2nd Grow All Clones: Mine & Purchased

Made some adjustments and was able to get my humidifier in the tent but I think it needs a new filter cuz it really hasn’t done crap since this morning so off to dreaded Wal-Mart I shall go. I also switched my 1200 watt light out and put in my 1000 watt light instead hoping this will help some until payday. Temps high today so far has been 28.4*C and Humidity has been averaging 46-48% . Hoping the new filter I am gonna put in the humidifier will help as it usually does cuz it’s a filter eating machine like doesn’t even last a week before it wants a new one.
The girls thankfully are still looking happy and healthy!

I'm curious about the filter. Is it plastic and has some white filter media in it? Sort of has some slots? If I recall this only prevents the white stuff(minerals if I recall) from getting all over the place. I bought some media from home depot and was able to crack the plastic slots so i could remove the old media and put some new stuff in. Then clicked the housing back into the humidifier.

This is what I’ve got. I probably need to get a better one it’s just a cheapo from Walmart

There's nothing wrong if it works :)
My only suggestion would be to work out how much you are paying in filter replacements as opposed to getting a small unit that uses no filters.
The last thing I want you to do is keep dishing out money. I use this unit in my 4x4x7 and it works great. I do need to use a controller with it so I can maintain better control of the rh but it's not required. I can get info on that for you and I believe is around 50.00.
Again, we work with what we have but if your filters are costing 10-20 bux a pop you can see how fast that adds up based on the frequency of change. I fill it up about once every two days depending on how dry it is.

You rock man! Thank you! The filters cost me $4/week so that’s $16 plus a month sometimes don’t last a week so when it comes down to it sounds like I’ll be better off in the long run getting something better and it will keep me from having to run to the store all the time for filters.

Glad I could help. Keep in mind before you make the purchase that this does not shut off at a preset value. In otherwords it's a continuous run. That's normally fine when lights are on, but when the lights go off you would have to tuen it off or you'll have a rain forest in your tent. I know
So plan accordingly. If you live in the US chances are things are much cheaper than here in Canada. Below is a pic of the controller that I and many others use to control that or any other humidifier. You set the controller and plug the humidifier into the controller plug.

So any cool mist humidifier will work and any RH controller will work. You want a humidifier that doesn't need to be turned on with a button everytime the unit turns off or the controller/humidifier combination will not function correctly. The one above has a on/off dial and as soon as the power from the rh controller turns on the humidifier turns on, if that makes any sense.

Have a good night!

This is one that I was looking at mostly because of the reviews.

Nice looking plants I'll sub in. Mr. S has nailed it as far as the humidifier. I have a similar one it's a ultrasonic humidifier it produces a fine mist works well and no filters to replace. I can attest to the inkbird controllers I have the temp controller it works great set your temp and forget it keeps it perfect.

Hiya Candy... yes that will work just fine as N4 mentioned.

Thanks for all the help! I did take the carbon filter off the fan to see if that would help with temps and the girls needed a watering so I did that too and so far that’s seeming too help a lil the high today so far has been up above the net 27.4*C RH 63% (down to 27.3*C RH 50% now) below the net high 79*F RH 65% (down to 77*F RH 57% right now). I don’t really need the carbon filter anyways was just trying make the house not so strong with the smell. (Although that Fruit Loops I recently harvested I wish I could have made a candle outta her sweet smell) While not even close to perfect yet it’s a step in the right direction at least.

Ya I don't use a carbon filter either since it's legal where I am. I love the smell wafting around the house. Removing that will definately help because you've increased you cfm by about 25%.
I do too! It’s my man that I was trying to appease but I explained I had to soooo off it’s staying! Whoop whoop!
:passitleft: :Namaste:

lol, nice job candy! It's give and take here so if I want something I first have to think what the misses needs :)
Lol that sounds fair! I clean the house, cook, do laundry, dishes, cater to whims, listen to the same stories , do the grocery shopping and buying so I think I deserve a lil Cannabis garden to love and take care of properly :ganjamon: :slide:
