Thanks brother. Its easy to have a good looking garden if you have good soil and leave the plants be. Thats the good thing about being in a SCROG, I can't mess with them and screw anything up LOL.
Well in terms of simplicity, its hard to beat the Magic Butter Machine 2. Pour in oil, pour in lecithin, add your decarbed trim/bud, select the temp you want and then select the time and come back when you year it beeping after your time is done.
Now I have had two batches I made and two massively different results. I had a feeling something wasn't right after the first batch (wish I would have taken pics) but I don't think the blade on the mixer was working correctly or I had too much bud and trim in it. Anyways the first batch of oil and leftover trim looked NOTHING like the mush left over from the 2nd batch. The 2nd batch was what I expected stuff to look like when the process is done. I don't know what caused the mishap, but I will fix it. I am going to rerun that same coconut oil I ran through on the 1st batch, with another batch of decarbed bud and see what it looks like when done. If anything it will increase the potency which is what I want. Not that I want my dose to be more powerful, but for the fact I want to take smaller doses and make the batch last longer. Trial and error, but I will get things worked out.
I believe you still have to decarb the buds and trim for the CBD as well Guy. I am not 100% but I am pretty sure I remember reading that part as it relates to both THC and CBD, but I will defer to G2HM or an oil expert. Also I have read in several places that you really need both the THC and CBD for the best overall pain relief. I have to say I would probably agree with that based off of the experiences I have had with CBD Oil (20:1) ratio. What I mean is I got relief but not full relief and no where near the relief from smoking. So for me and my back pain, I think I need the THC in the mix. I would imagine different pains have different requirements.
My plan moving forward is experimenting more with those ratios and strain mixing. I have some ACDC seeds (which the grower lists the THC can be as low as .5% and the CBD can be as high as 20% for a 40:1 CBD to THC ratio) so I am looking forward to making oil where I take equal amount ATF Buds and equal amount ACDC bud and see how the two do together. I am also wanting to compare mixing two strains against a strain that is naturally in the 1:1 to 2:1 CBD to THC range.
