2016 All B.I.D. Genetics Grow

:yahoo::slide:Really Big Friday UPDATE!:slide::yahoo:
A lot happening here at the Casa de Hozona, so I decided because there was so much happening I would move the only non-BID plant to its own journal HERE and in my signature also.
That being said, a very small glitch. The little runt HYBID I transplanted outside was pulled up by its roots by a bird. No biggie! (pun intended)
Now onto the grow starting inside first.

I currently have three each of P-ROC, HYBID, and K-ROC in containers with the ones in Solo cups getting moved to juice containers as soon as more juice is consumed :cheesygrinsmiley:

Next is my last little P-ROC clone. As stated before, not sure what sex since it is from last group of seeds I sprouted. So far I have had only one male so I will keep my fingers crossed.

Next up is my smallest HYBID clone in Aero that replaced the one I put outside

Another slightly larger HYBID clone

Then My last two plants I sprouted from seed, both P-ROC

This is the P-ROC the clone in cloner came from

And how about some roots?

After checking the PH Wednesday I adjusted the PH. It was at 4.5-5.0. It is now at 6.0
I use this chart for reference
pH_chart726.jpg

That is pretty much it for indoors
All got a helping of nutes yesterday prior to PH adjustment.

AND NOW OUTDOORS WE GO! :goof:
Checked soil PH, all three planters within proper range.:cheesygrinsmiley:
First the runt HYBID in the raised planter. She gets the least light (Close-up inserted)

The P-ROC in the same planter. Both were put outside on February 24 (Close-up inserted)

The West Wall Planter has two strains. The pictures include close-ups inserted. All three were transplanted outside 3/19, so I guess you could say 28 days since flip/transplant outdoors. :cheesygrinsmiley:

The North Wall Planter has two P-ROC plants at the present time. This plant has been outside since 3/17. 30 days since flip/transplant outdoors.

All the outdoor girls got their "poop soup" and Tiger Bloom on Wednesday and MOAB (Mother Of All Bud) yesterday. I was asked earlier when these would be finishing and other than the runt HYBID I am thinking 3 to 4 more weeks :cheesygrinsmiley: Then 9 get transplanted outside.:yahoo: Also put my 2 "free" beans from Herbies in a damp towel on Wednesday. No taproot yet. :bitingnails:
Whew! I'm exhausted and my fingers are numb from typing/editing

Good choice on nutes, but I stopped using PH up/down, my TDS meter showed high PPM when adding up or down. I use tiger bloom for down and pro tekt for up. TDS stays lower and your adding food not mobile ions which your plants can't use.

Cheers

I thought I made some little clones in my time, but wow.
:thumb:
I was heavily medicated when I took it, I was cleaning up the bottom of the largest P-ROC in Aero. Won't know its sex for a while:hmmmm:

Those meters can either be really good or really bad. When I did an entire grow in one form of hydro or another I came to the realization that hydro is a lot more work than soil, so back to soil I went! I do like the handiness of aeroponics and clones can go in either.:cheesygrinsmiley: Thanks for stopping in Mr Miller!

I'm soil too, but adopted a hydro approach to feeding. All looks well in you grow so keep up what your doing.

Cheers

I love your veg it looks so similar to mine... I as well realized hydro was so much more effort but really still do it just switched to Coco. What a difference. It seems to give me the best of both worlds. Clean slate to paint as I like and safety of soil. It just works for me is all... Looking great Hoz keep it up! you totally make me want to throw some plants outdoors...

Do you keep your PH probe moist? Typically the phrase is "if it dries, it dies". I just bought some potassium chloride to make the proper storage solution. Put a few ML in the cap and store it vertically.
Yep, $100 for blue lab PH pen, KCL works great but water works too.

Cheers

HL, No more meters, I just take a sample of soil, put it in the test chamber with ro water,a little capsule, shake it up and let it sit. Check results later. It works for me in soil. In Hydro I use the little kit GH makes. It is sometimes bundled with PH up & down solutions.

Thanks FE! I am going to give coco a try after this year's outdoor growing is done. BID loved it and had great results. Having plants outdoors on a drip is very convenient and the light source is FREE! You still have to do some monitoring for pests and do a little defoliation now and then, but so easy. Thanks for stopping by to look at my grow! :cheesygrinsmiley:
Epic update HOZ :rollit:
I don't use a ph tester anymore, I have 2 but I grow in biobizz soil and it's buffered to correct ranges. It turned out that ph adjustments, over time, was killing my ladies. Not had a deficiency since :thumb:
So right MrA! So many of us, including me, tend to overdo it whether it is lighting, nutes, or whatever. Sometimes simpler is better! Thanks for dropping in! :cheesygrinsmiley:

:yikes:

And this is why we wash our buds :thumb:
Yessir! I LIKE YOUR STYLE!! :thumb:
Hey Hoz! I was wondering if those insects are from an outdoor plant or not?
Also what do you mean by saying "bud washing"?
If you saw how and where I grow you would have to say kinda outside. My veg clone area is in an outdoor utility (washer/dryer and storage) room. I did finish that plant indoors and suspect those were some leaf hoppers. The Pyrethium (which is an organic pest killer) did its job, Bud Washing would have gotten rid of them after harvest. HERE is a link to Doc Buds method. Mr Am4zin does a slight modification of that method I think. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I absolutely love bud washing. I'm a convert!

Great updates Hoz! I see your plants are packing on the frost now.

Mmmmm bugs, I mean buds

This is the way we wash our buds, wash our buds, wash our buds
This is the way we wash our buds so early in the morning. . . . er afternoon. . . feck that, evening.

Pot smokers around here aren't early risers. Hell, even our dispensaries are open at the crack of noon, and some of the bud tenders are saying, "It's too early for me."

My first grow I bud washed and the whole grow was bad.. I didnt even bud wash 100% right and there was no question it made a difference. The buds I had not washed showed a visual difference and tasted different (hard to make crap taste better though.). That being said I have not done it since and that is out of my own laziness. But the topic back here on this thread and I will be doing it again soon. There was no question of it's benefits to me and preferred clean buds. Another project to work on ;)

:peace:

Wow, I have missed a lot! Looks awesome over there! You are really doing well inside and out.

Always something happening here at La Casa de Hozona as there is at your Casa! :cheesygrinsmiley:

Always something to make our end product better!
