1st Grow: Blue Dream

Hey Mr Magoo
Well I just got caught up on your journal and you are growing some beautiful girls can't wait to see how the next phase goes for you, hope it is a good flip.

I hope so too man! I did a little flush with Sledgehammer from the foxfarm nutrient line tonight. Just supposed to relieve surface tension and break up deposits on the roots. Probably not necessary. Lol. But it came with the bundle so I’m gonna use it anyway. They will probably be hungry again on Thursday when I flip so I can start right off with bloom nutes! ....sounds good anyway! Lol

I was wondering if I could get some advice as I am new to this and a beginner should I use potted plants? I was just wondering as I was going to try the system I researched the bubbleponics and was worried that it might be harder than the potted method any advice would be great.

I don’t know much about that kind of system but I’m sure someone here will be able to shed some light!

howdy howdy mr.Goo hopefully not to blue with the mites and such, nasty little critters those, had them on the farm awhile back but Neem oil/soap mix knocked them out the park, so lucky lucky well I hope so as haven't been there in a cpl weeks now..

Looking good otherwise....
I appreciate it Smeegol! I think I’ve gotten rid of them. Fingers crossed and eyes open!

Why not pinch a couple clones and get them going? and give her another 10 days of veg?
I don’t know much about the cloning process honestly. And I’m limited on space and to 4 plants so I haven’t really considered it. I’d like to get to that point someday. And as far as vegging....u think they need a lil more time?

Veg day 47
Temps 72-79F
RH 40-47

Girls have bounced back nicely from the defol. Here’s a few pics!

You can really see how different they both have grown. Not sure if it’s because of how much Party Girl leans coming out of the soil. That would surely effect her shape as she grew. They sho is purdy tho!

Also got a fully functioning light goin! Booyah!!

Flip day 2
Temp 72-79
RH 50

Flipped the girls yesterday morning starting them with 12 hrs of dark. After lights on last night watered each with 1/2 strength nutes except the granular phosphorus booster. It was full strength. We’ll see how they like it. Also watered each with a full gallon for the first time after not getting any runoff the past few 1/2 gallon feedings. Lots of runoff with this feeding. They grew an inch during the first 12 of lights out and tops of plants sitting 17” below the light. May raise the light a few inches soon. Here are a few pics.

Side note. Frost here comes in late October usually. Thinking about throwing an auto outside if I can get the seed in time to finish before then. Just a thought.....I got the bug! Lol

I just did it first of July. 2 WW autos in dirt. Why not?

I’ll check that out. Is that in the sponsored grow?

No. I didn't plan it, I got my med grow papers & to celebrate I spontaneously popped them. I will start a journal this weekend. They are doing well well at 13 days & no effort.

I m so glad we flipped same strain at the same time!

afternoon mr.G, bumping into you all over today, so I had a good look at your girls now now and I wouldn't say they've skipped a beat to be honest.
If you don't mind me asking what is your next cycle after this, are you popping seeds.
Sorry my thought process is where you going to put the new prospects while these girls flower out, cause if you can do that then try your hand at cloning as you have some prospects that look worthy, but I admit I don't recall if you can or not....an enquiring mind never stops...haha
