Are you noticing any loss of plant flexibility due to the addition of silicone?
what do you mean by loss of plant flexibility? if you mean feeling of the stem? then yes the stems are thick for their age.

Awesome job, I bet you are feeling like a million bucks winning POTM and NOTM. You deserve it man, you are going down as a pioneer of LED's. :
Agreed. Truly awesome job man. Double wins are sweet and you deserve it o humble one!

The silicate (from the Potassium Silicate solution) deposits into the tissues surrounding the xylem structures of the plant. Usually with strength comes brittleness so I think he is asking if when flexing the stems, do they have a higher tendency to break instead of bend.
NewAir AF-310 Evaporative Tower Air Cooling Fan with 60-Degree Oscillation.Im in the same boat with heat problems.I was surching for fans then came across this tower fan that has built in swamp cooler, humidifier, ice pack ready or ice and nice resevoir tray that pulls out at the bottom.Has all the digital goodies with remote for 99 dallars.Ow and it also oscilates....AF-310 FROM NEW AIR.I have also seen them selling on ebay a little cheaper with free shipping and its the same company.the more and more i think about it i think my best bet is to run both intake and exhaust the same size. well shit i forgot i can adjust my fan speed with my fans. they come with to speeds, so i can set my intake a little slower to create a slight vac if the odors become a problem. but i would only want a slight vac affect so i dont pull in too much heat from the water heater ducting that run into the hot attic.
i guess ill have to play around with it.

Yes I am not sure how much it would increase the humidity. But at 312 cfm in a small grow space it should keep things well circulated. And it also has some air purification features.I would also maybe recomend timming the cooler on and off with your ehaust on constant. But yes it is kinda a risk to use durring flower.Ac would be better but $$$.I am going to purchase one as i need one for my room in any case and i will make a note of my temps and humidity.i would be afraid it would raise the RH% too much since it a swamp cooler, during flowering i would be afraid of getting bud rot/PM. i would also need a bigger one like their 350 model because that one would be too small probably for my room.

Going to keep my fingers crossed I am little worried about that myself.I have purchased little swamps before that just put out humid warm air.I am hoping the gel packs that come with it will help along with improvments made on the filtration.Have a larger older swamp going right now and its about 75 degrees with 35 percent humidity.Outside its about 95.I just have my tent slightly open with fan blowing inside.Just on some hydro tomatoes to get some hydro experience.please keep me posted on how it works for you and ur room. if it seems to be good and not raise the RH crazy then ill pick one up maybe.
hey i was wondering if anyone has clone a clone and had no problems? Ive heard you will get genetic drift and the clone from a clone will not be as good or potent as the mom. any one have experience with this?
im doing this in a few days with my slh, i have read that the vigour of the plant can suffer but if you only do it once or twice you should be ok, ill soon find out i suppose.
i use dyna gro pro tekt silicon from what ive heard and read its the best around.
cool keep me posted on this please.

will do!
do you have any idea how i can tell if my already flowered plant that im re-vegging is actually back to 100% veg mode?
would you say no pistils showing is a good enough sign?

sometimes the pistils will go away, sometimes not, one good sure sign that it is changing is some deformed leaves, like little or no serrations...after a while you just get alot of green growth and off you go again...take a look at woodsmans runt...you can see a couple of non or not very serrated leaves...ever, lavendar
thats too funny. I TOLD YOU SO..lolthe pro tekt has sure helped all my plants, they love it...
and irish, as a side note, remember how i said the hubby may not like the dark force? well, he came back to the house the other day and said you need to come over here for a moment and ck this out...so i go over, and he says, something has died in here and i been hunting for it, but cant find it...somehow it must have gotten in the water tho, as it stinks like s.....i start laughing and say, remember when i told you i was adding that stuff you might not like?....he says tell me no way, that is horrid, smells like a dead rat...we have an industrial strength ozone gen. in there, and if not for that, he would not go in there at all....it does stink, but i just rinse my hands and nose out....it will sink in clothes also, oh well, as you said...i.r. savage...later, thought you'ld like the laugh, and you can say i told you so, as you did...lol, lavendar
we're still using it tho...
you will get new growth showing, just like in veg from what i have seen with my friends that have done it. ive never done it 1st handwill do!

cool thanksi have cloned from a clone 5x's on alot of my girls, each time one gets ready to go to bud, size, i take a clone...the only thing i have noticed on some is the pheno will be diff...but that is only on the ones that arn't tried and true and ibl....and usually i like the diff phenos as well, and i pick the plant that i want to keep and pass the others on...lol...lavendar
ya what she said.lolsometimes the pistils will go away, sometimes not, one good sure sign that it is changing is some deformed leaves, like little or no serrations...after a while you just get alot of green growth and off you go again...take a look at woodsmans runt...you can see a couple of non or not very serrated leaves...ever, lavendar
wow thanks for that infoyes, me, over and over, and all ive gotten is more potent but one old time grower said that is because the plant is more mature? ...but some things ive read say just the opposite, but not my luck so far, im very happy with it, but some strains will just quit after a while...i got 4x's only out of my cal. oj, but part of that was my fault..i used to keep one plant only, and kept it alive for 5 yrs that way...it was still in great health and looking good last time i saw it....lavendar
