Hey y'all, been dealing with life all day. The plants are looking pretty good, but the one that looks the best is the runt. the other three look alike but the runt looks totally different. I can't wait for the pre-flowers to find out which is male and which is female. today I ordered a five pack of feminized Bubblelicious from Nirvana. i'm waiting for my PH Pen and my USB Microscope, later on this month i'll get my Ocean Forrest, EJ Element Bloom, and EJ Catalyst. All the tools that will help finish my first grow and keep my next grow on track. I will post some pics tomorrow of the plants. Love you guys.
GOD BLESS, GOOD NIGHT. Keep it Green, Keep it Growing. :thanks:

I tried to get some seeds from Nirvana and do a wire transfer and my bank locked me out of my account, had to go to bank office 78 miles away from my house to get it unlocked. they claim that Nirvana is black balled from my bank because they sell illegal substances. Which we all know that's a crock of horse shit so I guess I'll be trying Crop King or 420 and see what they got. Sometimes things can be such a pain.

well Jimmy here are today's pics the babies are 39 days old.

this is one and two

Well later today I get two new toys to add to my collection, a PH Pen and the USB Microscope. My next purchase will be from 420 I like the fact that they guarantee their shipping and viability of their beans. I find that to be awesome. They don't ha ve BubbleliciousI'll have to pick out something different. I'll decide later. Good
Night, God Bless, and Keep it Green, Keep it Growing.

Hi Folks, I have been dealing with life since the wifey got that stomach flu. I got my toys on Monday "pics to follow" Sorry bout not posting sooner. The plants look beautiful since I flushed them on Sunday. Well one looks like shit to me, but the others look wonderful "Pic to follow". It goes to show how resilient and forgiving these plants are. I want to thank my main mentor "JimmyJames905" who stays on me like an older brother to a younger one.

So I've been playing with my new USB Microscope and I had a friend bring me some regular seeds from some plants he grew outside last year to see if I could sex them according to this video_Of the seven seeds that I picked out of the bag of maybe sixty or seventy seeds, all seven were female according to the specifics of the video. I have decided to run a two part experiment. Part one is to see if the one I chose from the group of seven is a female. Part two is a two part controlled experiment. Part one, I am going to germinate the one seed the same way as I germinated the four plants I currently have growing, I'm going to soak it for 18 hours then I'm going to drop it in soil, the same soil I've been using and let it go. However, this time I'm going to use the half solo cup to germinate and grow the seedling instead of using a six inch clay pot like I did with the plants I currently have growing which are now 44 days old. I am then going to follow the watering regimen I have been using since getting help after I over watered the plants the first time and I will also not be giving it any NUTES to see how it grows. Part two of the controlled experiment, will happen after the 16th of the month when I am able to go and purchase the FOX FARMS OCEAN FORREST POTTING SOIL and I can germinate a second video sexed fem seed in the same way with the solo cup and water regimen but with the FFOF soil to see how it grows from seedling till flower. I'm hoping for growth half as good as yours JimmyJames, if I get that I'll be happy. Also if both seeds turn out fem then I will never be reluctant to grow reg seeds ever, not that I was reluctant with this first grow.

According to the video this is a fem seed:

well I just put the seed to soak at 10:15 PM and I will post some more tomorrow.
GOD BLESS You All, Keep it Green & Keep it Growing

Hi folks, so I've had all the lights on in the room. that's ten 23 watt 5k CFL's and four 10 watt 5k LED's for a total of 270 watts and have been having a heat problem. With the door open the day time temp has been in the mid to upper 80's, at night upper 70's and this is with the 6" fan blowing directly on the plants and a 21" oscillating fan also blowing to move the air around. so I have turned off 6 of the CFL's to see if that helps until I can address the heat exhaust problem. It's still winter here, although we haven't had much of a winter it still not hot enough to put the window unit in. There's definitely a lot more to growing than meets the eye. I put the supposedly fem seed in the solo cup yesterday.

Well it's been 47 days from seed and I have over watered, fed when I shouldn't have, planted in clay pots which I shouldn't have. The major consensus is in my opinion is that I have stunted the plants growth and more than likely have given the plants N toxicity. I'm not sure if I should continue with this experiment or end it. In a few days I will be able to purchase a batter soil from FOX FARMS I still plan to run with my new experiment. 2 seeds sexed by video, 2 different soils, no nutes, just water till bloom. my current grow space is limited, so if the four plants continue to not show progress by the time I get the OCEAN FORREST, I think this will come to an end. This does not mean that I'm quitting, it just means that I'm putting an end to this partly failed experiment. I say partly failed because whenever you can walk away from something and gain some knowledge, it's not a total failure. I want to apologize to everyone for not having a better journal, a more spicy journal but I have never been one for paper work of sorts. So thanks to those who visited and tried to help.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL. KEEP IT GREEN, KEEP IT GROWING.

OK, a buddy of mine got 10 regular "skunk seeds" last year and grew them out in the woods. Out of 10 seeds he got 4 females, out of the four females only 1 got saved from fertilization the other 3 seeds up the ass. So I asked my bud for some seeds to sex by video and microscope. So, he gave me about 60 or 70 seeds and I sexed about 20 and found what are supposed to be 7 female seeds. I took 1 and soaked it for 14 hours on 2/10 and then I dropped it in a 1/2 solo cup of my cleaned, debarked organic garden soil on 2/11. This evening I checked on it and it had popped its head up out if the soil. I have it about 8 inches away from the CFL lights. Now to scope out the growth progress.

Hey Jimmy, how's it going? have been doing a lot of reading trying to diagnose the problem with the plants and they show symptoms of several deficiencies which all come down to improper PH. I took the PH pen and set it up and calibrated it. checked my tap water and PH was 7.5. EJ Grow 1/2 tsp=2.5ml to a gallon of water, PH was 6.2 that means that the 16 drops to 1.5 ltr of water had to be less than 4 PH. So I locked them up when I over watered them, when I fed them with the Alaska fish fert, and then when I fed them with the EJG. I took the EJ Grow 1/2 tsp=2.5ml to a gallon of water PH 6.2 added 10 drops of PH up and it raised up to 6.8 PH so I'm starting to understand the importance of constant vigilance of PH and dialing in the nutes. Thanks.

Your plants definitely have deficiencies, make sure you water around the pot and not directly in the middle. Also you should water until you get about 15-20% runoff and leave the runoff there as the plant will soak it up. Check the runoff pH and it should be 6.4-6.8 This make ensure your roots are not getting the nutrient lockout. If you are not supplying the plant with the proper nutes, they will look like that and eventually start to die off. The fox farm ocean forest is great for the stage your plants are in. They will give you at least 4 weeks without needing to add any nutes. I would also use a root acceleration powder like Mykos root enhancer.

Hey Kabbal, thanks for dropping in and posting the advice. I started this first grow as an experiment in order to learn what to do and what not to do. I have gotten a lot of great advice here especially from a Bro JimmyJames905 but like the hard head that I am, I still screwed things up. LOL These plants are 58 days old today. I'm planning on taking them to bloom but first I'm going to correct their deficiencies. Yesterday I got my FOX FARMS OCEAN FORREST SOIL, CAL/MAG, and GEN. HYD. FLORA/MICRO. I'm going to start giving it the CAL/MAG today. I'm not going to give it any more NUTES with N until I turn them to 12/12. I have them on 20/4 right now.I have some regular Skunk seeds and I have been using my USB Microscope and a video that's on one of the pages here in this journal. Well, so far I have sexed supposedly eight females, that's going to be my next grow journal, that's when I'm going to use my FOX FARM. Right now I'm just trying to get it right so I don't mess up good Genetics in the future. Thanks for stopping in, and check in from time to time see how things are progressing.
