KiwiKing, looks as though all is well. When you transplant it will help to put more perlite in the soil mix to help improve airiness in the root zone.
I've got some 100% perlite hempy's going and they hold water for a day with smaller plants. I also have a 1-2 month old clone in a 16oz FF soil cup, gets watered maybe weekly. It is a runt, because the roots can't breath.
Great job so far awesome looking little plants. I'm tuned in!

yeah perlite is really good. there is a lot of it in most of my mixes although now I"m moving straight to pure coco in conjunction with a smart pot for aeration and I expect to see vast improvement in my root systems.
Kiwi, looking great bro, just got caught up. I have some comments for ya:
I like the homemade chiller, as I like most DIY. I am getting a fresca myself, i was gonna get a hood and some ice box's, but the fresca turned out to be cheaper. I already have a chiller so I'm set on that. its a small one and was fairly cheap. . . wha did you spen to build yours? it's 150 watts and about $220-250. google "Aqua Euro CL-150". I think, given the 12 hour dark cycle, It will be able to keep it fairly cool. I'm gonna use a 55 gal res. . . since you are using one, check it out, tell me what you think.
about the light. . . and pretty much everything else. . . that chart is just a general guideline. . . how fast a plant can grow will depend on a lot of things including light, co2, nutes, etc, etc. The plant will be limited by one before the others, and that will be as fast as the plant will grow. . . so if you add co2, or have a better nute regimen, or its warmer outside, your plant will be able to use more light.
that being said, there is prob a general upper bound in non-co2 enriched areas and that chart is probably a good guideline for that. . . the advantage to 1000w over 600 is twofold. one, better penetration. more light means it will get down deeper into the canopy. two, coverage. even if you had everything optimum, that two extra inches of height will give you a lot more area to cover. IMO, there is no need to run them that close, i would want 1kw to be at least a foot away, regardless of how hot it was. probably more like 16-18" at closest in full bloom
I'll be watching bro. this will be fun. that 1k is gonna kick the hell out of that tent bro.
when you go to your pics in your album, you have to click on them to get to the big size. then paste that img.
how many plants are you going to grow in there? just the four? you could wait a week and clone them. that would effectively top them, and then you'd have 8 plants in your area. . . 1kw is a ton of light, and having more plants would cut down your veg time considerably. do you have cloning materials? have you cloned before?
btw, sorry if you said this before, but how long do you plan to veg? are you going to wait for alternating nodes? i like topping, but it will add some more veg time to recover.
plants look very healthy buddy. nice work so far. the L*D's leaf coverage is insane.
KiwiKing, plants look nice and healthy. I'd go up to 30% perlite, since 20% is taking the things some time to dry or get re-watered. I must have a totally different pheno for the L_S_D as mine looks nothing like yours. My L*SD is like a sativa.
