This is crazy! I have been sifting soil to take out the bark since 12 o'clock lunch time today and I'm still not done. My mom always said, "waste not, want not!"

If your ph is good try using sticky traps around the plants to keep bugs away.

Hey everybody, it's been a long day. Wifey's sick with a stomach virus, so I've been doing the house work and made her some Jewish penicillin, AKA home made chicken soup. Finished the soil sifting. trying to figure out how to upload a video from my pc.

I have one of those totally unreliability. Only thing its partly good at is checking to see if soil needs watering.

that's my problem, mine get stuck and don't move to check moisture unless you take them out of the planter and stick them in straight water to give them a kick start. getting myself digitals & battery operated.

General hydroponics pH drop test is super cheap and is on point. Its what I use.

Use your finger, you will know when it needs watering. Also causing the plant likes a light drought helps it produce more. They like there wet dry cycles. Helps roots also.

so what do you think about those spots bug bites or deficiancy?
sifting soil sucks, don't all soil mixes come with amounts of bark in them?

ProMix and Fox Farms comes with zero wood. Wood is for rose gardens. It lowers ph and creates "bad bacteria". Bad because it competes with "good bacteria" like mycorrhizae.

That's why I sifted the soil, working on getting fox farms. did you see my video of the soil now? also working on sticky tape.
