1st Hydro - LED Grow With Crop King White Widow From Seed

I had to look up the word turgidity. lol I assume that you mean it as an adjective describing swelling? That would be the swelling of the stem or leaves or both?
Thanks for the compliments, encouragement, and teaching me a new word! :) Though in fairness, unless I suddenly get a hankering to start reading 18th and 19th century literature, I doubt that I will be using that word. :)

Well I take that back. It seems the word would have applications in botany and medicine.

A couple of more pics I just took. I went in there and did some cropping and tucking. The plants bounce back from this in less than a day but I am really trying to open up the interiors.

Update time.
The girls are getting very big. At least 10% growth per day. I am not kidding. 4 of them are 12" tall and 15"+ wide. All are now touching the screen or have tops over the screen. I will be bending the tops back down under it. The screen is ~35% filled. Tut2 was the last plant I was waiting on to pull clones from. She now has clone sites over 4 inches long with 3 sets of leaves. So I am on track for the flip this weekend. I will pull clones tomorrow. This will give the girls about 5 days to recover before flipping on Sunday. I am getting very excited about it.

I am a little concerned about the girls. The leaves look a little funny. The PPM and pH were 930 and 5.8 on Sunday. Yesterday they were 840 and 6.3. I added 50mL of Calmag yesterday morning. This morning the PPM and pH were 1010 and 6.4. So I added 1 gal of plain water. I will take some reading this afternoon. I am thinking that I will have to lower the pH manually. I am using AN pH perfect nutes, but I am concerned that I am locked out because of pH. If anyone has an opinion I would really appreciate it. They are still growing well. I am just a little confused about the look of the leaves.

Here they are starting with the Tuts, then the PPP, and last the WW all are in numerical order. I followed it up with group shots.

Robust looking plants now man! Depending on how much they stretch you are probably right about flipping them soon. I tend to veg longer than I should most times.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. I really appreciate the encouragement.

Vlad, I will continue to tweak. :) I have to find they optimum, or at least I want to. Yeah I found the "it works" but now is all about refinement. I want the next one to be so much better.

OMU, I do not doubt what you said about doubling my yield if I go to mid November. I just can not wait that long. They have really picked up the pace an growth. Seriously since last Friday, they have probably tripled their footprint. I think another 5 days and they will double again. Well maybe not that much, but at least 50% of the screen will be filled with tops. The next veg is also for 2 months but I believe the plants will be much bigger than these.

Sciguy, I am so excited to see them in flower. Believe it or not I was super excited just to be germinating the seeds successfully and then the first three weeks of veg. It was all new to me and a lot of fun to watch. Now the veg excitement is pretty much gone. More of an exercise in control and fine tuning at this point. Getting a fine touch with my nute line and my system with these strains. Now flower is the next new and exciting phase of the grow. I am really curious to see which strains grow the fastest, tallest, and well everything else. :)
I am also looking forward to seeing the "Icing" part of the grow. :)

So I went back to check on the breeders information for each of the strains to refresh myself with what to expect in the next few weeks. I made a mistake on the PPP. It is Sativa dominate. It is also expected to grow to 1.3 - 1.5 meters. That may be a problem. I already planed on putting up a second screen. I may need it to even out the canopy if the PPP gets ridiculously bigger than the other two strains. I am actually thinking about rearranging my tent so that the four PPP are under one light and have the WW and Tuts under another. I am also thinking about adding a third light. The 350xml is supposed to have a 4.5 x 4.5 footprint which means 2 lights should be more than enough for my space. However no matter where I put the lights I have dark areas on the edges of the tent. I can raise the lights and that gives me a wider space but then I am worried about penetration of the canopy. Right now I know that the light is getting through the canopy all the way down to the bucket. But if I raise the lights I may have issues with growth. This is something I am struggling with right now. Another light is expensive, but with out it will I lose out on a lot of bud? Do I just need to raise the light and trust the light to do as it says? I will be watching and just see.

I am sorry about this long rambling post guys. Did not start out that way. Just a few things about the grow that I am thinking about. I do not just want to "get a harvest" I also want to have a phenomenal grow! :) lol

Thanks for your advice Sciguy. I am still worried a bit about the penetration. As I spread the plant and the lower growth gets direct or near direct light, they explode in growth. Seriously I have seen some of the little leaf sets get some light and shoot up 2 inches in a day. I am watching the branches grow very quickly that are just under the canopy and that is great also. Really want them to get as much structure built up before the flip. I think I will raise the lights up 2' on Sunday. That should give me the 4 x 4 foot print that I am looking for. It will also give the plants plenty of room (about 3') to grow into. Ideally I will just be using the second screen to keep the branches spread out so each plant will use up as much real estate as possible. Would love to get a square meter out of each of them. :)

Update time.
The girls look good. I am really happy that I can keep saying that. They are getting taller and bushier. All the plants but one have a top above the screen. Most have multiple tops over the screen. Also there are 35 squares per screen (by the way the squares are 5"). The screen on the right has 16 squares filled with at least one top. The Screen on the left has 19 squares with at least one top. So I have almost hit the 50% goal in the screens. I would like to see them get to the 80%. I think they will get close but we will see.
The PPM and pH readings were confusing this morning. My PPM is 1030 and the pH is 5.8. I did not add anything yesterday. My readings yesterday were 934 and 6.2 so I am not sure what is going on there. I am glad the pH came down a bit as that should help with the uptake of some more nutes. But why would the PPM go up? The res temp is steady at 68 f. I think it is possible that the plants are drinking a good bit of water and this is making the system more concentrated. I looked at the water level and was not sure if I could add another gal. I think I will try to add it later and see what I see.
I only took group pics this morning. It is getting very hard to do individual pics. The plants are too big to fit into one shot. So just to make it easier on me to upload I think I will be taking group shots from now on unless there is something that I would like to bring attention to. Well here they are. Enjoy and have a great day guys.

Oh, before I forget, I raised the lights to get a bigger foot print. Several people suggested doing that so I decided to listen to good advice when given. :) Thanks to everyone that is watching and advising. I really appreciate you guys. :Namaste:

Quick update.
I added a gal of water this morning. I just checked my PPM's and pH. Remeber that this morning the PPM was high but the pH was great. So now the PPM is 928 and the pH is ~5.7. So it must have been that the plants had been transpiring a lot of water and that was causing the PPM to rise. Just a quick observation about the plants. They are looking great! The crumpled up look is getting so much smoother looking on the leaves and the green is really deep and dark green. I will take pics this evening. I just can not believe how great the look and smell right now. I thought they looked good before, just a little rough in the leaves. Now, well they look great.

Ok so tomorrow I will build the cloner. I will order a bigger tent tomorrow as well. I think I will take the clones tomorrow. This will give them about 4 whole days to recover from the clone pulling. There appears to be no deficiencies and very good growth so now seems like a perfect time to take the clones. I have to say that I am getting pretty pumped about flipping this weekend. I really hope to get a good bit more of that screen filled in between now and then. I would like to do a comparison from 2 weeks ago. I thought that I had just about killed my plants 2 weeks ago. They were kinda small and I was stressing the hell out of them. OMU stepped in and settled me down and the plants have been on turbo since then. Seriously they look like they may be 5 times the size they were from then. So here we go.
