1080w LED Inferno

thanks brother! I believe it doesn't hurt them as long as its not for a long time and the roots get too dry and die. its wasn't more then a few hours because last night i checked them and they still had a little water and i was going to feed in a bit then next thing i new it was morning
I half to say this is a possitive mistake. It is good for the roots to get nothing but oxygen every once in a while.I do this with my bubbler and I can see a noticable growth spurt. Not sure as I have never grown using pearlite and hand watering but I think it has same affect as earoponic or bubble bucket.Heat issue shouldnt be to much of a problem as long as things are circulated well and roots stay cool.I think tricks may turn faster with increased heat but not sure as led finish times seem to take a min longer but thats not a bad thing your growing some picture perfect buds thats what got me interested in led:popcorn::thumb:

Man, looks like you're doing exactly what they need. :thumb:

That's so sweet. they all look like, well, like clones!

Keep it up, bro :rasta:

:peace:

Got ya; that place will be getting real full soon. what the SQ foot-age of the grow area? Seems like small space for the area them lights cover. Believe it said on their site its 4X4 coverage area. I looked back or "skimmed through" and didnt see the area on the first few pages

WOW! irish looking good man. those babies look short, dense and lush. Look'n like a nice harvest coming your way. :thumb:
thanks man!

its true its goos sometimes to let things get dry on the roots as long as its not for a long time.

we will see how fast they ripen off? i know other led lights ive used took longer but my last grow using this light was right on time.

ya its over kill for sure, but thats a good thing when dealing with light as long as the temps arnt too crazy, my area is a 4'x4' tray. not too sure was HGL site says on foot print? but its working for me, Two 300's would have been perfect also for this size area, but since i have 3 lights mise well use them all for flowering, more light bigger buds:MoreNutes:

thanks man!

Yeah not so long they droop.Good to hear about finish time with led.I have a question off topic a little but still has to do with led.I just got my new led in a 250 from hh.It is one of the few that work but any way have you ever had an issue with a resedue like mold on your leaves. This applys to my tomatoes was just getting the feel for hydro. But its also been hot and humid at times lately. This may just apply to my paticular plant but only noticed this when under the leds like plants are getting a sort of light burn. Not sure doesnt seem to affect growth but its like leaves get leathery and fungy. It may just be temps but just curiouse.Think Im going to weight to start the mj till things cool down.

Pictures generally help.

to be honest ive never had anything like that, kinda hard to know what you mean without pics?

Yes I would have but seemed off topic realy wont show in pic.Was just wondering seems like one of them tomato fungal viruses.Have a pepper plant in same res seems fine.I think its just heat and humidity was just wondering if irish had anything simular while using these powerfull leds. Its a mind bender.leaves seem dehydrated but moist and turning to a leathery look with mass leaf curl but the curl I believe is mostly in this plants genetics but I think plants are under stress due to 80 degrees with high 40percent humidity and a powerfull led which is 18inches over head.No bugs or any thing. This light seems to be kicking out a little more heat than my previouse 1 watt diode lights.IDK.No biggie.

Yes I have never seen this before either. Thanks Irish I will post a pick When lights on.Not sure if it will show up with pic. They look like there starving for water but getting leathery leaves.I can rub my fingers on a leaf and rub the color off.Weird.But it only does this under led.Had cfls running for a min until my new light came in.My ppm is 700 on a 20 inch plant leaves are pretty dark.:peacetwo:

On the GLH site it states (for the 300 watt units) a 4.5' x 4.5' coverage area and 3' x 2.5' core saturation. By core saturation, I take it to mean "quality bud production zone". Just like the wattage equivalents, it seems like Mike is much more honest and realistic about coverage area than most of his competitors. Now if he would just get rid of that crazy annoying music on his site!

Or tell us how many Lumens of each light spectrum the LED outputs. Im sure to get one of the 300w units. Only a matter of time. The tent I have it planned for will be no larger than a 4X4 prob smaller than that though.

Sounds more like a tomatoe specific issue not an LED light issue, all though it could be, but with 40% R/H mold is usualy suppressed, thats one issue I noticed disappeared was mold issues when I started using LED's, coinsidence or cause & effect I don't know.
I would try combating it with Serenade and maybe watering with some BTI in case its something like lavae in the roots.
Everytime I go to Armstrong or any nursery latly someone is looking for a way to combat tomatoe mold, I wonder if there is a bad out break this year.
Regards,
J.W.

Yes thank you john for an educated responce.I to believe its a tomato spacific isue.Growing a couple fery morse beef stake.I dont believe it is the light but I think this hybrid is realy touchy when it comes to humidity and should not have grown it hydro. They drink an inch of water a week from what I have read.I also noticed signs of rooting on the stock.I think my plant got herpeis lol.But also have a little bit of slime in the roots but still smell sweet.Everthing points to humidity I believe. Its just a tomato issue. going to lighten the feeding to 500 and flush the roots more frequent. They have not stoped growing and i dont think it will affect production. These things realy picked up with this led realy happy with this light thus far.I will keep a close eye on in case their diseased I hope not:thankyou:

When I first read this I thought it might be Tobacco Mosaic Virus (do you smoke? Tend to your garden without scrubbing your hands first) as it can cause leaf-rolling when it interferes with the "wilty" gene or even something akin to tomato yellow leaf curl virus (when you grab the plant and give it a good shake, do you see a bunch of pissed-off whiteflies?). But... You stated that you can rub the color off - do you mean that you can rub the green off or the color of the discoloration (if any) on the leaves?

Uneven watering and severe pruning can cause leaf curl.

Rust generally starts out showing raised yellow spots, which you didn't mention.

Which way are the leaves curling? Upwards, downwards, like a taco?

Get pictures yet?

Not sure you could get those ladies any healthier looking. Those are some beauties, very nice job...

Hard to see in photo.Yes the tobacco was my first guess but dont smoke around my plants or in the house. This disease is veary unlikely but possible will keep an eye to see if it persists.I believe its just high humidity these plants dont have a high tollarence I think their just stressed.Plant is showing signs of to high humidity think this particular plant rather be in soil. Also slightly over fed I have been having to lower ppm was 700 now Im at 500.Feeding chart says I should be up to 1400 but I am not seeing that... IDK?Can you see the mouldy look to the leaves kinda looks like leaves on an oak tree after they dry up a bit.:peace:
