Thats the one bad thing about soil, while it takes time for issues to show up it also takes longer to correct.

wondering if I should try going hydro after my current 3 finish? or just get better about tweeking ph. my tap water is pretty alkaline so I have to lower the ph before I water. a good, reliable ph meter is KEY!! you definitely always find something to spend money on in order to keep your grow going. seems like it will take a while before I break even and start saving! lol the equipment to start up is $$$

I doubt if i live long enough to break even, for me growing what i want when i want makes it worth it. Also dont have to visit the "block" to score which here is a huge plus.

Perhaps instead of full blown hydro, maybe just try coco coir first? Many find it simpler than dirt because there is nothing in it to start... you are in complete control of what she gets fed.

Here is my next crop potted in green tree no float with 1/3 growstone

Coco is very forgiving, if a problem gets out of hand a quick flush with 1/4 strength nutes resets the coco. Monitoring ph stops most issues from occuring.

The Green Tree no-float is $20 for a 1.5 cu ft bag

Growstone is about $30 for a similar size bag

About the same as your soil

Well I am willing to give it a try if it means easier ph control. I'm for with daily watering, I like hanging with my girls

Coco binds up calcium so you should use additional calmag with each feeding. Dial it in and its a joy to work with coco.

Emmylou has about sucked up all the water from my attempted flush the other day, but run off was maintaining 6.0 ph. I hope my new meter arrives today or tomorrow. Also have a bottle of API 6.5ph solution so it should help keep ph steady. Guess i need to run about 8 gallons of tap water through her then feed with ph water with 1/4 nutes and see if she recovers. Im def. Getting lockout on my plants.
