Alriiiiiiiighty then....check out this Frost Queen!!! She is sooooo close it hurts. Doesn't get any better than this...next time though, I'm investing in ladybugs @West Hippie @Carcass @sneekymofo

I saw the ladybug picture last night West and thought of you.

Ammy is leaning heavy...some of her bud sites are just roaring right now :nervous-guy::meditate:

Happy growing, happy sleeping, happy waking up, happy busting through the day. Hope everyone is happy wherever you are in your day today

:yummy:

Thank you for this as along with 48 hours of dark before harvest, this is a controversial topic I've been curious about. I will definitely look into the link and check out @InTheShed 'S signature link as soon as I have some uninterrupted time! Appreciate it @West Hippie

Your most welcome, I send everyone to it when they say flush

Great reads!!! Loved the actual abstract on Sheds page. So now that we are talking about this, I saw @Maritimer discussed a drought period prior to harvest. Have you heard or done anything like that yourself?

No more gnats!!! A few lingered about yesterday afternoon but they are officially morte.

After reading a bunch of no flush material earlier, I am changing my harvest strategy starting with 0 flush. After everything I saw, there is absolutely no clinical data that proves flushing actually works as the plant stores its nutrients in such a way that it is clearly futile to attempt to "flush" the remaining nutrients out.

In addition, there has been no clinical data to suggest that buds will have the "chemical taste" if not flushed. The initial flushing conversations apparently began in the 70s and 80s before we had marijuana specific nutrients.

The nutrients that used to be used on grows were previously not intended for marijuana cultivation, but more for tomatoes and the like (which process nutrients completely differently).

The chemical makeups in older, non-cannabis nutrient blends were not conducive to proper nutrient intake and digestion. Hence why we used to flush way back when and why the concept is still heavily debated as it was a staple many years ago.

God help me for not presenting this information with the same amount of class as @InTheShed or any of the scientists conducting these experiments, but I hope that I gave a relatively decent synopsis.

With that said, here's Ammy today. I'll be checking her trichs over the weekend and we may have a mid/end of week harvest depending upon what manifests over the next few days.

Thanks for everyone's support and direction. It is GREATLY appreciated! :thanks::reading420magazine::nerd-with-glasses::peace:

I’m not in soil , but trying to figure out what will work in DWC to cause a drought ???

I've been looking and every notable entry refers to soil. I saw a few threads about imitating drought in DWC but nothing substantial came out of those discussions. Makes me wonder...I'm sure there's a way to trick em

Hey Krissi! Not to be too scientific about it, that's not the reason we can't flush nutrients from the cannabis flowers. Since the beginning of time (no matter what they've been eating) the flowers of the plant take up nutrients but don't release them during times of nutrient stress. Never have, never will. Flushing for taste started out as guesswork and made its way into bro-science. It's a complete myth from a horticultural standpoint.

By the way, your flowers are frosty AF!

You see that's why you're you and I'm me. One day I hope to have accumulated at least half the knowledge in this field as you have Shed...and thanks to West, as always, for leading me to the right people for the right things. As for the flowers...they be sticky icky too my friend. I'm itching to get her cured but not wanting to stop growing her.

I honestly get a tear in my eye when I see her now. These are the bittersweet days of grows. She has hit me harder than any other.

I had been going through a lot of things when I seeded her and have continued to endure some challenges throughout her grow. She has been a silver lining for me on a cloudy sky. Always made me happy to see her grow, no matter what was going on.

I firmly believe the energy within any living thing never dies and it is distributed somewhere else it is drawn to and needed and the cycle continues.

Ammy will always be an energy around me and a catalyst for things to come.

Buona Notte Tutti

Total difference in flush and no flush. Tried both ways. Science is like people always changing lol.
Maybee your method needs no flush. I see this with people that water only kinda scratches my head when they say no flush.

Just dropping the trichome pics from today of this particular golden nugget. Had the lights off with the loupe light on, made things easier... We got a little bit of everything going on now, mostly milky goodness.. I'll be by again later :peace::meditate:

Hey @sneekymofo

Caught a bunch of flies the last few days....
Just so you know...they do catch flies, apparently

Well here she is. I don't know what to say about her today other than, she smells amaaaaaazing and if there is a bud site, she's leaning fierce...needless to say she is leaning every which way she can

I measured her for the last time-
43" wide
48" tall

LOVE HER SO MUCH :circle-of-love:

Trich check again Monday...possible harvest Wednesday or over next weekend, depending on what I see.

Did a couple pics with the flash. Idk how I liked them coming out but I figured I'd try.

Appreciate you coming over :thanks:

One of Ammy’s two main has officially fallen over at about 90 degrees. Wondering if the other side will do the same.

Nothing else for tonight on her. Probably won't see her until tomorrow evening.

Happy growing!!
