1st Grow: Blue Dream

Veg day 11
You already know Party Girl was the first to take her top off! :cheer:
Been 2 days since I removed 1st and 2nd nodes from the girls! They never slowed down for a second. I pinched the tips off just above the 4th node today taking care not to damage the small growth at the 4th node! I suspect they won’t miss a beat! Here are some pics of the girls now!

Veg day 12
My assumption that they wouldn’t slow down was an understatement! The stalks have doubled in size since yesterday. Today I started gently pushing down on the 4 main branches. Not much just a little pressure to give em a little taste of what’s to come! Picked up the pots. Still a little wet I believe. Will probably water tomorrow night.

Know the feeling fam. When i started em off I was sooo scared of hurting em and also as you said i was proud of how they looked lol. Now I realise... pain/stress=strength. Its the same for humans. But again theres always a breaking point in both. Ride the cusp of exccelence and give ya plants nice little recovery periods beetween small defols/topping. If you break something while ya bending stuff about dont panic, either tape it up or if its to far gone get rid of it, believe me with @Asesino85 quadline something will eventually fill the gap. #quadsquad

You need to get that #Quadsquad in your sig ;). Both of ya do.

These are doing great and I'm happy you didn't have to stress too long before seeing the results. Looks like you did the defoliating and topping perfectly! Excited to see you perform the next steps in training those 4 branches horizontally to build the base. They are looking absolutely fantastic so far. Keep it up!

Thanks for stopping by Ase! I feel like they are doing well. They just keep booming right along! All the environmental factors are staying where I want them which is a relief. RH is hanging around 60 with lights on and spiking to around 65 with lights off. Temp ranging from 65*F to 73*F. I appreciate the words of encouragement!

They are looking amazing man!! Pretty cool to see you start the quad! May have to give it a shot myself one of these grows.. looks so nice
I appreciate it man! If they look half as good as those pics of yours I’ll be thrilled!

Veg day 13
Fed the girls tonight. Went by the fox farm feeding schedule for week 2 of veg. Cut the strength to half though. Hope it’s not too much. We will see over the next couple of days. Fed each pot 1/2 gal. Here are a couple pics from today!

Veg day 15
Got a lot of new growth popping through today. Wondering when I should pin these lower branches down?

Not for a little bit. They need to be a bit larger. Then you will pin down the two branches coming off the top node and let the lower set of branches catch up to them in height. Then you pin them down to be the same height as the top ones and let all of them grow together. Right about now I start bending the branches just very lightly with my fingers so they aren't just growing 100% vertical.

Will do! Thanks again!

Could he not pin just the fan leaves down to encourage the shoots to grow a bit quicker? Thats what I did anyway it worked quite well

But yer just start nudging em down every day a bit with ya fingers and you will see em reaching outwards.
I’ve been doing that. And I kinda manipulated the large fans to be out of the way of the newer growth...well as much as I could anyway. Lol. And thanks for complimenting the girls. They do seem pretty darn happy!

You could. I just like to let the plant grow naturally for a while after doing something like topping. The plant is still fairly fragile. I think all marijuana plants grow fastest when they are just left alone to grow vertical.

Not saying what you did was wrong but I think the less stres the better at this point until they are big enough.

Veg day 17
watered the girls with water seasoned with a lil cal mag today. About 1/2 gal each. The new growth in the middle is really exploding up above the primary fans now. Temps stable around the clock between 66 and 74. RH fluctuating between 46 and 70. My goal is to keep it around 55. Here are a few pics from today!
