1000 Watt Water Cooled Grow

So here is my L*SD. It's a momma. But as you can see the leaves are no where near as fat as your L*SD leaves. So that is cool to see some differences. I'm not pushing this one at all, just letting it do it's thing until I decide if it is a keeper or not.

I cleaned house on my moms towards the end of last year and flowered them. So the L*SD, SLH and others are the new mommas until the test come in.

Here is a little SLH clone, and it's not to much different then the one you have.

The lower leaves just went all limp once the thing was cloned, and never recovered. Good thing for new growth!

Yours really does look like a sativa pheno. Mine, the individual "leaflets" - the large ones anyway - are the size of 3 fingers at least. How was your seed after sprouting? Mine has seemed to stretch alot compared to the others. I think SLH just has weak genetics. Mine is slow to grow, and it doesn't like the nutes like the others do.
I am really impressed with the Kiwi Seeds plants, they love the nutes (no tip burn) and are just really healthy. I also think kiwi guarantees germination. You should check them out. The Mako Haze won the sativa category at the 2007 cannabis cup.
a gallon and a half per cubic ft would be plenty of perlite to add to soil. FFOF has some in it already right? But not nearly as much as the light warrior.

I added exactly 20% to a 1.5cu bag of FFOF, not sure how much it was but I think it might have been about a gallon. I forgot that FFOF had perlite in it already. May just keep it at 20%...not really sure though, will have to do a water retention experiment or something.

oi 20% of a cu ft is 1.5 gallons :ganjamon:

Haha, nice.

So I cut off everything above the 2nd node a few minutes ago. This will give me 4 main colas. The major benefit of this is it will open the center of the plant allowing light penetration to the interior, resulting in a higher yeild. :grinjoint:

Looks like things are starting to get rolling!!!

If I remember correctly it did stretch a bit when it popped. I think it will be a good bud. It's not the tightest of node spacing but its good.

The SLH I think is a big hit or miss at this time. The first seed I put down sprouted and then dampened off and died. Then I got a clone and it seems okay.It seems to have a tighter node spacing then LS*D. Again another of the test to determine if it is a keeper.

Yes the L*D did stretch quite a bit when it popped. I fed my SLH today, it's looking pretty good tbh. Might just be where I topped the others, it looks alot fuller...

The ultrasonic humidifier came in today, hooked it up and it works great. Have the RH at a steady 55%. The only boon is it lowers my temps about 5 degrees. They were at a balmy 75-76 now they are it is at 69. I raised the heat to compensate. Also A couple plants, L*D and Mako Haze, have developed nute burn since the topping...nothing serious, just on the older leaves at the 2nd node. If you want pics just ask.

Thought I would post some images. I fed with 1/2 strength nutes on Thursday, topped on Friday, and these were taken today Saturday. I wasn't planning on it, but do you all think I should flush - keeping in mind that these plants had 5 very healthy nodes? I am assuming the burn is a reaction to the topping.

All the upper growth is fine, just the 2 leaves at the 2nd node on the mako and only one leaf at the 2nd node on the L*D.

i doubt that the burns are from topping...i think its more of a ph issue. JMHO

The pH is spot on. Run-off is 6.75. I have a nice-ass tester so I'm not worried about pH. The reason I say it is from topping, is there wasn't any burn before I topped. I found mako had slight tip burn but is wasn't until several hours after topping that the burn developed. I have read that if you top, and especially as significantly as I did, the plants don't need as much nute.

Since it has pretty much done its thing and the burn isn't getting any worse (I think I can see new growth), I am inclined to let it be -- unless someone has better advice...

Not sure what the ppm is. Its 1/2 strength FF and a teaspoon of cal-mag. I use an RO-filter so the initial ppm can't be too high. Just go back a page and look what they looked like thursday...

I'm sure it's all good. would have been nice to have a spot-on grow though...

I see it! Hate when that happens it noticeably slows growth a bit and the plant may end up a lil behind but at least it was that big when it happened. Crazy it happened from topping but it makes sense.

Yeah its kinda a bummer. They really haven't done anything in the past couple days, just a tiny bit of growth. I was hoping it was from the topping but it seems to be persisting...at least they ARE growing.

On the plus side, they are about ready for a feed again. This means the roots are growing?... I could feed tomorrow but I am going to play it by ear and shoot for Tuesday; the last feed was Thursday. Anyway I am wondering if I should feed with the 1/2 strength again or cut back?

Oh yeah I have been wondering about the rep levels? Does anyone know what they are? Like how many point do you need to move to the next level?

rep levels are counts of good or bad points given to you from others. rep is every 100 points, or a green box is added, so 2=100+, 3=200+, that is what i have figured out.

I feed every other watering or 1 out of every 3 times. Gradually work up.

I'm asking if I should dial it back because of the burn. Don't want to make it worse. I can't feed every 2nd or 2rd watering...I'm only watering about once a week as it is.

May have to start using the ppm meter to dial things in. Right now the Milky way is doing great with no sign of overfeeding at all. I am thinking I could up the nutes on it. I fed the SLH yesterday with an upped dosage and it seems to be responding well.

You said you have never needed to calibrate your ppm meter?
