I feel ya! One of my biggest ones was a male but I used him to cross with one of my girl clones so he wasn’t a total waste! Now I’ll have seeds at least for later use down the road.

I keep thinking I should have collected and kept some pollen for future strains, but not sure what strain it was to begin with. I do have one female from the same strain as the male, so I could clone, but I think I'd like to know what I have to invest anymore time for this run. I have some known strains to run next, this was a practice and learning experience, but hopefully with an end result I can smoke. lol
 
I will be doing a water change and picture updates tomorrow. I added a small dehumidifier this morning since my humidity has been running high with the lights creating more heat. I also plan on adding a scrog net now that I have more room with just the 2 plants now.

Thanks to all of you sticking with me with my first grow. I can assure you the next run will be more interesting, and I should be able to assist new growers with a little knowledge under my belt.

This is a learning experience, and practice. Let’s not overwhelm ourselves and keep it simple!!

On your next grow, or down the road, maybe you can dabble into it, but for right now. Let’s just get this grow under your belt! I’m not saying you can’t research it and learn about it, and expand your knowledge, but in my opinion. You did the right thing with chopping him down!! :thumb:

Absolutely understand that! I am just finishing my very first grow and my second grow is 7 days into the 12/12 switch. I thankfully knew the strain that I used to pollinate my girl clone with but when I purchased the seeds I thought they were feminized seeds but to my surprise 7 days into flower I had a male so I scrambled and made a plan with my bestie to take the male Deadhead OG and gave her a Green Crack female clone and we crossed them. The female is still in flower but she has seeds so fingers crossed we might have a new strain and some good seeds. :ganjamon: Once I get a good stash on hand I am definitely gonna mess around with breeding and making feminized seeds but as you said my main end goal is to have smoke on hand:bong: Happy growing!
 
Dealing with 2 plants in a 2x4 tent is easier.
Both plants are 800ppm, 5.8ph and water is 69 degrees.
Tent temp is 78 with 68% humidity. Trying to reduce humidity with a small dehumidifier in the tent, but it's struggling.
Lights are on full blast at 18 inches above their canopy.

Normally, I could blame it on a wake in bake, but this week I have been behaving. lol
