1080w LED Inferno

your the man bro! thank you very much!
as i was afraid of no Cal in it. man i hate when theirs no cal in the food.lol

wonder how mater magic would work with that one? I am thinking mater magic mixed with DM red is going to do wonders? shit it might do good mixed with any of the TRF'S?

Yes..I concur...:)

(Edit : I think Mater Magic is road kill, but I have no proof...works good though or has for me).

No kidding, I picked some up at HD yesterday and it smelled like something my dog would buy for cologne... I had to play with a bottle of fish emulsion to get the smell off :)

Before they knew I valued such things, my dogs knocked a couple of outdoor pots over so they could roll in the dirt after I used fish ferts, so watch out for fido ;).

yep, the Mater Magic is rank, but MH, that plant you posted with the Mater Magic/OC+ combo is just beautiful!

Being slow-release, maybe the Mater Magic helps fill in any gaps produced by temps/irrigation in controlled-release OC+, Dynamite, etc.

In any case, I've got two of those goofy looking little tomato bottles that I need to use up somehow, so I'll work them into my plans somewhere ;).

My gut feeling is that mixing a good TRF with a good CRF is a very good idea, and it keeps the grow "just add water" if that's what you want to do, which is something I don't want to compromise on.

It's just too easy to go back to mixing nutes. You still have the option of adding supplements if you want to, but it's nice to have the choice.

My current plants are swelling and frosting up pretty well on just the DM and OC+, so it looks like they're getting everything they need.

I'm glad the weather cooled down, I had temps in the mid 80's and RH up to 55 a few days ago. Much better now, and that's really going to help with the second half of bloom.

I think I'll try the Mater Magic/OC+ combo when I transplant the two Sunset Kush moms I'm going to flower out. See how that works in coco.

We need to start a more general TRF / CRF thread than the oc+ one... and maybe a CMH thread too... it's so awesome to share info and ideas with every one of you guys... and it's not just the blue widow speaking... :smokin:

I tell ya what....get Scott's or Florikan as a sponsor. As soon as the word gets out that cannabis grows like any other plant, there's gonna be a seachange in the rip-off business of Cannabis nutes.

Mater magic might smell but it sure works great. I have been using the Mater magic mixed with the standard DM Organic and through the veg stage have had no problems. The plants are doing great. We'll see soon how it does in flowering.

ive always done better with a soiless mix and i also like the Fact that the SS#4 has no foods in it so i control all the feeding.

Don't discount the starter nutrient charge in the SS#4. This gives a nice boost to transplants, especially when their in a state of being watered/fertilized less often...

The last plain coir grow I did with Peters hydro + calcinit also included a couple of plants in Metro-Mix 560coir that includes a starter nutrient charge. Everything was transplanted on the same day and at roughly the same size, but the plants in the metro-mix grew considerably taller with more nodes and a higher yield.

(Edit : I think Mater Magic is road kill, but I have no proof...works good though or has for me).

Very similar to what I just started with the OC+ / Bio-tone Starter plus, accept the Bio-tone includes bacteria and fungi...

ive been looking all over for that stuff. i want to use that Bio-tone Starter plus real bad on my next grow.

After seeing ur post of the micros on this stuff i could use this over the mater magic, ive been wanting to use it because of all the micro life in it, but since it has cal in it then its game on.

By fungi, I was referring to the mycorrhizae. The product has both ecto and endo mycorrhizae, in addition to the beneficial bacteria. Here's the label from espoma.com:

for real, never smelled it.

sounds like a good idea.

thats for sure

ill look into that for sure.

Hey seen the invite to show my Mater Magic / OC+ girls off. I added some organic supplements and buffering to Roots Organic, then put a full dose according to the bottle of Mater Magic and 1/3 dose of OC+. My reasoning was to add more sources for the same nutes so she can be picky.

I have been watering and water/mollasses only.

I am gonna harvest a cola off this girl to meet my needs and let her go another week or so, or the whole thing...OCD thing I don't always have control over...;)

This is my Super Lemon Haze in that mix...only thing I added besides molasses (every 3rd watering approximately) was her initial hydrated lime (tablespoon in a gallon of water), she was the girl I noticed the low PH on...the others got preventative liming to start with.

And this is my Cheese on day 36 of 12/12. Same deal, no other supplements.

I think these "cheap" nutes work pretty okie dokie. :)

I have another 5 ft SLH that kinda went giant on me when I decided to not control her.

:bravo:Nute war cure.I like how you are going by the ingredience with your nutes. And yes I totally agree on nute companys ripping people off.I mean some nutes cost a bit more because of the way they are processed but they are so many splitting up all the macro and micro in all ready overpriced nutes just to quadriple there profits. My hats off to you I may not be farmiliar with your feeding apps but I know that we can surely both agree it does not take a high dallar nute program to get awsome results.:peace:

ya the big buds cost me $12 for the base nutes. and i could probably do a few hundred plants with that $12 bottle. these DM Red base nutes are going to be my main focus on my next grow. i like the DM purple and the OC+ but i can clearly see the DM red grows some killer fat ass buds. i just need to find a cheap way to mai9nly add some Cal to them, but i have a few ideas on that one. the only other thing that was added was green fuse witch cost me $20 for the whole grow with 6 plants feeding every two days.

i was spending big money on the other hydro nutes and not counting how i had to mix tons of bottle up and measure things all the time, now just PH water and everything works great. these hydro nutes need to step up them game, the words out now that were getting raped without even spitting 1st. there just sticking it in dry! never again will i pay those prices or buy hydro store nutes. i am a cheap ass with great buds to show!

Yes and they are some great buds........I do have a little hick up with my grow if any one can help.My plants are looking good an all but I am worried as I am using an organic ingredient with my first hydro bubble grow. And the problem is the organic is creating a lot of the bad bio.to form on my roots.I have flushed or have a sepperate bubbler that I use ph water with clearex or sometimes add a little 3 percent peroxide and bubble it till ph goes up.Mostly I use water. But any way if any one knows of any cure to get the slime to subside Or thinks its unevitable and nothing more I can do than what I am doing Id be veary greatfull. :peace:

Hey IB

I think I found something to mix with the DM. Mater Magic has 4% Calcium. I was prowling HD the other day (got the HPS sticks too) and found Ironite Mineral Supplement. The calcium in Ironite is 12%, more than anything else I found. It is a 1-0-1 formula. The website is Ironite.com if you click labels-MSDS you can see the break down of minerals. 10 pound bag was only $9.67.

I'm thinking DM Red with the Ironite and Epsom salts (for the magnesium) would be a great mix.
