

DDA is in jars with more still in l&s too. Put a few oz into the box for dark drying. everything has been filtered daylight in the dry which is different than the last grow which had the other closet to dry in which my son is using now.

I'll go into more detail on final weights once each strain has dried to its ready to smoke and cure weight.

Here's a couple of Golden tiger nugs that will be ready in a few weeks.

Took the rest of Gelato down today after trimming the remaining colas. There wasn't a whole lot left, maybe what will become 3/4 oz after drying. I'll get a wet weight later when I put them into paper for low and slow.

And here's how things are looking today. GT is starting to get topheavy. I figured out that it was lacking cal mag giving it the white leaves and even the sugar leaves getting affected. I think I contained it and stopped the spread so it will be getting really fat up until harvest in a few weeks.
