Yankeetoker At It Again: C99 & Pineapple Chunk In Soil Under LED Lights

Update 10/1/16 (Day 20 since 12-12/ 73 overall)

Both plants continue to grow well...Pineapple Chunk seems to be a little further along into flowering than the C99.

Some yellowing leaves and purple stems on both plants, so I gave them a light epsom salt foliar spray this morning at lights out.

After using up their water in 5 days last cycle, plants seem to be slowing down a little, as next projected watering is on Monday which is 6 days since last soaking.

Some pics from yesterday and this morning...

That supersoil is doing it's thing !! been wanting to build my own soil, but $$ is a problem. i'm using FF ocean forest at the moment. But your plants are definately growing faster than mine. I start tying mine down starting while they're in one gal containers, so they don't get very high. If you don't restrain the PAC then it's going to become an unruly monster !! If it's the same pheno I have ? It's really a potent species but hard to control in the grow room, and is not a big producer. Lot of popcorn buds !! but it's great smoke !!
I would consider supercropping soon & try to level out the canopy . Do you know the npk make up of your organic bloom soil ? i tried to veg with this Vermicrop organic mix (nutrient rich) called vermifire and it's to hot straight out of bag !! i been experimenting with numerous grow mixes for yrs. now. Thought FFOF was the one , but now I've had big spiders in that stuff, BIG spiders, and I have been lucky to kill them in the bag, I don't need a new breed of giant spider running through my house !! I think all company's start out to build a good clean product, then start buying materials, from south american countries. I've never seen a spider that big and that black(silver dollar size). And the little flying bugs have gotten worse in FF. I have unlimited excess to good quality compost, but I've gotten to old & out of shape to get er done . Might try hydro ?
I wish you a heavy harvest !!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I was thinking of doing some serious defol on both plants to remove some of those huge fan leaves, nothing too extreme. I would leave those that surround bud sites. What you think?

It's from Barney's Farm...

Have never supercropped...will have to do a lil reading ..

Thanks again!

I'm going to agree with Slowpuffer about the training. Those girls look rubust but a bit unruly. I was abit timid to mention it because you may have strong convictions about the 'right' way to train. In my experience, an even canopy is worth it. My one plant over half a pound was with a robust and even canopy.

Slowpuffer - have you looked into Doc Bud's Hi-Brix? I grew a full organic mix soil for several harvest, but due to moving and rebooting my grow, I'm going with the Hi-Brix kit. I have seen a lot of very fine grows and admire the robust, near organic, soil based grow method at a price less than most spend on nutes.

I have no strong convictions, I'm a newbie grower!

Got up early this morning and "tussled with the girls....How ya like me now? .

Hopefully this helps....in a couple of days I will remove some more tiny branches (which I have been doing daily) and oversized fan leaves

Thanks for coming through...just finished admiring your work...I can only dream....

Just tried my first attempt at supercropping this morning, hope they respond well.

You'll have slowed her down , harvest will be a week or so out.. Lst is way to go during flower.. Thanks but no need to dream...

Was tying them down, but they just kept fighting it....was suggested that I try supercropping (that C99 was inches from lights ), so hopefully this helps.

Maybe not dream, but I admire your work just the same.

I am not the biggest fan of suppercropping, it looks a little to savage for me. I wouldn't be able to tell if you did it alright or not, but looks like it's bent nicely, not broken. Anyway, looks like GrizzWald knows what he's talking about.

If you like savage training, check out backbuilding guide.

I will just leave this here, happy growing :Namaste:

I felt the same way when I started working on the first plant, but by the time I put them back in the tent with several inches of headroom restored I felt a little better.

Can't wait until this evening to get a look at them though...now back building didn't seem as "savage" when I looked at it....will try that in a few weeks, as well.

Lookin good.. I usually try to bend my stems around week 2 if need but I broke both on accident this round. They actually responded well and both tops look large and in charge. Last round I accidentally broke at top about 4 weeks into flower and she hated it. The top turned out the size of a side branch... Your side branching is going to love the extra light:thumb:

Is that CINDY!?! Cindi Lopped-her?

... You look great girl. Got it going on!

......Yeah. I know. We all should have started taking care of ourslves earlier, but d*mn girl. You look sweet.

Shaving .. Oh yeah. It's homecoming weekend. Those legs could use a shave.

If it's not going to be a beautiful flower, and it's down low, those little hairs needs plucking.

You don't want no 12 hair flowers. Trust me.. I've been there.

And you Patti cakes! Wow :cheertwo:

That light really was going to toast you into Beyonce land. Glad you found a way out of a relationship that was going bad.

... Yeah, it hurts to lose a week. But I know you. You'll come back strong :)

:goodjob:
