that jungle looks better every time
looking awesome granny

(((((blacken))))) Great to see ya honey! :thankyou:
Nice grow! Those girls look very healthy! I am going to hang around to see the buds on this one!

:welcome: mr-natural Thank you so much for your wonderful comments, honey! Will love seein' ya be a part of my 420 family! It's gonna be a bit for my buds to grow, but if ya wanna check out HUGE bud pics, start with McBudz grows (linked in his signature)... it'll make yer mouth water.

wow granny possibly 29 females? Holy moly.. Congrats. I forget, how many lights do you have for this?

(((((McBudz))))) Thanks honey... and WOW is right! I am feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of it. This will be a major challenge in keeping up.

I have two 1000w lights in the flower room, spaced about 8 feet apart. Their light overlaps each other in the central area of the grow area, giving me an additional area that gets better light than the edge normally would.

I calculated early on and figured if each light covers an 8'x8' area, this is 64square feet with one light. If I allowed a 2'x2' area for each plant (4 square feet per plant), I could fit 16 plants under each light, total of 32 plants maximum. However, the biggest of the first gals were pretty large when I put them to flower and thus far, they have had a bit more than a 2'x2' area each. But plants like the Blueberry and Medijuana have also grown tall, but are not as wide and don't take up near the space the sativa dominent strains are taking up.

My clone thoughts (if ya have any advice, it's always welcome!)...

I have clones that are a bit too early for when this cycle is harvested (would be monsters). Within this next couple weeks I wanted to SOG some Medijuana and Blueberry with this first cycle of plants (5 plants per container - 1 container of each strain)... but I am just going to have to take it day by day now and see if they would even fit.

Mainly I began cloning (6 strains) when I did in case I had a lot of males (to fill in the flower room), and just to see how it would go and grow. I will keep the best of each strain for moms to clone from in this next month. I figure I have time for 2 cycles of all strains. and then maybe I can start to flower a few in the veg room for a final finish of my favorite moms.

I need to start clones from now and weekly for the next 4 weeks so that I have the right size plants to replace this first cycle. I will be harvesting this cycle of plants thru-out December and into the first week of January. Thus, the clones I take now would have 6 weeks to veg and they would replace the first of this cycle's plants to be harvested... and so on...

But before I clone I need to really *think* about what strains I want more of and what strains I can do with less of. Wish I could do a smoke test of each before making this decision! However, the way they smell and grow are giving me strong indications of some strains I definitely want more of than others.

So much to think about!!! YES - WHAT A PROBLEM!!! LOVE IT!!!

love the details in the updates. its amazing. the time your taking is great! I cant wait to see a couple weeks from now!!

(((((mesrone))))) Thank you, honey! I can't wait either - the buds on the White Widow and Thai Tanic filled out more just from yesterday to today! Now I'm watchin' for snowy trichs... not here yet, but I just know it will be snowing a little pretty soon... never thought I'd say this, but I WANT A BLIZZARD! :yummy:

Great looking girls, will be here waiting for my granny hugs.

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((siscokid)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Green to help ya grow lot's of green!!! Either that, or I hugged ya so hard ya turned green!! Luv ya honey! :rasta:

Nice looking room, setup, and of course plants! I'm looking forward to the day I have that much space to work with.

:welcome: Anubis420! And thank you for your wonderful comments! I think I am probably NOT the norm for space and if I could grow all the time I would NOT be using this much space. I have a limited time to grow (thru end of March) and then I will be done. So I needed to grow as much for myself as I could in that time frame, thus the size of the grow area and the increased number of strains. Good to see ya honey!

I will work for buds granny!:grinjoint:
LOL! Hey ((((rollersmoker)))) honey! Your hired! Pack yer bags cuz when it starts it will be continuous for quite some time!

Honey you need some plant movers you know the little carts w/wheels on em it would help sooooo much save a lot of time juggling things around i bet it would !!!!!!!!!!!!
Goodluck !!!

:welcome: fluroman!!! Great to see you! Yes, those carts would have been great early on (did have rolling containers they were in). But now my work area is pretty much solid plants and there isn't any room for the cart (I'd have to move plants to get a cart in!). What I need is a floor that turns! thank for visiting honey!

Lost for words Granny. Wow. First grow? Wow. Wow.

((((((((((OldSkoool)))))))))) Hi honey! How's the snow at yer house? Was lookin' good last time I was there! WOW is RIGHT. And yes, first grow. I tried putting plants outside about 3 decades ago... started them, got them sexed (this is why I know pre-flowers) and planted the gals... then they grew to 10' tall and in the fall they were just starting to bud when everything else turned brown. Then they were WAY obvious and visible then from the road... so I had to cut them down without a harvest. I don't think they would have had time to finish anyway.

Well, staff called while I was writing this and I have a ton of things to do, so that's it for today! Everyone take care and go green!!!

You deserve it. Your plan is coming true.:allgood:
A great plan that you put in action:goodjob:

I do have one question Sweetie. Have you thought to next march after all the harvests and drying and curing is done. How are gonna keep track all the different strains and flavors?:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:
Love ya Granny:grinjoint:

Thank you for the welcome. I will check out McBudz's grow. So...if I read this correctly....each 1K light covers an 8' x 8' area? Or the two lights together cover a 8'x8' area? I've never covered an 8'x8' area with just one 1K light. I will be following closely to see how well it works out, how the buds fatten up, and what kind of yield you get. That would be....what....15 watts per square foot? I've always used a 1k for a 4 x 4 or 5x5 area. 4x4 would put you at about 62w per square ft. and 5x5 would be 40w I think. I'm very interested to see how this works out for you. If it works good for you....maybe I will expand my area. :)

Hey Mr-natural! Good to see ya again!:rasta:

What I read about 1K lights was that ONE covered an 8'x8' area, expanded out to 12'x12' max area. The light needed to be 2' to 4' from the top of the plants. Thus, each light should cover an 8'x8' area itself - two lights should cover 16'x8'. I'm a newbie so I sure could be wrong about what a 1000w covers (but that's what my research said)... I guess we'll find out shortly!

The plants seem to be doing fine thus far and buds are comin' on the first group real good. Six of the first 9 that I sent to flower were bigger than the remainder. I was trying to hold off until all were ready so I kept tying down their new secondary growth. Thus, I expect yield on those plants to possibly be higher than anything else. I also put plants in to flower with and without LST and at different heights, so I'm going to see how much difference those things make on yield.

What kind of area do you cover with a 1k? Anyone else ever used a 1000w (or two)???

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((OMM))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

:thankyou: honey. LOL - I'm more worried about how I'm gonna keep up with all of it once harvest starts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Harvest, water, LST and keep preparing the second (last) cycle of plants, rearrange, check drying harvests so no mold... pray the smell doesn't go out of control... AND... It'll be the holidays - a super busy time already with family and get-togethers... and my business kicks off it's busy season in December and gets increasingly busy thru June. 70% of my business goes thru in this time. So, everything else in life will be chaotic too!!!!

WHAT WAS I THINKING??????? :smokin2::hmmmm: :hmmm:  :phew::yikes:

I've always used 1K to cover 4'x4' or 5'x5'. I've never done a bigger area. Those sizes were what I was taught...but I am a long way from being an expert on it. That's why your grow is so interesting to me. I'm rooting for you!! Then maybe I can go to a bigger area too!!!

Looking incredible Granny....:nicethread:....:goodjob: one thing i noticed was you saying that this plant didn't look happy after you started LST
Sept25-SN10-LST_FirstString.JPG

the very bottom where you have it tied off... should only be to secure stem so it don't move when you pull plant/tie down opposite way(higher up). your LST looks awesome and only thing i could see that would make that plant unhappy would be tearing root pulling bottom stem
to see what i mean check out LST i made ...hope it helps cause your doing great with LST....just noticed that one issue that will surely stress out your plants :passitleft: LST

PitViper puts 2 1K lights on moving rails..

I'm sorry Ganny, I just can't stop laughing at your answer. I fell terrible but you just put everything in such a way that it was hilarious. I could just imagine if I had to face all that. :loopy:

Maybe there was one little i-tty bitty mistake in the plan:ganjamon:

I have faith in you Granny. You'll handle it. (somehow):allgood::clap:

Think I may have over medicated tonight.:smokin2:
