1st Grow - Ebb-N-Grow : Afghan Kush, White Widow, Bag Seed!

LowRyder Pictures

7 Weeks last night. As I mentioned, please excuse some of these pictures with the nute burn. I mentioned in a previous post that when I did the res change, PPM was at 3586! Yeah really. Caught it fairly early and they're starting to recover.

Vertical and Lateral growth have pretty much stopped. Plants haven't gotten any taller then the ~23" each of them stand, same for the outward growth. Just basically bud filling!

For 400watts, I'd say these are preforming really nice, makes me wonder what they could do under a thousand? :cheesygrinsmiley:

Anyway enough dribble, here's the goods....

SF, thanks for the updates. Plants look good. I forget, which strain exactly, LowRyder, LowRyder 2, or a cross with something else? Are they Joint Doctor Breed from Attitude?
Peace Brother.

Hey Stinky McBudz, would you have recommended something higher in wattage for those Lowryders in that space size? I have a similar size room 44" x 36" and was planing a 400W, my initial thought was a 600W would be overkill. What is your opinion?

I dont think a 600 is ever over kill. If you can cool it I'd go with it.

Thanks Wheel for that addition. Always great to have you as another set of eyes. Sometimes it's hard to see the entire picture.

I think having the 1000 on a light mover helped a bit, additionally, when I move things to the larger room, I'm thinking about adding another 1000 possibly even for the same amount of plants each grow.

I don't really need to max out the e-n-g setup, it's really just myself and a buddy I'm growing for, that and to say yeah, I've done that. Kind of something for my "bucket" list.

Again, thanks again for the valuable input Wheel!

Sf
yeah, I'm totally loving the light mover, It's kickin ass in my 4x8 tent, although maybe i should have went with a 4' mover instead of 6'. But I could never cover that space w/o it. I'm sure it helped your impressive first yield.

I wish I could run 2kw, just not an option for my old school electrical, esp in the summer when I have to run AC. . .

may your "B" list be long my friend.

This is truly oldskool. The last person I saw dry like that was RIP Dirtfarmer with his giants. :bravo:

seriously. . . the first book i read on MJ, when the interweb was still young, said that you should leave the fans on so they can suck out the water and dry slower which would make a better smoke.

But I find it a bigger pain in the ass to do it dry, so i always do it right away. cuts dry time, but i'm cool with that, they still cure smooth enough to my taste.

Those are some big mamma jammas. ;) happy grow lucky bro.

3586 ppm..... Damn. Plants thought you had decided to go back to dirt...

Thanks for the LowRyder pics. I've become interested in autos because of the room problems with the RainForest, and unless yours just turn out lousy, I'm going to try some. Looking forward to the rest of the grow.

It was pretty thick bro. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Thanks man. If these do well, some nice icing on the cake. Wasn't expecting much when I started, but becoming more interested as time goes on.

Thanks B!

Stink, your journal is becoming a lot like PV's, if I miss a couple of daze I have pages and pages to read to catch up.
It all looks fantastic :thumb:
What's goin in the E-N-G next?

Definitely slowing down here.

Thinking about an e-n-f table just for the next grow, with an 8 light floro fixture from HTG. I'm "nervous" about running the HPS/MH lights during the Summer months....just got the electric bill which obviously doesn't include any Air Conditioning yet. Not nervous about LE so much, but the $$$ spent for a personal grow. Or I might just do 4 buckets on the next run. I've got Super Lemon Haze seeds that I'd like to try, so something on the near horizon is a must.

This is the worst part of the grow that people "neglect" to mention.

The Cleanup!

I'm waiting for you bro!!!

Nice pics ya got there SF, think I will be ordering some of those auto strains...quite a bit to choose from now. Good think you caught that high ppm, damn.

Thanks man. I'm reserving any judgment until we can "sample" the product.

Update 5/11/10

So I'm off to jar the stash for proper curing. I'll let you guys know the weight of the snipped and dried harvest so we can calculate the shrink. The Kush is nice and dry and the WW and Clone probably have another day or two. Drying room has been a steady 60% RH and it's helped for a slow and consistent dry period.

Almost at 8 weeks on the Ryder's, Thursday, so we'll have another update later in the week.

Have a great day!

very nice job sf. you are gonna have a killer stash, so it's always cool to cool down for a while. when you're not growing mersh, who care about turnover rate. you got stash, kick back and enjoy the summer.

do you have a flood table already? if not, why drop the cash? anyways IMO this CAP system is superior to a table in a few ways, but not knocking EnF tables. Having separate rooting zones in specific has many advantages just by itself.

Just get a smaller res if you only want to run a few plants, and you can put the buckets anywhere as long as you put the controller at the same level.

Hi Again Stink Just still watching this amazing first time grow. Like some one said you have a stash now, so relax an enjoy. However now you have the chance to just grow the strains you have always wanted to try. That's a nice place to be.....:ganjamon::ganjamon::ganjamon::ganjamon:
