2nd Grow: Fruity Pebbles, Gorilla Zkittles, Peyote Critical & 3 More

Day 99/15 So everyone is looking good. Little leaf burn on my Cinderella 99 but everyone else is looking good. Today was watering day and I have brought in B-52 to the mix. I’m only going with half the recommended nutrients with them still being so early into its grow, but need a little more for the more mature Black Sugar. The clippings I took of Black Sugar last week are overall doing well, but lost one almost 2 days into the cloning phase and just replaced it. I added a few drops of Cal-Mag Xtra and B-52 into the water they sit in and leaf health seems strong with the addition. Yellowing of the leaves has greatly slowed down and all are standing tall. The Fruity Pebbles clone I have is now in a small pot, sitting in the grow tent. Pretty sure I’m seeing some new little growth under the discoloured leaves on it. So I just bent it slightly back to expose them to more light and will see soon if it is new growth that I am seeing. Hopefully by the end of the week I can once again start mainlining the new gals, if my last attempt pictures are any indication. So now onto the new pics

Day 106/22 They’re getting close now to being mainlined again. Looks like in another day or 2 and I will top them and start their training. . .again (minus Peyote Critical which is a few days behind since the first seed didn’t take) A few days ago I also added 3tbsp of grounded up eggshells to the top of the soil of everyone. Half of my plants show some sort of calcium deficiency and these will hopefully help that out. So today was watering with nutrients, and I upped my Cal-Mag Xtra by 4ml/gal to help out calcium problem as well. My Fruity Pebbles clone is doing well and new growth is evident now and starting to look greener too. The Black Sugar clones are getting there with no root bumps showing but can see some swelling on/near the bottom of the stems. So I might start doing my updates a bit more frequently when the training starts, but for now I present my weekly update

Day 113/29 Well I had a small scare earlier in the week. Noticed some white spots on 2 of my big fan leaves (Fruity Pebbles) and sure enough it looked like mites again. So off they went, sprayed everyone down with water/alcohol solution and some silica bug repellent powder. Funny in some ways, because this happened on my first attempt growing Fruity Pebbles and only on FP. Besides that, it has been a pretty progressive grow and of the bushier variety. I have also decided to Quadline the grow after seeing how well the growth was going before I were to remove that 2nd set to make it mainlined. Plus this way, I should also be able to progress to that flowering stage (for realz this time) hopefully a week earlier. Still waiting on roots to show on my Black Sugar clones but are still looking good with some leaves lost now. Also lollipop my Black Sugar plant to increase airflow, and try more clones in just plain soil with them trimmings. They are looking meh but I don’t have much room anywhere and are all in a 7G fabric pot and outside. Getting a little warmer here, more light for the day but still really cool at night. Still all a learning experience and who knows what I’m going to do when/if they actually survive and thrive (but I’ll think of something) So here are this week’s pics

Quadline looks solid and lots of fresh green growth. I'll be excited to watch this play out.

Day 120/36 Well half of my grow is no longer a Quadline and more of a 3 headed hydra. While training my Gorilla Zkittlez, Peyote Critical and Critical Orange Punch I just had a limb pop cleanly right off the stem like a Barbie Doll arm. Sadly, unlike the Barbie Doll. I couldn’t reattach it back on with tape to try to keep it growing and wilted dead. Other than that I think I’m progressing nicely and am hoping 2 more weeks before I switch to 12/12. Very happy with my Fruity Pebbles clone and hope that the weather will be warm enough that I can plant her outside, hopefully late next week. Also going to split my nutrient waterings to twice a week with 2 watering with half the recommended amount. They are getting thirstier (especially my Black Sugar) and might need to add a third watering to my week. Got my seedsman order yesterday as well and might try adding one of my Pineapple Express Auto or Blueberry Domina Auto (freebie) outside next month for a quick grow. You will see some of my attempts a Black Sugar clones throughout the pics but sadly they aren’t doing well, but for one. Oh well, I should be able to make a few more attempts with another trim I will doing before the 12/12 switch. So here are this week’s pics

Things are looking good way to stick with it . I have taken some clones for the first time a week ago you definitely need patience when waiting for them to root seems to be taking a looooooong time

Day 123/39 just a smallish update. My southern Ontario weather is sort of improving for the warmer side (minus midweek) So I made the decision to move my Fruity Pebbles clone outside for its full grow, and because it was starting to become root-bound. I have a clear plastic storage container that I will be covering her up for them cool days/night, bad elements or until she grows big&tall and can defend herself. I will also be planting some small dill plants around her as a natural pest repellent and because I fucking love the taste of dill. This should be interesting too see play out as my first outdoor grow and I might just try an auto in a month or so as well.

Day 43/127 Well the weather is pretty much as they said it was going to be. Wet and cool but only later in the week. Midweek actually turned out to be pretty good and my Fruity Pebbles is loving it. The tent is looking pretty good but I will admit that I will probably go back to mainlining my next grow. Being that I grow a lot of Indica strains, they get way too bushy for training. My first attempt showed a much nicer, cleaner and easier control to the grow. The only one I can’t wait to see work out is my Cinderella 99. The limbs are much more forgiving to the training and I can thank the higher sativa element in the genetics. You’ll see that as of today’s pic that she seems to be a teenager trying to rebel against her parents, so she fills her face full of metal piercings. By the end of the week I will decide if she is ready for the switch or if I will get one more week of veg to train them out a bit more. Hoping to switch because my supply is getting low from my first grow. So this week’s update pics

I think they are actually doing ok. I have all Black Sugar clones at the moment with 3 in the tent finally showing taproots and now sit in small soil containers, and a couple I don’t know if they will take. I also have the girls that are outside in one 7G grow bag. So 2 days ago, I decided to take them and place them in their own small plastic soil containers. I also recently bought some Pro Mix Fast Roots powder and dipped everyone in it before going into their container. I think I have 10-12 potential clones out there and 3 were just showing a root sprouting from the stem. I won’t be growing all of them but I might plant one in the backyard garden. If it can take off like my Fruity Pebbles clone, I would be a very happy man. That clone is just LOVING the great outdoors, and has grow I think half its height already. The plastic container/dome is working wonderfully in regulating the temps on the slightly warmer end with the cool nights and sadly days we are still encountering. Although it looks like spring is finally showing up for a good extended stay starting Wednesday onwards. Which is good because I don’t know how much longer the FP can fit under its dome protector. Plus I might need use a tomato cage with its 2 side branches taking off the way the are. Here are some pics of my clones progress

Day 134/50 Day 1 Flower I swear this is for real this time people. I made the switch to flower on the timer and made sure that the lights were plugged into the timer this time, and then I checked again. I have my lights pretty high over my plants because of my Black Sugar standing 33” right now. Thought I was far enough away and the little voice in my head told me to check on them a few hours later. Sure enough the lights were too close, causing some droop. So I raised them some more and dialled the intensity down a little. Noticed a small bit of stretch today, but expect a big jump tomorrow after today’s watering with nutrients. Added Tiger Bloom and Bud Candy to the mix, bought Overdrive for the later stages. Although I removed B-52 from the mix because it can hamper the early stages of flowering according to their site. Also put out a SCROG netting and have another one ready for when they are done stretching to hold up them fat juicy colas (hopefully) My clone is just LOVING the great outdoors and is easily double its size. The one limb that grew near the bottom is almost the same size now as the main stem. Next week is looking great temperature time, and thank god for that because it is close to outgrowing the container I protect her with. So with that I give you today’s pics and will probably start updating more with the beauty shots coming soon.

Day 137/57 Day 8 Flowering Well I haven’t killed them and I correctly set my timer, so small victory right there. Alright for real though, they are looking great. The Cinderella 99 is just taking off like a jack rabbit in growth everyday I go down to check on them. The other one that is starting to look nicer everyday is my Peyote Critical plant. Looked kind of disheveled when I made the switch but now has one of the best/even looking canopy. Roughly I think I had anywhere between 3-6 inches of growth on everyone but Black Sugar (she’s been done for weeks it seems) No real sites of flowering yet but Black Sugar might be getting close with new little growth appearing up and down the stems. Which will hopefully result in some nice fat looking colas in the end. I tend to think that the growth should be pretty substantial this week from various grow journals I check up on. So hopefully this will be the week I start making more frequent updates with a greater stretch happening and signs of flowering finally showing up. So today’s pics

Day 19 What’s this, another update post. Well yeah because I got too many pictures to share with everyone. So first is the tent and now for my attempted outdoor grow update. Spring has arrived in Southern Ontario starting today it seems. Looked like we were ready last week but still ran into some bad days about midway through with cold overnight temps and cool daytime highs. Fruity Pebbles still amazes me and is roughly 12-13 inches tall now, and has a little skunky aroma too. Then I had I think 11 clones of my Black Sugar plant, but I gave 2 away and have also planted 2 in the garden as well. Also have 2 Cinderella 99, Gelat.OG, and a Gorilla Zkittlez clone attempt happening as well. I think the one C99 has already rooted after just 6-7 days outside. Looks a bit taller, standing on its own and I think it also showing a bit of new growth. Gotta admit it about the C99 from Female Seeds I’m using, they grow like crazy without showing any signs of stress. Even the first attempt I tried would show rapid growth after training and lollipop of the stems. Just need to find a spot in the backyard for her to grow in and homes for everyone else. So here are my outside grow pics

Day 141/61 Day 12 Flower Well here is my midweek update. I went ahead yesterday and added a 2nd SCROG net to the tent to help in some LST of my Black Sugar plant. Is was sitting at around 35” compare to 13” of the next tallest plant I had. Kind of cast a small shadow on the Critical Orange Punch growing right next to it. So far it seems to be working great because it now has that extra bit of light it was missing and now light is coming through to the centre of my Black Sugar. Which is also starting to show some pistil action and looking like they will work into some very impressive fat colas. Plus as a bonus of the LST, I was able to lower my lights a lot closer to everyone else and they are loving it. Also looks like I had a nitrogen lock on my Fruity Pebbles, so I did a slight flush with just water and seems to of done the trick. So with that and a few burnt leaf tips. I’m going to dial back my nutrients to about half strength and do so for a few weeks I think, or until completion. So today’s pics and another post following this for my outdoor grow

Day 22 Everything seems to going nicely outside, but I did make a change from the last post. One of my Black Sugar clones wasn’t really looking good, and I had another that was forgotten in my tent but was well rooted in its container. So I plucked and replaced yesterday and seems to be taking nicely to it’s new spot. Also I didn’t have any roots showing but I took a Cinderella 99 attempted clone and planted it in one of my family’s vegetable garden beds on Saturday. Was looking bad and limpy yesterday but looking a hell of a lot better today. Also have a *fingers crossed* Gorilla Zkittlez cutting that I’m hoping will take as well. If it does, hehehehe I can’t wait to see what it could produce. Looks bad now but clap your hands and believe people. I will even call it Tinkerbell if it helps it live. Fruity Pebbles is just a thing of beauty. Done a bit of stretching in just a few days but we did have a huge soaker of a rainfall on Saturday. So here are today’s outdoor pics

Day 146/66 Day 16 Flowering Well they are stretching nicely and the buds are really starting to show, finally. My Black Domina is still staying short and bushy but the buds are stacking nicely, but it needs to be defoliated often for them to get the light penetration down there. I kind of let my plants get pretty dry soil wise and didn’t catch it until yesterday, but showed a very nice recovery today after a good watering with 2tbsps of Blackstrap Molasses and cal/mag into the mix. The smell I thought would of been a little stronger by now too. Maybe I’m just use to it now that I’ve gone nose blind like in them febreeze commercials. Sadly I have also started light duties back at work after my wrist surgery. Sucks not being able to check them when I want anymore, but I’m now surrounded by tons of people like me who are users/growers. Someone said he and his neighbour are growing it in their backyards, and had over 40 plants on the go. Plus I gave away 7 of my Black Sugar clones to some of them as well, and still have 3 in the yard looking for a home. So here are today’s tent pictures
