2nd Grow All Clones: Mine & Purchased

low I noticed when I zipped her up without the vents flaps open that it was sucking the tent in super tight
This is exactly what you want. It's good to have that negative pressure on the inside. Moreso if you are concerned about odors. With a carbon filter and negative air pressure inside the tent your smells are contained. You can bounce a dime off mine :)

The hose dangling in the top left of the tent... is that going or coming from anywhere? Is it doing anything in otherwords?

Another safety tip is run a small piece of duct on the intake side of that fan. You don't want to have you fingers or hair get near there.
I use an 8" piece of duct at the bottom of my tent as my passive intake. It's about 3' long and I stuff some filter material in there to keep out debris and bugs. I don't use any makeup air fan such as the 4" you mentioned. However, if you found what works for you then don't change anything.

Thank you for explaining all that to me! I was worried I was sucking all the oxygen out of the air when the tent sucked in like that
The duct up top is coming from an additional 4” inline fan for more intake. I also have a 4” inline fan on the bottom for intake. Now that I know negative pressure is good then I can calm my butt down and keep it like it was prior to me messing with it after putting in just the 6” exhaust. I hope my rambling made sense lol . I was planning on adding some ducting to that one inside for sure cuz I do have long hair and knowing me it would happen! I was just trying to situate everything in a hurry before the lights shut off. Thanks again for your help and tips on getting things on point.

I'll try and get some pics of what mine looks like. Next time your budget allows (no rush), grab a small section of 8" for the lower intake. 6" is fine as it looks like you have plenty. The 4" is a little small when using a 6" exhaust.
Thanks I really appreciate ya! I was planning on getting a second 6” inline fan for the bottom intake next month. Should I get the 8” instead for the bottom intake? I was actually contemplating putting some pantyhose over the intake to keep the bad things out. I was originally supposed to be in the basement, I already had the room framed out and I had put up most of the Sheetrock but then hit a stall point because I can build the room but cannot do electricity and my man said he would get it squared away for me but this was back in April so I’ve pretty much realized basement isn’t happening. That’s the only reason I didn’t do a lot of research on the tents, but I should have done more research anyway for just Incase or in my case reality.
Thanks again :slide:

No, no no no :)
You don't need any fans for the bottom. You'll just put a piece of 8" duct inside the lowest 8" opening and cinch the ties closed. Pantyhose over the end is perfect!! The reason for the hose is so the light doesn't get in and you dont have to open the passive windows. Most tents have two 8" lower openings, some just one. I only use one and keep the other side closed. Like I said there is nothing wrong with your tent sucking in. Totally normal.

Lol  I totally get it now! I was kinda thinking you were saying that but then thought I was thinking wrong:laugh: i thought I had to force air in didn’t know I didn’t need a fan. But now it completely makes sense.
Thanks again so very much!
:thanks::slide:

OK, so my fan is mounted outside the tent for space and to reduce heat. Typically the hose you want going into the very top of the tent, but you'll see mine is at the high side of the tent. I can't access the top of my tent for celing height restrictions. The exhaust hose you see hanging has a blue meshie filter thingie in it.

This is the inlet hose, about 2' long. It has a blue meshie filter in as well. Make sure you clean the pantyhose regularly as it will block up. Check it daily until you find it needs cleaning. Then once you know how long it takes you can check weekly or whatever.

:Rasta:

On another note, I received those Powerplant beans I mentioned earlier. They were a freebie from one of the sponsors here and I can't wait to get them going. So ya it'll be good to compare them against yours.

Looking killer CC, I love the way you defoiled your girl's.

30 days from 12/12 flip and Mid-flower day 9. The girls are looking good, they got a watering yesterday and they are needing fluids every 2 days possibly could stretch to 3 days. Temps and Humidity has been on point right now 25.9*C 44% RH. Air movement is going great with all the girls getting plenty of movement from indirect movement. (If that made sense) they are getting super frosty haven’t been able to really capture that on my cell camera yet.

Great looking ladies Candy!
Thank you! I kinda wish I could have vegged and trained the front two a little longer but they are kicking right along so I’ll take it. It’s been a great learning experience.

I'm always learning as I go I'm on my 5th consecutive run of plants and there is things with every grow that I have learned or want to improve on. The more you do it the easier it will come and there is plenty of fun along the way.
