I wanted to stop in and offer congratulations for MOTM honors! Glad to see I haven't missed the ATF harvest. Have a great weekend.
Man I forgot to congratulate you too! It seems like just yesterday I stumbled upon your soil recipe and was talking to you in the Build a Better Soil Thread. I mean is it just me or did this journal take the heck off? 154 pages already?!
Lol trim buddies! May your snips be sticky and testers tasty! You’ve got your work cut out for you, but it’s good you’re doing it bit by bit a plant at a time. Enjoy the smoke breaks I know you’ll be taking!
I like bud washing. It slows the initial drying down just a bit, but I am good with that since I want it slower and lower. Plus I see all the stuff that comes off my buds and I am thankful I did smoke or consume that stuff in any oil. I think I will always be a bud washer.
with all the critters you killed Van... Bud washing is a MUST
Ive done it, not every time, not a lot showed in my water, but it is a good practice for sure

No smoke breaks until after Physical therapy today.
Yeah I think I have kind of found how I like to trim, bud wash, dry and trim again.
I cut the colas down, do a rough trim of all the fan leaves and then do a triple bud wash and hang em in my hanging box for 2-3 days in the upstairs room with the window open (keeps the temps in the 68 degree range). Than I trim the big sugar leaves off and jar em up and into the fridge they go for a couple weeks to slow dry. When I say jar them in the fridge, I want to clarify that I remove the top and put cheese cloth over the top so there is still air movement in through there and the buds are allowed to dry. Seems to keep the sticking down to a minimum and breaks it up so its not nearly as labor intensive in one shot.
Oh man! I totally forgot myself Van. Congratulations!
Can you explain your bud wash method? Do you dip them in a bucket of water or actually wash. Probably a real dumb question, but I’ve never done it before. Sounds beneficial to me though. I’ve also never dried in a refrigerator either. Slower drying sounds beneficial too. I need the info bro!
Oh and thank for the congratulations too Gramps!! I do appreciate it!
