Zooie's Secret Closet Soil Grow 2020

Plants are looking great,Zooie- it's impressive how much they've grown
in just the last 3 days- and they all look soooo happy!

Hey Z. If you have any dessicant packs you can toss some in with your MC. This will keep it nice and dry. I also store mine in a jar now. It seems to keep the dust down that occurs from opening the bag.:thumb:

Just don't try to mix the stuff in front of a circulation fan. Lol.
One of our members:rolleyes: did that and everyone laughed at her.
You don't want a face full of that stuff.

Hope everyone is having a good day! :) The plants had a watering this morning with 3g/gal MC. They are shooting up fast, looks like I may be able to top soon? I want to train them to spread out, try some lst with them also. Ok I need to slow down.....lol...I remember someone told me...if I think I need to do something with them....wait.....lol. The use of MC in my grow so far has been amazing to me. So far it has been easy to use, (works great after being ground up) as @Virgin ground said it would. :green_heart: The pictures of them in the solo cups were taken on Dec 31.

Hey!
Your little girls look fantastic. Any thoughts on training?? You mentioned topping. Any lst or quadding??

If topping for the quad method then I would wait for the fifth or sixth node to show good strong growth. For LST visit @InTheShed's tutorial on LST found here. He can guide you better if you are looking for some help.

Thank You, I will check that link out. This journal is going to help me, now I can go back and see what you all are trying to teach me...:green_heart:

Quadding is a method designed by a member here Asesino85 and many growers swear by it.

Asesino85
Quadlining started a couple of years ago when I was trying to come up with a training method to get a good, low, even shape to the plants without slowing them down too much. Fluxing took way too long to perform and Mainlining also took a long time in veg to accomplish. Neither seemed like good fits for what I was trying to achieve. Instead I took a combination of both training methods and made quadlining. I've always said it isn't rocket science and it isn't anything brand new but I've put them together and created a system to allow aggressive growth without slowing the plants down much at all. It redistributes energy to focus on 4 main support branches and tries not to waste energy on things that will not amount to anything in the end. It also achieves a nice, even canopy with good spacing for airflow and light to penetrate decreasing the chance of mold and problems while increasing yield. Keeping them low also allows for growing in tight spaces or with height restrictions like most indoor growing. These were all the goals I wanted to achieve and quadlining does just that.

There's a community thread dedicated to it here:
