1st Grow: Blue Dream

My friend is Smurfette dry now?
Not yet. I will pull them out today and check them again. But it will likely be at least through Wednesday. That will be 2 weeks drying low and slow.

Dunno of its just me but they do seem less rigid after you've washed em I cant imagine they last that many washes?
I don't see much loss in rigidity, especially once I fill one back up with another 10 gallons of soil.

I just recycled the soil from my 10 gallon pot that had the Widow.....talk about roots! One of these days I am going to do a comparison between a plant in a 10 gallon hard pot vs a plant in a 10 gallon soft pot.

...The ones I use are tan in color, off the "zon"...the name escapes me right now, but I'll check later...I use predominantly 7's, but also am running three 15's this go round...the only drawback is pots that size become stationary, cause my back says "nope, not gonna lift that"...I was gonna run six 15's next spring, but I may rethink that...we'll see...cheerz...h00k...:rollit::passitleft:
Try dropping down to a 10 gallon Hook. I ran my NL in a 15 and it was stationary for flower until harvest time (it was fun getting that big wench out of the tent, out of the grow room and down stairs for harvest......NOT!) and while the yield was great, I like being able to move my stuff if I want. The 10s are still heavy but if I don't move them on watering days, I can manage pretty good. Yields are still very good in 10s Hook. Just some food for thought if you want your girls on the big size but you still want to be able to manhandle em!!

Great! Thanks

So, are the 15s heavier material than the 7s or below. That is what I am worried about...getting a large pot made out of that 1/16" stuff would be a hot mess for me unless I put it in a cage or frame. The the added weight kinda negates using lighter material.

...Actually, I did run a few 10's last year, and they are about the limit I care to move about...especially after watering...I didn't see much difference size wise between them and the 7's...could have been the strains tho'...this year I thought I give the bigger pot thought a try, and they are bigger...however, like you, I like the option of moving them outside to work on them and water/feed(keeps the room so much cleaner) and photo op's...it's that reason I may rethink my plan for next spring...I was gonna run six 15's...three Docs "kit" and three using my soil mix...now I'm not so sure I want the girlz housebound for the whole grow...got lot's of time to figger' out my final plan to'...

These are the ones I use,(made by Hydrofarm, found on the Zon) and they are the same material, just different dimensions...even the 15's are sturdy enuff' to lift if Ya' have the back to do it...the reinforcing for the handles seems to hold up and they're big enough you could use a XL tomato cage or even fab up a scrog set up if you don't mind stationary...

I've also got these ones, which seem to be equally sturdy and a good deal for a pack of 5...and of course I would be remiss if I didn't say to check out our sponsors and look at their offerings...

...anyways...cheerz...h00k...:rollit::passitleft:

To be fair i have 3 kinds of cloth pot. One is the smart pot so its that like black felt type stuff. Then i got a 10gal root pouch with nice handles that seems to be made of a much better quality material (also looks a lot nicer) and another brand cant remember what that one is but they are pretty thick and sturdy, apart from the handles.

I got my kush auto in a 10gal pot. Shes got some size to her compared to the rest, buds are gonna be dense as hell. Gonna save it for a photoperiod next time though, take full advantage of the extra size.

What pots do you prefer hook?

The pots I like obviously if made of the same fabric in 20 or 30g would not work for anything. Never bought anything larger than 7.

I tried some square ones, they don't stay square.
As soon as you put soil in they round out lol the brand i cant remember are those

It may be Derby, but someone puts their soft pots in milk crates which squares them off, has handles and allows for training. Maybe it was justmeds. I can’t remember.

Probably gonna water her tomorrow if it doesn’t rain. Seems to be drinking more lately. Growing more and more everyday! Here’s some pics!

Here’s The Outsider. She’s budding up nicely. Got the first little sights of frost. Just barely. Those first few dots on some of the leaves. Here’s a few pics.

No milk crates in my dungeon. I have drip tables with metal shelving that the pots sit on.
Oh yeahhhhh! Lol. My bad brothta! It must have been just meds!

I love how well that training did keeping that outdoor girl low. Might be a good idea for those who are outdoors but need to be stealth-like and keep things low.
