Veg day 43
To flip or not to flip?!
Temp 72-82
RH 35-45
I’ve done some minor defoil every other day just about recently. Looking for bugs (finding a couple) and just tidying up a bit. No more signs of webbing but seen 2 bugs....killed 1, the other was on the main stalk but I couldn’t get it. So we are 6 full weeks into Veg. Is it time to flip? Here are some pics of the girls!

I at least have an action plan for the mites. Gonna do one more application of Neem and see if I see any signs of bugs at that point. If I do it something a little more heavy hitting. Went to Tractor Supply co to see what they have in stock and they have a couple options that I can run and grab if need be. As far as the light....I don’t know what to do. I look at that empty part of the light every time I go in there I guess just hoping it will magically fix itself. No luck yet. Lol. But seriously....I’m in the middle of a 12 day work schedule before I have any time off. So I don’t know when I can get a chance to take it down and work on it. I halfway want to try ordering another one and sending the broke one back once I get the new one. But I’m scared I’ll end up paying for 2 of the same light without any kind of refund. And if I’m gonna spend if probably rather get something better. The only way I see myself having time to work on this one myself during lights out is if I flip to 12/12. Then I could get home with the lights still out and at least try to fix it. Which brings me to my update.......
Ok. So will revisit this question on Thursday. That fresh green in the middles means they are growing healthy and fast so I'd let them keep going to get a little more height before flipping. I'd give them 4-6 more days.
I think that is what I will do. I’m eyeballing the Timber lights tho. LolBro I did it 4 times with Amazon! I could get 4 brand new leds like that! I got refund at directly when the parcel was posted even before Amazon received it!
I could do that later though! Lol. Easy Magoo.....I think that is what I will do. I’m eyeballing the Timber lights tho. Lol
The lights I got have a three year warranty. At one point they just send the parts for you to fix it. I haven't come across it yet, but I do have two units in the tent, so it's not as critical if I lose a row. I can easily change the parts if they send them to me, but others may not have that same mindset. It's one of the problems, more frequently with lights like we get off Amazon, that happen with LED's. I guess we could all be good boy/girl scouts and be prepared but sometimes that's not feasible. As far as the light....I don’t know what to do
I don’t know where they came from man. Lol. I’ve kept it really clean in there so the only explanation is that they came from me bringing them in. So now I at least wash my hands before getting in the tent. The lights I got have a three year warranty. At one point they just send the parts for you to fix it. Good luck with the lights and mites. I am curious though, what causes the spider mites?
Great, more homework for me. I guess I'll be looking that up more tomorrow as I see and hear a lot about them in posts.I don’t know where they came from man. Lol. I’ve kept it really clean in there so the only explanation is that they came from me bringing them in.
Nothing really causes them. They are virtually anywhere vegetation grows. It's not a matter of if u will get spider mites, it's a matter of when u will get them. The lights I got have a three year warranty. At one point they just send the parts for you to fix it. Good advice Stanks. I’d just like to add it would be good to already have a plan so that you can act at first sign and hopefully prevent a full blown infestation.Nothing really causes them. Now you can surely help prevent getting them. Grow good genetics is one step. Keep a clean grow room with lots of air flow (pests hate air blowing on them), be careful coming into your garden....most of the time you get mites is from you tracking them into your grow space. Do your preventative measures And lastly....cull really weak plants, they are a magnet to mites.
Haha. I’m familiar with @newty defoil. My plants whisper to each other like speaking of the boogeyman. Lol. I didn’t have to use fans to strengthen stems.....just showed them pics of her defoil and they shook on their own!Morning mr.Blue, hope this day finds you well, pesky bugs will get in they just need the smallest excuse but sounds like you taking the right preventative measures so it'll all work out well..
On the topic of light defol, you should see a #newtyhaircut......
Good info Van, as I have not been practicing good entrance techniques. I'll be more cautious about that and also how long I keep the tent door open when inside.Nothing really causes them. Also good info. I'll try and get some neem oil and have it available.I’d just like to add it would be good to already have a plan so that you can act at first sign and hopefully prevent a full blown infestation

Do it and don't look back. Their nice. I use the Cits and have a vero single coming in a single cob 100w 4K for veg.I think that is what I will do. I’m eyeballing the Timber lights tho. Lol
